Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 3055: Acknowledgment

The massive seated figure who had been watching the entire exchange in silence finally spoke.

"That’s enough."

Celestial Cloud stopped instantly. Emery turned toward the throne and offered a respectful bow, waiting for his next words.

The Stellar Beast Emperor regarded him for a long moment, offering a brief, measured acknowledgment of the improvement he had displayed before shifting the conversation.

"You met with the Tortoise Emperor. Tell me what happened."

Emery gave a brief account of the gathering—the White Sage’s arrival, the mediation, and everything that had followed. The Beast Emperor listened with obvious interest before speaking.

"That turtle usually stays in seclusion. It’s a wonder he gets involved in these things."

The Beast Emperor then revealed that he had indeed received a message from Ronan. The Serpent Supreme had eloquently steered the matter involving the Blood Sea and the Blazing Phoenix into his agenda. Knowing that Emery and the Zodiac faction were involved in the matter, the Beast Emperor had offered his support. This involvement was the reason the meeting had become so intense in the first place.

Emery understood.

He then mentioned the mysterious fortune reading.

"A calamity of change," Emery repeated the words as closely as he could remember. "He said it would come sooner than expected."

The Beast Emperor fell silent for a moment.

"That turtle has been talking about calamity for a very long... long time..."

Emery considered asking further, but ultimately decided against it. Honestly, he had heard too many mentions of calamity lately. For all he knew, the Scourge itself was the calamity. He had no intention of pushing the matter further.

Instead, Emery decided to ask something more important.

He asked about the vision—the Wolf God, the Star-Devouring Beast, and everything that had surfaced during his breakthrough. His master was a Stellar Beast cultivator himself. If anyone could make sense of what Emery had experienced, it would be him.

For a long moment, the Beast Emperor said nothing.

Then Emery noticed a subtle change in his master’s gaze.

Before he could react, he suddenly felt a consciousness enter his mind.

A savage presence erupted within him.

It was like a primordial beast awakening from a deep slumber, its overwhelming aura shaking Emery’s entire body and stirring the dormant power of the Star-Devouring Beast within him. For a brief moment, Emery felt as if something ancient and terrifying was observing him from within the depths of his own consciousness.

Then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, everything dissipated.

The oppressive presence vanished, leaving no trace behind, as though nothing had happened.

The Beast Emperor finally spoke.

"The wolf gene within you is strong... but still not strong enough to stand against the Star-Devouring Beast."

Emery blinked.

The Beast Emperor’s voice remained calm. "It simply means you haven’t yet reached the point where you can fully control the Stellar Beast."

Emery felt a wave of relief at the answer.

At least it wasn’t something he needed to worry about yet.

The Beast Emperor sent something toward him.

It was a pouch.

Emery caught it and, the moment he sensed what was inside, his eyes widened in surprise. He quickly opened it and froze.

Inside were ten beast cores, each one different in size, shape, and color. Their surfaces radiated dense, pure energy, and even through the pouch, Emery could feel the immense power contained within them.

He recognized them immediately.

Top-grade beast cores.

The last time his master had given him some, it had been four. This time, there were ten.

Not only were these cores incredibly expensive, but they were also extremely rare. In the last five years, he had managed to acquire only six from the market, despite having both Klea and Rosia constantly keeping an eye out for them.

And now, his master had casually handed him ten.

The Beast Emperor spoke.

"Now that your bloodline has been upgraded, you can begin the third stage of the Star Beast Refinement Art."

Emery couldn’t help but feel elated.

Indeed, he had been unable to continue cultivating the technique because his bloodline had reached its previous limit.

Now, that limitation was gone.

He could finally consume top-grade beast cores once again and continue pushing his physical body toward the next level.

The Beast Emperor’s expression remained calm as he added,

"I look forward to the day you can fully integrate with your Stellar Beast."

Emery’s eyes narrowed slightly.

For the briefest moment, a faint smile appeared on the Beast Emperor’s usually stern face as he said those words.

With the Stellar Beast Emperor’s guidance and the continued improvement of the Supreme Gene Project, Emery couldn’t help but feel hopeful that he could eventually achieve the Rank 9 limit.

More importantly, there was the Wolf God’s Ancestral Rite, which would take place in thirty years. That would become his ultimate milestone—a chance to reach the level his master had spoken of and fully integrate with his Stellar Beast.

After expressing his gratitude, Emery exited the Cosmic Palace and returned to Neo Terra.

Emery first took the time to sort through the remaining serums and decide how they would be distributed.

He had personally used twenty of them. Kayelin had used three during the process of modifying the serum through repeated testing, and another three had been used to enhance Morgana’s bloodline, bringing the total to twenty-six.

That left twenty-four serums.

Emery had no intention of keeping them all for himself.

He first set aside three for Kayelin. She had played an important role in supporting his research, and the enhanced serum would significantly strengthen her bloodline.

Two serums were prepared for Feyanor, the deer half-blood, as a reward for helping out at the academy all these years.

One was prepared for Chief Bewolf.

Then he reserved one for Kazrik, the Insectoid Grand Magus who had been assisting Neo Terra.

Finally, he set aside three more for the three half-blood Grand Magus who had been helping guard Terra City—Fantasme and the two Dragon half-bloods.

They were all meant as a token of his gratitude for their continued assistance.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t give one to his daughter.

Shinta had not yet reached the Grand Magus realm, and this upgraded version of the serum was simply too potent for her current level. Forcing the enhancement now could do more harm than good. The same was true for the other half-blood wolves in his pack.

The serum would not be useful for the hybrids either, so he carefully stored the remaining fourteen. He would have to decide how best to use them later.

After finishing the arrangements for the serums, Emery finally returned to his cultivation chamber.

Ten weeks.

That was all the time remaining before the upcoming Tartarus mission, and time was of the essence if he wanted to complete the True Clone.

Klea was already preparing the grand formations required for the process, calling upon two other formation masters to assist her. Even with their combined efforts, it would take another week or two to complete everything.

Those extra weeks made him wonder.

With the scaled skin given to him by Ronan and the high-grade beast cores he had just received from the Stellar Beast Emperor, did he have enough time to refine his body further?
