Chapter 1546 - 1587: Can’t Wait

Although Atlas Shaw’s tone was tactful, the expression on his face revealed an attitude that clearly indicated he must go to the May Residence together.

Jeremiah May pressed his lips together, knowing he couldn’t refuse Atlas Shaw. Besides, he wanted to find out what exactly the little one’s background was.

At this moment, the woman, the parent of the three boys who were brought back by the police for scaring others with a dog, impatiently said, "Hey, hey, when are you going to deal with my case? This person injured my three kids, you can’t just let it go, even if a big celebrity is vouching for them, the police station can’t bend the law for personal connections."

Atlas Shaw seemed to only now notice a somewhat overweight middle-aged woman. A cold light flashed in his eyes as he recalled the video he’d seen earlier; this woman completely ignored the three boys using a dog to frighten Ivy.

Just as Jeremiah May was about to say something, Atlas Shaw gently pressed his shoulder and said, "Let me handle what’s happening here."

"No need, I can have the May family’s lawyer handle it," Jeremiah May said, preparing to take out his phone and call the May family’s lawyer, as this was his initial plan.

Atlas Shaw said, "I really can’t wait that long; having my agent handle it will be quicker. I’ll bail you out, and then I want to quickly go to your house to see the servant."

Because only by seeing that servant as soon as possible can he more clearly understand what had happened to Ivy. And now... he couldn’t wait any longer!

Jeremiah May eventually compromised, agreeing to let Atlas Shaw bail him out and help pay the bail. However, Jeremiah May still called his lawyer to handle the subsequent matters.

Atlas Shaw’s agent, Leo, stayed back at the police station, waiting for Jeremiah May’s lawyer to arrive. As for the middle-aged woman who was just shouting, the cold glare from Atlas Shaw had already made her uneasy. Upon hearing Jeremiah May’s identity, she was further shocked.

The May family was not only famous in F City, but also a renowned elite family nationwide, which of course the middle-aged woman had heard of.

In other words, she offended the May Family?! Realizing this, she began sweating all over and quickly told the police she wouldn’t press charges, willing to settle and even offer to compensate the May Family actively.

But at this point, Jeremiah May and Atlas Shaw were hardly paying attention to her anymore.

Atlas Shaw naturally picked up the little one and walked out of the police station. Jeremiah May slightly pursed his lips, his hand hanging at his side clenched slightly before following.

Usually, when facing adults, he didn’t feel like they were adults while he was just a minor.

But for some reason, this time facing Atlas Shaw made him feel like he was the child in front of an adult, a kind of disparity formed by age that made him feel uncomfortable.

And there was the natural intimacy between Atlas Shaw and the little one, almost as if the child instinctively trusted Atlas. Once in the car, the little one sat quietly in Atlas Shaw’s arms.

Jeremiah May just felt that between Atlas Shaw and the little one, there seemed to be a connection he couldn’t intrude upon, a feeling he didn’t quite like.
