Chapter 1534 - 1575: Village Affairs

"She’s by my side now, preparing to help me confirm this lead about Ivy," Kyle Kinston said, promptly handing the phone to Mabel Quinn, "It’s Atlas calling. He said he saw Ivy over in F City."

Mabel Quinn was astonished and quickly took the phone, "Atlas, did you really see Ivy? Are you sure Ivy is in F City?"

Atlas Shaw then relayed what happened in the shopping mall and the scenes captured by surveillance footage to Mabel Quinn and added, "I will send you the video clips from the surveillance soon, and you’ll see, I didn’t mistake her for someone else, it’s definitely Ivy."

Prior to departure, he had asked the local police station in the County Town to inquire about their daughter’s whereabouts from the villagers and gather any relevant information.

Mabel Quinn nodded repeatedly, hardly daring to believe they had a clue about their daughter’s whereabouts so soon. Just a day ago, she had feared she might never find her daughter in this lifetime.

The car drove into the village, which appeared simple yet impoverished. Like many poor villages, most young people had left to work in the cities, leaving mainly the elderly and children, with only a few young adults remaining in the village.

When the car stopped, Kyle Kinston assisted Mabel Quinn out of the vehicle. Several police officers in uniform approached them and said, "Mr. Kinston, we have completed the investigation you requested. However, your daughter is not in the village; she was taken away by a woman named Fang from another village."

"A woman from another village?" Mabel Quinn was startled and urgently asked, "What kind of person is she?" Could it be the woman holding Ivy in the video? In the video, the woman cradled Ivy, and Ivy seemed not to be resisting or struggling.
