Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3861: Alternatives

After dealing with the three monks of the Nine Yang Court, Alex made his way to the Artifact God, still very much followed by Sunflare. Upon arriving, Sunflare entered the courtyard all on his own, while Alex walked into the workshop, where the barrier enclosed around him.

"You’re here quite quickly," the Artifact God said. "I thought you would take a while."

"There wasn’t much left to do," Alex said. "You must’ve been called there to talk about the Movement God too, then."

She raised an eyebrow. "You were told about him?"

"The Sky God saw it fit that I should know, you know, given I’m technically a Half God," Alex said.

"That does sound fair," the Artifact God said. "A horrible thing, that. We’re supposed to go for a peace meeting soon, and we lose one of us to a bunch of bandits."

"Bandits?" Alex asked.

"That’s all they are. Those damn Godbreakers, or whatever it is they are called. They try to take over my master’s name to further themselves. I can’t think of anything else to call them," she said.

Alex nodded slowly, not engaging with her on that topic anymore. He had known somewhat that the Godbreakers did in fact take after Godkiller and Godslayer.

"Here, the feathers," Alex said, bringing out all the feathers Ray had used the bracer on. He handed them all over in a storage bag, which the Artifact God took.

Once she took it, she looked through it for a moment before nodding. "You said you have the Heavenly Silk threads as well?" she asked.

"Yes, I do. How much do you need?" Alex asked.

"How much do you have?" she asked.

Alex brought out a single spool and handed it over to her. "I have about 3 more of those."

"Give me 1 more. I don’t think I’ll need it all, but just in case."

"Of course," Alex said, bringing out another spool of silk thread. "It’s always better to have more thread, after all. Is there anything else you need?"

"Not really," she said. "I doubt you have what I need anyway. I’ll need to search elsewhere for a few of the final materials."

Alex narrowed his eyes. "What exactly do you need? Maybe I have it."

The Artifact God looked toward him with narrowed eyes. "I don’t think you do, but just in case you do, do you have a Yang Stone?" she asked.

Alex’s eyes wandered in thought. "Do you mean the spirit stones with Yang energy in them?" he asked. The last time he had seen one was during his first year of cultivation, back in the Forbidden Fields behind the Hong Wu Sect.

"Why a Yang Stone?" he asked.

"I need to utilize the Yang in Yang Stones to empower the Yang aura inside these feathers. I have prepared a few more things, but that is one last thing I’ve yet to find," she answered. "Of course, it needs to be at least a Divine-rank Yang Stone. Any less and it likely won’t work."

Alex nodded slowly. "I don’t have Yang Stones."

"I figured. I’ll see if I can—"

"I didn’t finish, senior," Alex said. "I don’t have Yang Stones, but I have something better."

He brought out a few yellow gems that glowed brightly with yellow light, drawing in an intense amount of Yang from the surroundings. "Would this work?"

The Artifact God’s eyes narrowed in wild curiosity. She took one of the gems from Alex’s hand and looked at it closely. The intensity of the Yang aura she sensed inside it was something she had never before seen in her life.

"What... what is this?" she asked. "I’ve never before seen something that contained such pure Yang energy."

"It’s called a Sunheart or a Yang Core," Alex explained. "Because of the special properties of Hell, where only Yang aura persists in the surroundings during the day, the beasts of that region have adapted to surviving it by creating this core in their bodies. It absorbs the Yang energy into this core, and that allows them to survive the day."

"During the night, it flips. Instead of drawing in Yang, it sends out Yang instead, which allows them to survive deep inside the sand where the Yin is high."

The Artifact God’s eyes widened in great fascination. "Such a thing exists in Hell? I’ve never heard of something like this before."

"It apparently existed long ago too, before..." He paused, nearly telling her about the broken planet. "It existed a long time ago, but disappeared for some reason. It returned in Hell because of the atmosphere, from what I heard."

The Artifact God nodded slowly, looking over the Sunhearts. "These are great, but these won’t work for what I need. Though, you said they flip, right? How does one do that?"

"You can’t. These stones are stuck this way forever until they draw enough Yang to fill themselves entirely. Then they incubate for some time before they start sending out Yang aura," Alex told her. "That being said, I do have quite a few that are already doing that."

He produced more Sunhearts, though this time they were Decaying Sunhearts.

"I believe these would work?" Alex asked.

Considering that the Decaying Sunhearts had such pure Yang that they could activate formations all by themselves, there was no doubt that they would work.

The Artifact God took the Decaying Sunhearts with an equal amount of fascination toward them as well. Seeing the handful Alex had brought out, she couldn’t help but be curious.

"Just how many of these do you have with you?" she asked.

"I have more than a few," Alex said, not giving her the exact amount. "Though, I’m afraid I can’t use them as artifact materials that often. I have very different plans for what I want to do with the Sunhearts I have."

The Artifact God nodded. "Let me do some tests with these first and see if they work. If they do, I can start working on making your robe," she said with a grin. "Trust me, I have an incredible idea for what I want it to be."
