Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3057: Invitation

Chapter 3057: Invitation

Steelheart had safely arrived at the Spirit Blossom Realm some years later and began sending the occasional letters to keep up with Steelmind. In one of his early letters, he had said that he wanted to settle down with a family, and just as he said, a few letters later, he had found himself a wife.

His wife was someone like him—a previous fighter who was now trying to escape the flames of war. They had met on their way to the Spirit Blossom Realm, but it hadn’t been until a few decades later that they had finally decided to live together.

Steelmind was quite happy for the two and promised to meet them at his earliest convenience, but with the war ramping up, he couldn’t leave his station just yet. With more requests piling up, he soon got busy making more artifacts.

He still sent letters and received them from Steelheart, not missing a single occasion. And then, at one point, he received two letters at once.

Steelmind read the first letter, surprised by the happy news he received. Steelheart had a daughter now and had decided that Steelmind had to be the godfather of the child. As such, he was called right away, at his earliest convenience, to meet his goddaughter.

Steelmind was more than ecstatic to hear the news and decided to leave for the Spirit Blossom Realm as soon as he had the chance to. However, even as he made that decision, he saw the other letter he had, and his eyes froze in shock when he saw the emblem upon it.

A picture of blue armor combined with two large wings on its back was the emblem of the Sky God. Opening the letter, he found an empty piece of paper with no text on it.

However, as soon as he held it, he heard a deep voice in his mind, belonging to an old man who should have lived longer than anyone else in this world. And the man asked a single question.

“Would you like to become a God?”

Half a century later, Steelmind stood atop a large cliff with a gorge that went far down on one side and a white staircase that led to a brilliant palace painted in a color so white that it nearly looked like it was glowing.

This was his first time arriving at the Sky God’s palace, so he was more than happy to have come here. Some soldiers took him to the Sky God’s palace, and while he didn’t immediately get to meet the Sky God, he was welcomed by the Sky God’s prime disciple, Xin Huachen.

More Gods were meant to arrive soon, so he would have to wait for some time.

Steelmind wasn’t particularly happy about having to wait, especially since he could’ve gone to see his goddaughter first, but given how long it would’ve taken to go there, he could only sigh in the end.

From the Golden Dao Realm to the Spirit Blossom Realm, there were exactly five Interrealm teleportations to be made, and the Sky God’s palace was the fourth one. So, he would still not have reached there had he taken the other route.

Besides, he was excited at the prospect of what was being offered. A God? Him? It was a fascinating thought.

He had heard a while ago that they were deciding to get more Gods, so this might have been that initiative.

After some time, he was brought along to a large hall where an older, white-haired man in green armor welcomed him. The old man was the Sky God, Luo Guanghui, better known as Skyfeather.

While the old man commanded the air in the room and all eyes were pointed at him, Steelmind looked at his armor—something that was attached deep in his memory that he had received from his inheritance.

The armor was half of the artifact created from the corpse of a Primordial beast: the Roc. He had wanted to see it for some time, and here it was.

The old man introduced himself and then went around the room, introducing the others there as well. Steelmind quickly panicked as he realized that everyone in the room was a God. He had seen very few before, so he hadn’t realized it.

The Storm God sat leisurely, giving little attention to what was happening outside. The Fire God turned toward everyone as he nodded, his eyes lingering a second longer on Steelmind, as he had made his crown artifact.

A bald man sat with his eyes closed, thick stone beads making a necklace around him. The man was introduced as Lodestone, the Stone God.

An older woman with graying hair was introduced as the Ice God, and a man with magnificent blue hair was introduced as the Ocean God.

Steelmind had made the Ocean God’s healing artifact, but he had not seen the man before, so he was fascinated.

The Sword God, Spear God, Axe God, Method God, Weapons God, and several other Gods were introduced.

Scarstone, the master of formations, introduced himself, at which point Steelmind finally realized that not everyone in the room was a god.

He introduced himself when it was his turn, as the master of Artifacts, and let the others continue.

There was a woman who had mastery over poison, a man who could use puppets, a woman who had the skills of the greatest dancer, and another who could draw paintings so realistic that one could get hypnotized.

’So many,’ Steelmind thought, thoroughly surprised. “Is everyone going to become a God?”

A total of 13 had introduced themselves as of yet, and every single one of them was likely going to be a god.

The last to introduce themselves was a woman with a pale face, whose sight alone gave Steelmind the feeling that he should stay away from her. Her looks were among the most captivating he had ever seen, and yet for some reason, his body told him not to interact with her.

The woman stood when it was her turn and bowed slightly as she introduced herself.

“Greetings, everyone. I am Duskcorpse, a master of the Death Dao.”
