Chapter 946: Chapter 946:- Please become my wife

Laura’s Pov,

Laura thought that Aditya would return by evening. Even though, before leaving, he said that it might take him more than a few days to return.

But she had heard from others who had been inside the Trial that, on average, the trial lasts for 4 to 7 hours. This much time is enough for the challengers to reach the final two stages, if they can, that is.

She thought that with his power and skills, he would definitely stay more than 7 hours inside the trial.

Once it was dark outside, she kept waiting.

The more hours passed, the more nervous she felt.

The thought of going to the trial herself and asking the Elders about Aditya kept growing stronger and more frequent.

Meanwhile, she tried to cultivate, but her mind wasn’t calm at all.

When she tried to read, her thoughts kept drifting towards him. She couldn’t worry about him.

When the waitress brought her meals, she barely ate anything. She wasn’t in the mood to eat.

And then the second day came.

Laura became more restless. There were moments when she almost went out to look for him.

She was beginning to have more wild thoughts.

’What if he was ambushed on his way here?’ But then she shook her head. He had teleportation skills.

’What if he got killed inside the trial?’ Then she remembered that no one died inside the trial.

By the end of the third day, she was feeling weak because of not eating or sleeping.

"Just when will you return?" At this point, she no longer cared about meeting her other half. The only thing that she cared about was his return.

She wanted to see him.

’I want to see you’

Thinking of him, she couldn’t help but replay how he gently kissed her forehead before leaving for the Trial.

Knock! Knock!!!

The moment she heard those, her first thought was to run to the door and open it. But then she calmed herself. She had done this so many times in the last three days. Every time, it was the waitress who would come with food or other essential items.

With a look of disappointment, she opened the door, expecting to see the face of the waitress whom she didn’t even wanna see at the moment.

But the moment she opened the door and saw his face, she froze.

"Ad....Aditya!!!" Laura had no idea what kind of expression she had.

She quickly noticed his condition.

Torn clothes, dirty face, and an exhausted look.

But seeing that he was gently smiling at her, she couldn’t control herself any longer.

Tears welled up in her eyes before she threw herself in his arms without caring about the dried blood, dust, and grim on his face and body.

"Aditya....!!!"

Aditya wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her back. While hugging her, he stepped inside and then closed the door by pushing the wooden door with his leg.

He didn’t say anything. He let her hug him as much as she wanted.

Laura was all alone in this foreign place. In the Tunnel World, in her most vulnerable time, she had no one to rely on other than him. And this isn’t even the first time that he has helped her. Just almost a year ago, he stayed by her side and acted as her bodyguard, constantly protecting her.

Without him, these two days have been really exhausting. When he is around, he shoulders everything, and she doesn’t need to worry about anything.

But when she is not around, she is not herself anymore. She feels empty and lost.

There was no doubting herself about him anymore.

She loved him.

She needed him.

She didn’t think she could love any other man.

In between her silent sobs, he noticed how weak and fragile she had grown in the last three days. It was like her condition was deteriorating fast. Knowing that he was kind of responsible for this made him feel guilty.

While hugging her, he made her sit on the edge of the bed.

After around 5 minutes, the Goddess finally calmed down. Her eyes were red, still, and a bit swollen.

She had never cried like this till now.

Only because she felt extremely safe and protected around him did she show her vulnerable side to him. Otherwise, she never shed any tears in front of anyone. Not when she lost her adopted Grandfather.

"Have you calmed down?" He still held her in his arms with her face buried on his chest.

She did not reply. He took her silence as yes.

"What happened inside the Trial?" She noticed the injuries on his chest. Due to the healing pills, the injuries had mostly healed. But it would still take a day or two to heal completely.

From their half-healed state, she could tell how brutal his fights must have been.

"It’s a long story. For now, let me clean myself."

"Alright!" Hearing this, she moved away.

He stood up and began to undress. As he removed his upper wear and exposed his lean, muscular body, Laura felt slightly embarrassed. But her attention was quickly on the wounds on his body.

"You must have been through a lot." He just nodded his head.

"Is there any way I can help you relax?" Knowing that he was exhausted, she wanted to do something to help him.

He looked at her face and replied with a smirk. "Well, you can help me relax by coming to the shower with me."

Hearing this, she was startled and embarrassed. "I am not showering with you." In her mind, it was still a bit early for them to do this. But in her heart, she was entirely against the idea.

Aditya innocently looked at her and replied. "When did I say anything about showering?"

"I meant to say come to the shower with me and help me wash my back."

"You....!!!" Laura glared at him, but no words came out of her mouth.

’This guy is purposely teasing me.’ Even though she had no idea just how much, she missed these teasings from him.

"What? You don’t want to do it?" He put a look of great disappointment as if he had lost something significant.

"Someone just said something about wanting to help me relax. Now that person isn’t even willing to help me wash my back."

"I never said no." As soon as the words came out of her mouth and she saw the look of victory on his face, she immediately regretted saying those words. She knew that she had fallen into whatever he was planning.

It was a very small shower compared to the massive ones that they had in their Palaces. There was a bathtub in which Aditya was soaking.

A few minutes later, Laura shyly entered. She was still wearing her clothes.

This was the first time she was doing something like this for a man.

’This is so embarrassing.’ Her cheeks felt hot. It was like her face was on fire.

Aditya could see that her cheeks were red. This side of Laura was very refreshing. She always carries herself as a strong, independent woman of wisdom. Now, she was a shy maiden in front of her soon-to-be husband.

As she came near the bathtub, Aditya smirked before suddenly pulling her.

Ah....!!!

When she opened her eyes, she was sitting on his lap with his arms wrapped around her waist tightly enough to prevent her from escaping.

He playfully rested his chin on her right shoulder and asked with a smile. "Now wash my back."

"But why did you pull me?" Laura was angry. She was glaring at him to hide her embarrassment.

"I wanted to see your lovely face while you washed my back." The way he casually said these words with a serious face caught her off guard.

The Goddess then understood that he was only teasing her. She looked away while snorting.

Hmph!!!

"How can I wash your back from here?" She did not resist his touch. Rather, she felt very comfortable in his arms. But she wasn’t gonna admit it. Admitting it or showing any weakness would only give him opportunities to tease her.

Aditya suddenly lifted her and made her face him.

She now sat facing him on his lap.

This position was even more embarrassing.

"Now wash my back." He said with a grin. He tightened his grip around her waist, showing his intent not to let go of her until she did what she was told to do.

"But like this, I won’t be able to reach your entire back."

"Then come closer." He said with a straight face.

But her face was totally red.

Coming even closer would mean her breasts would press against his chest as she tried her best to clean his back.

"You Pervert! I am not doing that." This was just too embarrassing. She tried to get up, but his hold on her waist was stronger. He made sure to control his strength; otherwise, he might end up hurting her.

Laura kept struggling, but this shameless man kept pushing her closer the more she struggled.

At some point, their faces were just a few inches away from each other.

While messing around, her whole body was soaked in water. Her dress tightly hugged her curves.

She and he paused for a second while looking into each other’s eyes. He looked at her lips and looked at her eyes.

Understanding this, she closed her eyes and waited for her first kiss to come.

But more than 20 to 30 seconds passed, and nothing happened.

In confusion, she opened her eyes only to find him staring at her with a teasing grin.

"You Bastard!!!" She felt very angry.

’This guy is unbelievable. Teasing me in a situation like this.’ She knew the romantic atmosphere between them was now gone. She felt regretful as she did not know when such a situation would come again.

But Aditya seriously looked at her.

"Laura, I love you. Please become my wife." Without giving her a chance to respond, he took her lips.
