Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1367 - 1406: The Bracelet from Back Then
After dinner, Edward Quinn enthusiastically volunteered to do homework with his granddaughter, something he had never done before.
But now he wanted to be involved in everything related to his granddaughter, as if he wanted to compensate for not being able to accompany Mabel Quinn during her childhood by making it up to his granddaughter.
Watching her father treat her daughter’s homework like an important task to be completed, Mabel Quinn couldn’t help but smile.
If others knew the chairman of the Quinn Group took a kindergartener’s homework this seriously, even considering involving the entire secretarial team, they might drop their jaws.
But... as long as her father had no regrets, it was fine.
Mabel Quinn naturally understood her father’s feelings. While Edward Quinn helped Katherine Quinn with her homework, Mabel Quinn strolled around the Quinn estate with Kyle Kinston.
Mabel Quinn had never properly toured the Quinn estate before; she always came in a rush until she reunited with Edward and then truly explored the Quinn estate.
Although the Quinn estate’s heritage was not as deep as that of the Kinston Family, and the house was not as large as the Kinston mansion—in Falling City, many areas surrounding the Kinston estate, including the mountain behind it, were part of the Kinston Family’s domain.
Yet, the Quinn estate always felt different to Mabel Quinn. She remembered when she was very young, her adoptive father held her hand to visit the Quinn Family and meet Granny Taylor. As they left, her adoptive father turned to her and said, "Mabel, do you like this house? Would you want to live here instead of our smaller home?"
"No, I love our home!" she said naively and brightly back then.
Her adoptive father smiled, "I might have wronged you, Mabel, but when you grow up, I’ll let you decide."
She didn’t understand her adoptive father’s words at the time, but now she somewhat comprehended. He probably planned to let her choose when she turned 18 whether to continue being Mabel Quinn, a daughter from a branch of the family, or to become the eldest daughter of the main Quinn Family.
But who could have imagined that an accident would claim her adoptive father’s life when she was 11, and her true identity remained unclear until nearly the age of 30.
Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston walked through the Quinn estate and unknowingly arrived in front of the room that Edward had once arranged as a memorial hall for Mabel.
Nowadays, the memorial hall had been completely redecorated and turned into Mabel Quinn’s storage room, where her past belongings were kept.
"Speaking of which, the last time I was organizing here, I came across something that belongs to you," Mabel said, pulling Kyle into the room.
"Something of mine?" Kyle was taken aback.
The two entered the room, Mabel turned on the light, walked to a cabinet, opened a drawer, and took out a small box.
Inside the box were two couple bracelets. Kyle’s pupils immediately widened. These bracelets... were the ones she had personally woven for him. After regaining his memory, he had searched for a long time at the Kinston estate but never found them.
"How did these bracelets end up here..." he asked in surprise.
"Alice and Brother Yu gathered all my belongings from the Kinston estate and handed them over to my father. These bracelets must have been included during that time," she said, her fingers gently caressing the bracelets with infinite nostalgia.
