Endless Debt
Chapter 1495 - 61: Eradicating Evil Completely_3
"Everyone, calm down."
Palmer spoke, Ether spread, shining with pure brilliance, illuminating the dimly lit hold where rows of cells came into view. Behind the cold iron bars were Imperfects filled with fear.
The dagger arrived with the wind, swiftly cutting open the cell locks. The cell doors opened slowly, freedom was within reach, yet the Imperfects made no move. They huddled together, unsure of what Palmer had released them from before his arrival.
Palmer smelled a stench of blood and realized he seemed to have stepped on something sticky.
Palmer understood what the Imperfects were afraid of.
Looking down, a shattered corpse came into view, seemingly desecrated by beasts, completely chewed to pieces, beyond recognition. Even a professional like Palmer could not immediately identify the gender, identity, or age of the body.
But Palmer knew what had killed it, just like some employees skimming profits in a company, to the Night Race, an Imperfect was akin to a resource, a rebate to be taken.
Most likely, a leading Night Race member, famished beyond endurance, united with others, randomly chose an Imperfect, dragged him out and devoured him in full view of everyone...
The gale roared, rushing down the corridor, shattering all obstacles along the way until it burst out of the ship, opening a path to the outside world.
"I’m here to rescue you!"
Palmer shouted at everyone, "Go! You’re free now!"
At first, no one moved. After Palmer called out three or four times, a girl cautiously stepped out of her cell. She walked toward the outside, glancing back at Palmer, as if fearing he would regret his actions.
Gradually, her hesitant steps became more decisive until she broke into a determined sprint. The others, as if infected by her courage, began to stir, moving from cautious to fervent, jostling toward the outside.
"Slow down!" Palmer wearily controlled the scene, "Don’t push! Evacuate in an orderly manner!"
The Imperfects surprisingly obeyed Palmer’s words, attempting to suppress their desire to escape and fear, consciously slowing down their pace, deliberately avoiding Palmer, flowing like water past him.
Watching the leaving backs, Palmer suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of achievement.
Before this, Palmer had participated in numerous battles, but they were merely confrontations with formidable foes, not like now, witnessing the tangible results of his rescues.
This feeling was unexpectedly pleasant.
Palmer thought so, looking up, feeling the formidable Ether reactions emanating from the deck above.
While Palmer was rescuing the Imperfects inside the cabin, a more brutal blood battle was raging on the deck.
Bologue’s shouting seemed to carry Magic Power, awakening the Night Race’s battle spirit. Instead of feeling fear, they became doubly frenzied, swarming toward Bologue.
Seeing this, Bologue laughed heartily, feeling the intense heat from the Vengeful Saw Axe. He knew his plan had succeeded; through blood and slaughter, the Vengeful Saw Axe had awakened the murderous intent in all living things within range.
Bologue, like a gladiator on the battlefield, issued a challenge to everyone, leaving only himself as a target in their eyes.
This greatly protected the Imperfects inside the cargo ship and helped Bologue lure out the lurking Night Race; Bologue knew well the threat these Night Race posed, like cockroaches, needing to be exterminated completely.
Eradicate evil thoroughly!
The deck beneath bulged, cold metal claws breaking through barriers as several armed Bloodthirsty emerged, the Vengeful Saw Axe not only awakened the Night Race’s battle spirit but also attracted these lowly monstrous Bloodthirsty.
"Get off!"
Bologue cursed, Ether infiltrated the Bloodthirsty’s bodies, shredding their viscera and bones like a meat grinder. Soon, they became soft husks, under the foul skin only a mass of sticky, filthy blood remained.
At the same time, a Psychic Shock struck again, the opponent intensified the output of Secret Energy, the pain surging like waves, each wave stronger than the last, until Bologue found it almost unbearable.
Negative Power User?
Bologue suspiciously looked toward the source of the Ether, realizing only a Negative Power User could wield such power against him.
The bodies beneath twitched, blood breaking through their confines, swirling gracefully around Bologue’s body, condensing into crimson Scale Armor, adhering piece by piece to Bologue, transforming him into a red-armored Knight.
Bologue was about to pursue the Ether’s source and decapitate that Negative Power User when suddenly Thunder and flames mingled, bombarding Bologue’s body.
Several Night Race of the Illusion Creation School stood together, crafting extraordinary Elemental Power out of thin air, collaborating in their assault on Bologue.
The overlapping pain of the Psychic Shock and Thunder’s paralysis on his nerves made Bologue’s limbs feel stiff and sluggish. The blood at his feet froze, forming ice like vines that crept over Bologue’s legs, firmly freezing him in place.
Seeing Bologue restrained, the Night Race let out a cheering chorus, as if they were the protagonists of a tale, united to suppress the evil Bologue.
