Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1587 - 1629: Rumors
The next morning, after Mabel Quinn picked up her daughter from Jeremiah May’s place, she naturally thanked him over and over. Just as Jeremiah May was about to head out, he ran into Old Master May.
"Yesterday Mr. Kinston and his wife went to your room—what did you all talk about?" Old Master May asked.
Jeremiah May didn’t hide anything and roughly told him what had happened. After listening, Old Master May clicked his tongue in amazement. "So that little one really stops crying about the pain the moment you touch her? But once you’re not touching her, she hurts again?"
Jeremiah May nodded. "Uncle, do you know what kind of illness this actually is?"
"That I don’t know. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard of such an illness," Old Master May said. "But the world is vast and full of wonders; there will always be strange things that we’ve never known of before."
Hearing this, Jeremiah May said nothing more and got into the car to head to school.
Old Master May, however, had a faint glimmer flash in his eyes. Although he had never heard of such an illness, he had indeed heard of the curse on the Kinston Family.
It’s said that the people of the Kinston Family are a clan of deep devotion—once they marry, they never abandon their spouse. But if someone from the Kinston Family never marries, then eight or nine times out of ten, they die young.
Some people with an agenda lined up the names of Kinston Family members throughout the generations that could be traced, and it did seem to be just like that. Could it be that the early deaths of the Kinston Family have some connection with this illness?
Still, Old Master May naturally wasn’t nosy enough to go ask Kyle Kinston about such things. After all, sometimes knowing too many secrets is not necessarily a good thing.
It’s just that... perhaps this nephew of his, in this lifetime, will be bound together with that little girl from the Kinston Family. He really couldn’t tell whether this was ultimately a blessing or a curse.

The moving arrangements were put on the schedule. After looking over the few houses Kyle Kinston had picked out, Mabel Quinn finally settled on a small villa about a kilometer away from the May residence.
Though the villa was small, it had everything one could need. The interior decoration was about seven or eight years old, but it had been fairly well maintained and didn’t look very dated.
Kyle Kinston had people come over to do some refurbishing, and then Mabel Quinn went to pick out some furniture she liked and swapped out the pieces in the house, making it look completely refreshed.
Thinking about how they would be moving over before long, Mabel Quinn went to see Amelia Foster once more.
Although at the May residence Mabel often ran into Amelia Foster by chance, the fact that Mabel had specially come over to the servants’ quarters to see her still left Amelia flustered.
"This... Mrs. Kinston, what brings you here?" Amelia Foster hurriedly brewed a cup of tea and handed it to Mabel Quinn.
The little one, who had been brought along hand-in-hand by Mabel, was very happy to see Amelia Foster and called out, "Godmother." Over these days, Mabel had been carefully teaching her daughter, so now whenever the girl saw Amelia, she would call her that.
Hearing the little one call her, Amelia Foster’s eyes couldn’t help turning red again. She couldn’t stop herself from scooping the girl up and kissing her, and the child warmly wrapped her arms around Amelia’s neck and kissed her back.
Mabel Quinn watched all this from the side with a gentle smile. She could clearly see that Amelia Foster truly cared for her daughter.
After Amelia Foster set the little one down, Clarence Xenos, standing nearby, stared longingly and then said to his mother, "Mom, can I take my little sister to play for a while?" These days, he could no longer spend the evenings in the room with his sister like before, keeping her company while she played, and Clarence Xenos missed his sister badly.
