Atlas Shaw leaned back against the seat of the car, rubbing his temples as he closed his eyes to rest, "Wake me up when we get to the tavern, I’m going to rest for a bit."

"Okay." His agent, Leo, responded, knowing full well how exhausted Atlas had been lately.

This TV series was based on a script written by Mabel Quinn, and now Mabel’s daughter had gone missing. Atlas wasn’t only helping to find Ivy, he was also making every effort to participate in all the promotional activities for the series.

In all these years of working together, Leo had never seen Atlas so involved in promotion, attending nearly every event without missing any.

Of course, Leo knew the reason because Atlas had once said, "This is a TV series based on Mabel’s script, and I don’t want it to be tarnished. Right now, there’s not much I can do, but at least I hope to do my best here, leaving no regrets."

Moreover, since Atlas had announced his retirement from acting earlier, this series was essentially his last work before stepping away from the spotlight, drawing even more attention. At each promotional event, fans swarmed like tides, seeking autographs, photos, and bombarding him with journalists’ questions. Unlike before, Atlas cooperated fully, breaking his usual habit of walking away.

This naturally added to his burden, making him even more exhausted.

These days, Leo observed all this but could offer no assistance.

At times, he even felt that Atlas’s exhaustion was a form of self-punishment. During this period, Atlas needed sleeping pills to fall asleep.

More than once, Leo had seen Atlas looking at photos of Ivy, his eyes red-rimmed.

Leo understood that to Atlas, Ivy was not merely the daughter of the woman he loved; her presence perhaps gave him a deeper sense of life’s resonance.

After all, Atlas was there when Ivy was born, and throughout her growth, he had stood by her side like a father.

Leo looked at Atlas Shaw, who was resting with his eyes closed and a tinge of weariness on his brow, and couldn’t help but sigh.

It wasn’t until the car arrived at the tavern’s entrance that Leo woke him up, "Maybe you should rest more for the next couple of days, or have some fun here in F City. There’s an event at the mall the day after tomorrow; you don’t need to go. Usually, such promotions are for new actors, and your presence might actually lower your value."

"It’s okay," Atlas said, "Is it the day after tomorrow? Arrange it for me, I’ll go."

Leo could only agree, "Additionally, tonight there’s a gathering and dinner with some Television Station and online platform executives. The director plans to attend to chat with them. Do you plan to go?"

"I’ll go," Atlas replied. In the past, he would have dismissed such trivial dinners, but now, attending could potentially make these platforms pay more attention to the series, increasing the promotion effort.

"Alright, I’ll let the director know. You should also prepare shortly," said Leo.

Atlas responded.

That night’s dinner, Theodora May hadn’t expected her nephew would join. Rather than a dinner, it felt more like a star-studded event in F City.
