Doomsday Life Simulator System In A Zombie Apocalypse World Update Era
Chapter 462: The Universal Law Of Everlasting Light
The Elf World’s greatest disadvantage was the lack of elves who could walk far in the Light Bearer Path.
It was due to this that they couldn’t escape their inevitable end several years later.
After the Perpetual Darkness had existed for a decade in the Elf World, the advantage brought by their Magic Path powerhouses would disappear.
After all, at that time, Dark Monsters who could contend or even surpass Elas would start appearing.
Even with the recent fast progress of the elf race due to the threat and desperation caused by the Perpetual Darkness, Elas couldn’t reach World Class Mage a decade from now.
It wasn’t that Elas lacked talent, but it was due to a lack of time as well as resources. If not for the resources and knowledge that Zayne had provided, it wouldn’t be Elas’s turn to become a World Class Mage in his lifetime, as he wouldn’t live that long to reach it.
Aside from talent, resources and opportunity were equally important. Otherwise, if not for the train survival universe lacking those, Zayne would have already reached Divine rank or even Heaven rank in his Second Doomsday Life Simulation.
After all, at that time, even without Unparalleled Talent (Red), he still possessed a decent chance of attaining Heaven rank.
Like Elas, Zayne had also experienced the limit of the world they were in. Due to this, he could empathize with Elas.
After all, with Elas’s talent, becoming a World Class Mage would have been achievable.
After Zayne chatted with Elas for a few more hours, Jade merely stood by his side, listening quietly.
Since the time Zayne met up with Elas, not only had Jade never interjected once, but both Zayne and Jade hadn’t also revealed their appearance.
Despite this, Elas and even those Magic Council Elders had never pointed it out. After all, they were the weaker party, and if a powerhouse stronger than them didn’t want to reveal themselves, it wasn’t their turn to make a request.
Due to this, Elas and the Magic Council Elders didn’t know that both Zayne and Jade were humans. The only thing they were certain of was that Zayne and Jade couldn’t possibly be elves, or else they would have detected the affinity between similar racial bloodlines.
By the time that Zayne and Elas finished their conversation and Zayne and Jade left the Elf World, Elas still didn’t know what they looked like. He was only aware of Zayne’s name.
...
After returning to the Main World Terra via the spatial gate from the Elf World, both Zayne and Jade returned to the Eternal Darkness Island.
On the Eternal Darkness Island, Zayne and Jade returned to their home. Due to the magic formations and enchantments he added to his house, it was unaffected by the Perpetual Darkness’s corruption.
In the time that Zayne had spent with Elas, he had already asked Elas about everything Elas knew about the Perpetual Darkness.
Whether it was the Dark Monsters, the Light Bearers, or the countermeasures that the Elf World had made to combat it.
’From the looks of it, becoming a Light Bearer is paramount. For Terran Survivors, the Viral Evolution Path from the previous Monthly Apocalypse World Update would be insufficient to deal with the Perpetual Darkness’s corruption.’
’Due to a lack of powerful Light Bearers, Elas and the entire elf race had suffered greatly, despite magic being so versatile. It kind of makes sense, since countless worlds wouldn’t have suffered from the Perpetual Darkness if it was that easy to deal with.’
’It was to the point that this universe has germinated the Universal Law of Everlasting Light to counter the Perpetual Darkness. It’s quite similar to the Train Survival Universe’s method of creating the Universal Law of Train Conductor to deal with the invasion of the Wild Gods.’
’Although I can use the Boundary of Light and Darkness to deal with the Perpetual Darkness, it won’t be beneficial to me, especially when one of my goals of experiencing these Monthly Apocalypse World Update Themes is to explore different power systems.’
’No matter what, the Universal Law of Everlasting Light is a limited edition Universal Law and will predominantly exist within this Monthly Apocalypse World Update Theme.’
’The Light Bearer Path has the upper limit of Heaven rank due to the Universal Law of Everlasting Light being a high-grade Universal Law. In its area of expertise, it might not be as versatile as the Universal Law of Train Conductor, but it’s definitely not inferior in quality.’
’At least, in terms of purification and illumination against dark-attributed creatures, it’s the best Universal Law.’
Recalling his in-depth conversation with Elas, Zayne had already decided to step into the Light Bearer Path.
The only reason why he could deal with the Perpetual Darkness, aside from the versatility of his Boundary Supremacy, was due to his tremendous power rank.
With this in mind, Zayne decided to add the Light Bearer Path to his arsenal of power systems. After all, most hostile creatures were dark-attributed, so the Universal Law of Everlasting Light was greatly useful.
After Zayne and Jade returned, Jade spoke up, "I’ve noticed that our status as survivors of the Monthly Apocalypse World Update Era allows us to have multiple power systems, as long as they’re related to the Monthly Apocalypse World Update Theme."
"Aside from you, who have a talent that allows multiple power systems, other Terran Survivors don’t have such talent. Yet, they can possess the Virus Evolution Path and the Light Bearer Path at the same time."
"The two paths aren’t conflicting, but they aren’t greatly compatible either."
Zayne guessed, "It’s probably due to the World Rules. Moreover, unlike my talent, Terran Survivors and even you have disadvantages in using multiple power systems."
"If it’s two conflicting power systems, Terran Survivors can possess them, but they wouldn’t be able to use those two at the same time. In my case, even if it’s two conflicting power systems, I can make use of them and even potentially combine their powers."
