Deep in Qi Mountain, the branches of the towering trees in the primordial forest are covered in snow, creating a world cloaked in white. Unlike the bustling streets and bright lights of Shengjing, this is an entirely new realm.

Snow wolves hunt in the snow, and the prey ahead, an elk, runs frantically but ultimately cannot escape the wolf pack’s siege. Soon, blood splatters everywhere, and the tall elk turns into a blood-soaked skeleton, abandoned in the snow.

The cold wind sweeps through, and snowflakes fall from the branches of the trees, scattering all over and quickly covering the bloody scene. The forest once again becomes a pure, unblemished world.

It seems as though the bloody scene just now never happened at all.

Bai Chenyao and Li Mu hide in a cave not far away, watching the wolf pack move off into the distance without immediately emerging.

Wolves are naturally aggressive and are social animals. Encountering a wolf pack in the primordial forest is normal.

Compared to the forest king, the tiger, the wolf pack is even more intimidating.

Because they always appear in groups and are extremely cunning and intelligent, even using various tactics. If you’re not careful, you could end up as wolf food.

The pack’s sense of smell is also incredibly acute. While this cave is remote, located on the cliffside of a small hill, the wolf pack might still discover it.

In such a cold winter, there are not many animals out and about. One elk is certainly not enough to feed more than ten wolves, so they will definitely continue to hunt.

And from here, the marshland is not too far; Bai Chenyao and Li Mu seem to have entered the marshland but soon found themselves precariously crossing most of the front part of the marshland. When they reached the middle, there was a small hill, the location they are currently in.

Leaving here leads to another endless horizon, with no visible dangers in the primordial forest. Yet, those snow fields covered by weeds and snow are the path to death. Although they may not seem as foreboding as the ancient trees in the forest, they hide even greater dangers.

"Sir, I’ll go take a look!"

Li Mu spoke up, and Bai Chenyao shook his head.

"No rush, the wolf pack’s sense of smell is very keen. Though our wounds have scabbed over, they might not escape their noses."

Li Mu’s face showed no emotion, but his expression was solemn.

"But we’ve been trapped here for two days now."

Bai Chenyao lifted his gaze to look at Li Mu.

"We’re not trapped; we’re waiting!"

Li Mu: "..."

He realized that, having been by the master’s side for so many years, he never seemed to understand him.

"Waiting?"

Bai Chenyao nodded, his dark eyes coldly staring into the distance.

"His people will come soon!"

Li Mu: "..."

Even more confused.

But that’s not important. The important thing is, from the master’s indifferent expression, he knows that the people he mentioned are definitely not allies.

Given their current situation, if those coming are not friendly brothers, naturally they must be enemies standing on the opposite side.

Not only do they have to deal with the fierce attacks of the beasts, but they must also face the kind of enemies more terrifying than beasts. A glint of seriousness passed through Li Mu’s eyes.

Bai Chenyao’s gaze suddenly fell on Li Mu.

"Sir, what’s wrong?"

Bai Chenyao’s gaze turned cold and sharp. Noticing a shadow flashing outside the cave, he lowered his voice.

"The wolf pack is coming!"

Strong killing intent flashed in Li Mu’s eyes as he gripped his gun tightly.

"Sir!"

He suddenly caught sight of another lurking threat, and Li Mu’s voice was almost a whisper only he could hear.
