Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1430 - 1471: Gloom
Mabel Quinn only felt that right now Kyle Kinston’s whole state seemed a bit off. "Kyle, clear your head. Are you really planning to stain your own hands with blood? Whatever happened when you were nine, I don’t care. Just because Francine Howards said something, you’re going to let her get to you?"
Kyle’s body suddenly jolted. In those bloodthirsty phoenix eyes, a trace of clarity finally appeared, and that crazed aura on him seemed to be slowly dissipating bit by bit.
He looked at his own hand still clamped around Francine Howards’s neck and abruptly realized that just now he had actually dared, because of Francine’s words, to want to kill her.
What she’d said had touched on those forbidden things he’d always wanted to hide. Now he had finally, with great difficulty, managed to be with Mabel again—how could he allow Francine Howards to destroy his happiness?!
In that moment, the killing intent surging up in his heart completely crushed his reason, and all he could think about was getting rid of her.
"Come on, loosen your fingers. There’s no need to carry a life on your back for someone like her," Mabel said. After she pried Kyle Kinston’s fingers away from Francine Howards’s neck, she finally let out a breath.
But now, it was Francine instead who went for broke, like a shattered jar smashed all the way. "Heh, Mabel Quinn, you make it sound so noble. What do you mean you ’don’t have to care’? You think Kyle Kinston’s hands are that clean? His hands have long since been stained with a life. Back when he was nine, he already killed someone!"
Mabel clearly felt that after Francine said this, the hand she was holding suddenly twitched, and the temperature of his palm was rapidly turning ice-cold.
So, was what Francine said true? Mabel pressed her lips together and said to the two Bodyguards, "You two wait outside first. Don’t let anyone come over here."
The two Bodyguards had also been thrown off by what they’d just heard and were at a loss. Now that they heard Mabel say this, it was naturally exactly what they wanted. They immediately walked toward the entrance.
Francine Howards finally got her freedom back and said with a face full of sarcasm, "What, you don’t want anyone else to hear? Mabel Quinn, how much do you really think you know about this man? He’s fundamentally a killer. And you still plan to love him?"
"Whether I love Kyle or not, what does that have to do with you? Just because you say he killed someone, I’m supposed to believe he killed someone?" Mabel snorted coldly, but her hand was still tightly gripping Kyle Kinston’s.
Right now, he didn’t move at all, his head lowered, his expression hidden, and that made her all the more worried about him.
"Do you know how he killed that person? With a Dagger. He sliced that person, stroke by stroke. Even when that person fell to the ground, writhing in pain, screaming and begging for mercy, he kept on cutting. That whole big pool of blood on the floor was all that person’s blood, and he could stay completely indifferent, just watching until that person died. Don’t you think a man like that is a demon?" Francine said, her eyes boring straight into Mabel Quinn’s, just wanting to see that doubt and terror on Mabel’s face, the look of collapsing. But to her disappointment, Mabel’s expression was still exactly the same as before, with no change at all.
"Is that all you wanted to say?" Mabel suddenly chuckled softly, the smile like a mockery of Francine Howards’s scheming gone to waste. "Francine Howards, you can go right ahead and spread all this. See if anyone will believe a nine-year-old child could do all that. And what’s more, that he just so happened to be seen by an even younger child, and those two kids still managed to go undiscovered for so many years. Do you think you’re telling a joke?"
