Tian Tian was momentarily speechless, and could only glare fiercely at Shen Tiancheng.

Then, from the corner of her eye, she noticed a pair of vicious, cold green eyes staring intently at her.

The gaze had no emotion whatsoever, only the plunder and savagery of seeing food.

It’s here!

Tian Tian murmured in her heart, then tightly gripped her pistol.

"Hold on to me!"

As soon as Shen Tiancheng finished speaking, Tian Tian heard a familiar low thud, and saw a wolf collapsing not far away.

Simultaneously, a wolf howl echoed around them, and Tian Tian could even see the sharp fangs of the wolf, emanating a chilling coldness.

The howl stopped abruptly due to a bullet in the center of its forehead.

Tian Tian’s hands were shaking, desperately trying to suppress the fear in her heart, repeatedly telling herself not to be afraid, not to be afraid, or she would end up as a skeleton.

The trembling hand held the gun, slowly raising it.

As the wolves lunged at them, she suddenly released Tiancheng’s hand she had unconsciously grabbed before, gripping the pistol, aiming, and pulling the trigger.

Although she had practiced shooting at a gun range before, without formal training, Tian Tian fired four shots in a row, only managing to bring down one wolf, which twisted its body, letting out vicious yet tragic howls.

Tian Tian’s scalp tingled, her eyes flickered, quickly grabbed the rope beside her, then looked at Shen Tiancheng.

Shen Tiancheng glanced at her and nodded.

Tian Tian ran two steps towards the trap, reaching the edge, simultaneously leaving Shen Tiancheng’s protection, becoming a meat shield in the eyes of the wolves.

The already starving wolves, seeing Tian Tian unprotected, their eyes glowing green, revealing savage and greedy expressions, roared as they rushed towards her.

Blood rushed in her veins as fear surged through her, almost forgetting to react.

She quickly fastened the rope around herself and pressed the button on the device in her hand.

Four or five starving wolves charged madly at Tian Tian, and just as they were about to bite, the ground suddenly vanished beneath their paws, followed by shrill screams. Those behind tried to halt but collided in their eagerness to feast.

For a moment, the forest echoed with the shrill howls of starving wolves, so loud that snowflakes fell from the branches.

Tian Tian, who almost felt the wolves’ hot breath, was now suspended in the air.

She pressed the button again, the rope ascended further, reaching a large horizontal tree branch, using both hands and feet to climb up as quickly as possible despite the biting cold.

The pit claimed their lives, starving headless wolves lay in the trap ahead, while those attacking Shen Tiancheng now appeared not only angry and fierce but more savage, and with a roar, they pounced almost entirely at Shen Tiancheng.

From the tree, Tian Tian watched, startled, and aimed rapidly at the wolf furthest from Shen Tiancheng, shooting quickly.

Seeing the wolf howl miserably and collapse, Tian Tian exhaled in relief, then fired again.

With the initial fear and tension gone, only thinking about survival, her shooting improved significantly, hitting the target more often. Even if the wolves weren’t killed, they were injured, slowing down and howling constantly, allowing Tian Tian to follow up with another shot, usually hitting.

Seeing the wolves surrounding Shen Tiancheng, Tian Tian dared to aim quickly at the wolf closest to him, steeling herself, and shot.
