Chapter 2293: Oda Nobunaga’s Endless Castle [11]

Nobunaga’s Spirit looked at the pearl, his eyes widening as he felt frustrated that he couldn’t do anything.

His generals were there but remained silent. Under the power of Hajun, they could not rebel.𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

To gain all his power and fame, to conquer and unify Zipangu, Oda Nobunaga had to sell his soul and body to this chaotic demon.

And now, he was nothing but his slave.

"Phew, fine, fine, I’ll go to sleep again..." Hajun yawned. "Call me when things get more interesting, alright? You’ve been a good vessel lately, Oda. You’ve offered me the fresh blood of dragons and the radiance of that ’Venerable.’ If you offer them to me whole, I may reward you and your generals with even more of my power."

Like a mischievous genie who liked playing and manipulating people, the chaos-born demon, Hajun, or Papiyas, as known by many, disappeared. Oda rapidly returned to his original form, gasping for air.

"Haaa... Haaa... Haaa..."

"Your majesty!"

"Are you alright, great lord?!"

Mitsuhide and Maeda ran to his aid, but Oda quickly shook their arms off, glaring at the projection with slight annoyance, although he knew things could have been worse.

"I’m fine! Don’t touch me...!"

Perhaps it wasn’t such a bad idea, actually. Susanoo was indeed the strongest Kami. If he went on a hunting spree and killed everyone...

Wouldn’t that be for the better?

"Hmph, perhaps this isn’t so bad... Hajun-sama works in mysterious ways, but his moves are always carefully calculated," Oda smiled. "For all the Kami that Susanoo brought here, your King has granted me permission to lead you into battle! I have several targets I want eliminated, and you’ll move toward each one of them and take them down, understood?"

Oda Nobunaga spoke to the seven other figures in front of him, all covered by the shadows of his large hall, their figures and shapes varying from one another. Some were larger than others, some small, resembling animals, and others were giants.

"Very well."

"Whatever..."

"So we just kill them? That’ll be easy."

"I swear, Susanoo-sama is always so impulsive and reckless! Why can’t he let us handle the reptile?"

"He killed his three friends. He is not someone we can easily handle! Let’s simply take down the weaker ones."

"If we kill his family, then that would probably make him suffer a lot, right?"

"Indeed! That’s a wonderful revenge plan!" Oda laughed at the suggestions of the wicked Kami.

They were once pure of heart and righteous. Amaterasu created every Kami like this, as embodiments of Elements, Myths, and Legends, but a few of them slowly changed. Perhaps living with so much luxury and boredom made them become spoiled.

That spoiled nature turned them into narcissists, and from there, they worsened, always believing they deserved more and that they never had enough. Susanoo was the same, and he led this rebellion against the Nine Heavens and his own sister, who had given everything to them.

And yet, these Kami wanted more...

Now, with Amaterasu dead, Zipangu thrown into complete chaos, and this new world right in front of them ready to be conquered and plundered of all its resources and beauty, the Kami from Zipangu who obeyed Susanoo simply couldn’t resist the urge.

"The Black Court of Takaamahara is under your service, Oda Nobunaga!" A tall Kami resembling a giant made of stone and covered with plants stepped forward. "Tell us whom we must slay, and we’ll do it for Susanoo-sama!"

"Perfect, excellent!" Oda laughed. "Now, please..."

Nobunaga spread his hands, as several black portals emerged, and the Kami stepped through them, aiming toward their victims.

Each portal led to one of the separated people, either Drake’s family, allies, or the other Venerables who had entered.

Nobunaga glanced at each of the doors he was targeting. Those who were Drake’s allies were especially the weakest, so he wanted them gone as quickly as possible.

As for the Venerables, sending them a Kami might not be enough, but he had other plans for that. He would use them and force them to kill each other.

And, specifically for that Moonlight-wielding Venerable, there was someone who might be her match.

"OOOOOOGGHHHH... AAAAGGHHHHHHHHH...!"

The wailing groans of a grieving, resentful corpse echoed through the endless black abyss of this dimension, as Oda Nobunaga quickly summoned her toward Héluna and the great formation protecting Oberon’s resurrection.

TRUUUM!

A gigantic pair of hands with long claws suddenly hit her barriers, spreading giant cracks through them. Héluna, who had remained still since she got there, simply protecting Oberon while awaiting an opportunity to get out, saw what happened in disbelief.

"What?! What is that?"

The giant claws emerging from a black portal disappeared, only to reappear again and again, constantly hitting her barrier from every angle, trying to reach Oberon and interrupt whatever he was doing there.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

"Stop! Who dares...?! WHO DARES INTERRUPT MY MASTER?!"

Héluna once more lost her composure. Despite being well known as a wise, composed, and very calm ruler, she had a hidden, temperamental side that almost bordered on the psychotic.

And right now, in this desperate moment where her master, Oberon, was being threatened, she unleashed her true self and dropped the mask completely.

"{Radiant Moonlight Blight}!"

FLAAASH!

Dozens of giant magic circles manifested out of thin air, spinning around and firing giant beams of moonlight and blight toward the claws, pushing them away or scaring them, making them retreat to wherever they came from.

However, that was short-lived, as the black portals began bleeding into one another, creating an even larger black hole in space, where a monstrous zombie-like woman emerged, hundreds of meters tall, screaming while her glowing eyes glared at Héluna.

"GRAAAAAAHHHH!"

"What is that thing?! Wait, don’t tell me...! Master, is this who I think it is?!"

"Indeed, I had learned some information about that. There was a Rebellion in Zipangu, and Amaterasu, one of the Primordials like Oblivion, Pandemonium, and Chaos, was killed by her own creations... how ironic. What you see right now, my disciple, is her corpse, reanimated into a monster that controls this entire dimension."
