Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2996: Achievements

Chapter 2996: Achievements

At this point, Alex wasn’t sure if he was trying to get to his friend or visiting the parents of a woman he was courting. Why did he have to prove he was worthy or not?

Still, since Scarlet’s mother had asked for it, he was more than willing to share why he was worthy.

“Since you already know your daughter wishes to remain bonded with me, I hope that speaks to my character. Which means, I can only imagine you want to learn of my qualifications and achievements.”

“As you just found out, I have the Sun God’s body. You may not believe it, but the Sun God was in fact the one who blessed the progenitors of the Four Families. One day I will prove that to you by invoking your vows, but that day is long in the future.”

Scarlet’s grandfather listened with an amused look on his face, as if seeing him contend with his daughter was a fun pastime for him.

Alex continued.

“I am able to cultivate very quickly. I am not even a millennia old, and I am already about to reach the Immortal Transcendent realm. It may not seem that surprising to you all since you’ve lived in this world all your life, but I come from a Lower World, and cultivation there isn’t as quick.”

“My cultivation would’ve likely been even faster had I not been stuck in Hell for some time. Speaking of which, I escaped Hell too, which hadn’t been done in many, many years.”

The smile on Scarlet’s grandfather vanished when he heard that. His eyes narrowed now as he began to seriously listen to Alex.

“I also have a Battle Power of 9. I am told the members of the Four Families have a decent Battle Power too, but I’m willing to bet it is not 9.”

“I also once held the White Tiger’s bloodline if that is of anything to persuade you. Although, it belonged to Pearl, so I returned it to him,” Alex said. “Speaking of which, Pearl here is a White Tiger and he’s bonded to me. The White Tiger Patriarch himself decided to let our bond stay. That is despite the fact that Pearl is quite special.”

“The news should come to you very soon, Seniors, but let me be the first to tell you about it. Pearl is the son of a White Tiger and an Azure Dragon. He is a bridge between the Four Families.”

Feng Xianhei and Feng Ningzhu were quite shocked at the information they were being told at this point. Neither of them had expected Alex to say so much about himself, and yet not a single one of it sounded false.

And much more than that, Alex wasn’t even done yet.

“In terms of my fighting capability, I am a swordsman, and a disciple to the Sword God. Although, I can understand if that doesn’t mean anything to you all, since you don’t interact with the humans and demons a lot.”

“I have many Daos too, the most important one of which should matter to you two is my True Fire Dao. I am also very close to learning Time Dao.”

“Although I consider myself an excellent fighter, my biggest pride has always been my Alchemy skills. I am the greatest human Alchemist of the current generation,” Alex said. “And that is no boast of my past. There was a competition, and I won.”

“There are many other things I could tell you still, but at this point, if I haven’t already persuaded you, then I can only imagine that you didn’t ask me to list out my worth with an open mind,” Alex said. “So, please make your decision, now that I’ve said what I’ve said.”

Alex’s words were followed by a silence that lingered a bit too long. He looked at Scarlet’s mother, and when she didn’t speak, he turned to her father.

“You… you are an Alchemist?” the Phoenix asked.

“Yes,” Alex said, a little surprised that of all the things, that was the thing he had ended up focusing on.

“You said you’re a really good one too, right?” he asked.

Alex nodded. The reaction confused him.

Scarlet’s grandfather turned his head, looking to Scarlet’s mother who was still dumbfounded. “Did you hear? He’s an Alchemist. You were always angry that your daughter couldn’t follow along in your footsteps, right? Now look, she’s ended up bonding to an Alchemist instead.”

Scarlet’s mother nodded slowly.

Alex paused for a moment, trying to parse the information hidden in plain sight. A strange few bits of memory surfaced in his mind, mostly surrounding Scarlet and when she talked about her parents.

He had a very vague and hazy recollection of Scarlet talking about her mother and her pills. He only belatedly remembered the truth.

“You’re an Alchemist, Senior?” Alex asked with raised brows.

“Yes, I am,” she said, her haughtiness returning to her after her surprised voice. “And unlike you, I don’t claim to be the best. Only one of them.”

“I did say I was the best only among my generation,” Alex said. “I would not dare claim I am the best of them all, but I do believe I will eventually cross that line too.”

Feng Xianhei stared at him for a long time before she decided upon something.

“Fine,” she said. “You claim to be so good, so let me test it out. If you can pass it, I’ll let you meet my daughter.”

“An Alchemy test?” Alex asked. “If so, you may begin any time, Senior.” Tʜe source of this ᴄontent s nοvelfire.net

Feng Xianhei scoured through her soul space in order to find some sets of ingredients and brought them out. Along with the ingredients, she brought out three recipes as well.

She tossed them before Alex. “Make these three pills,” she said. “If a single one of them turns out bad, you will fail.”

Alex read through the recipes and nodded as he recognized them to be pills he had made before. Each one was an Immortal pill, so it would be quite easy.

“I shall start right away then.”
