Domineering Mr. CEO and His Impudent Love
Chapter 2915 - 105: Removing the Bullet from Harrison Lucas
Chapter 2915: Chapter 105: Removing the Bullet from Harrison Lucas
The black bulletproof vest was stripped from Harrison Lucas’s body, exposing the deep depression connected to the left rear scapula under Ben Lucas’s gaze.
In the pitch-black cave, under the flickering flames, Ben Lucas saw the blood-stained hole on Harrison Lucas’s special forces combat uniform.
The bullet was not blocked by the vest; it was a sniper rifle, not a regular pistol, with penetration power enough to pierce a bulletproof vest.
Ben Lucas’s originally stern face turned even more grim. He placed the bulletproof vest aside and carefully supported Harrison Lucas’s shoulders to make her face away from him.
At this moment, Harrison Lucas had already fallen into a coma due to excessive blood loss.
Her head hung low, her face devoid of any color drooped, and the eyes that always gleamed when facing Ben Lucas were tightly shut.
In the entire cave, aside from the occasional crackling sparks.
Only Ben Lucas’s heavy breathing could be heard.
The man felt exceptionally heavy-hearted at the moment.
When he removed the bulletproof vest from Harrison Lucas, he knew that his ’little boyfriend’ had been lying outside earlier.
Claiming she was unharmed, saying it was all someone else’s blood was all blatant lies.
’She’ was not only injured, but severely so.
Ben Lucas had been busy rescuing others earlier and hadn’t thought much about it, but now clearly recalled how Harrison Lucas got shot.
She got shot all to save him.
The moment she leaped over, she shielded him from that deadly bullet.
Ben Lucas’s long, narrow eyes were dark and deep, and his gaze fell on the bullet hole in Harrison Lucas’s rear shoulder, knowing that even if resources were limited, he had to do something.
Even if the conditions were insufficient to remove the bullet, he had to stop the bleeding and disinfect the wound for Harrison Lucas.
If they’re lucky, the bullet was not deeply embedded and hadn’t lodged into the scapula, Ben Lucas might even be able to dislodge it using seasoned experience.
He had treated bullet wounds for countless comrades during various missions; even the bullet in his own leg was self-treated.
However, when the subject was changed to Harrison Lucas, Ben Lucas suddenly felt a mysterious heaviness.
His dark eyes reflected the firelight, and he lost track of time as the moments passed by seemingly frozen.
The motionless man appeared to finally make a firm decision, promptly drawing a tactical knife and placing it over the fire to sear.
After completing the disinfection, he turned back to look at Harrison Lucas’s slender back, his gaze paused fiercely, picking up the tactical knife to slice open the suspender vest of Harrison Lucas’s special forces combat uniform.
"Sss—" The sound of fabric tearing was especially prominent in the quiet cave.
Just as Ben Lucas slashed open the combat uniform, preparing to disinfect the wound while checking the bullet’s situation, his narrow black pupils contracted sharply.
For the first time, a bewildered emotion appeared in Ben Lucas’s eyes, he was stunned by the picture before him.
He had originally thought that cutting open Harrison Lucas’s combat uniform would reveal mangled flesh and blood from the bullet’s penetration.
However, now before him, was layer upon layer of vests.
The outermost white vest had wide shoulder straps, was very loose, in a typical men’s style.
But when he cut this white vest, underneath it was exposed a black tight-fitting vest.
That was still fine, but the shoulder straps of that vest were not in a men’s style; rather it was the slender type of straps on a suspender vest worn by young women.
