Divine Level Witch Doctor
Chapter 594 - 594: Announcing the Address
"Hey, that's not right! I was the first one to warn you, so how come you're not thanking me?" Hao Li protested.
Cheng Haoyu shot him a sideways glance and snorted, "Whose fault is it that you weren't as clear as Brother Zhao?"
"Hey, don't you feel bad saying that? Have you no conscience?" Hao Li was displeased and immediately started arguing with Cheng Haoyu.
"Well, here we go again." Zhao Yuan and Ying Ji exchanged wry smiles.
They were already used to this kind of situation. If those two, Cheng Haoyu and Hao Li, didn't get into a few fights a day, they'd feel uncomfortable all over. But strangely enough, even though they were always fighting, their bond wasn't weakened in the slightest. On the contrary, it only grew stronger through their arguments.
Perhaps those two both had a bit of a masochistic streak in them.
Normally, Zhao Yuan couldn't be bothered to deal with the two of them, but they were in a car right now. If he didn't stop them, they would keep arguing indefinitely, which was simply agonizing.
After stopping their argument, he pulled something out of his pocket and tossed it to Cheng Haoyu. "The thing I promised you. Catch!"
"What is it?" Cheng Haoyu caught it with his hand. When he opened his palm, he saw that what Zhao Yuan had tossed him was actually a Storage Ring.
"I made a few too many Storage Rings for Yue Tianchi, so I saved one for you."
Zhao Yuan was being honest, not hiding anything at all.
In the Cultivation Realm, it was an unwritten rule that when you helped with Artifact Creation, Alchemy, or Drawing Talismans, you would take a cut of the final product. The commission for many Artifact Makers, Pill Masters, and Talisman Masters was as high as seventy or eighty percent! Compared to them, Zhao Yuan was practically a saint.
In fact, besides the Storage Ring he gave to Cheng Haoyu, Zhao Yuan had kept two more for himself, just in case. But even so, because Zhao Yuan had produced such a large number of rings, Yue Tianchi didn't feel short-changed at all. On the contrary, he felt he'd gotten a huge bargain and considered Zhao Yuan a true paragon of the industry!
"Thanks, Brother Zhao!" Cheng Haoyu was grinning from ear to ear. He had always dreamed of having a Storage Ring, and today, his wish had finally come true.
Cheng Haoyu put the Storage Ring on his hand and then had a blast continuously opening and closing the Storage Ring Space, putting everything around him into it one by one.
Seeing him as excited as a little kid, Hao Li asked, "Fun, huh?"
"Heh heh, yeah, it's fun," Cheng Haoyu nodded, happy as a clam. If everyone hadn't stopped him, he probably would have taken off his clothes and put them into the Storage Ring Space too.
Hao Li shook his head and sighed. "It's just a Storage Ring. Look how excited you are. Back when I first got my Storage Ring, I was the picture of composure!"
"Yeah, right!" Cheng Haoyu rolled his eyes at him, not believing his bragging for a second. He then turned and asked Zhao Yuan, "Brother Zhao, how much for this Storage Ring? I'll transfer the money to you."
Zhao Yuan said, "Just pay what you think is fair. I don't know how much I should sell it for either."
Cheng Haoyu mentally calculated the price and ended up transferring twenty million to Zhao Yuan.
Twenty million was just the price of a supercar, and for that, he could buy a Storage Ring. It was an absolute steal. In terms of practicality, coolness factor, and so on, this Magical Artifact was countless times better than a supercar! Zhao Yuan was too kind; otherwise, a Storage Ring could sell for far more than that.
After dropping Hao Li and the other two off at Lakefront House, Zhao Yuan politely declined their enthusiastic invitation to stay. He had some important things he needed to hurry off and handle.
After leaving Lakefront House, Zhao Yuan immediately took out a pen and paper, activated his Tracking Technique, and found the new addresses the Ant Thieves had moved to. He then took out the Human Skin Cloak he had drawn earlier, put it on in the car, and changed his clothes. Then, he had the Bone Woman stop the car in a place with no security cameras.
After getting out of the car, Zhao Yuan gave the Bone Woman the address of his rental unit near the school and instructed her, "Go there and wait for me. Later, I'll help you repair your damaged bones."
"Yes," the Bone Woman replied and drove away.
Zhao Yuan, meanwhile, waited by the roadside for a bit, hailed a passing taxi, and went to the train station. He found an internet cafe nearby.
The train station had a lot of foot traffic, and the nearby internet cafes were mostly used by travelers waiting for their trains. Zhao Yuan chose a place like this specifically to confuse the Ant Thieves. Even if they traced him here, they would suspect that their target had already taken a train and fled.
Once at the internet cafe, after getting on a computer, Zhao Yuan didn't rush to log into the Cultivator Forum.
He was sure that ever since he had published the Ant Thieves' address last time, his account, named "Small Witch Meets Big Witch," had definitely been targeted by them.
The moment he logged into that account, the Ant Thieves would immediately launch an investigation. Although he would use a proxy, what if the other side had an expert hacker?
Zhao Yuan was still in a weakened state right now and couldn't face the Ant Thieves head-on.
So he planned to first write the content of the post he wanted to publish in a text file on the computer. That way, after logging into the Cultivator Forum, all he would need to do was copy and paste to publish it, thereby minimizing the chance of the Ant Thieves finding him.
Soon, the post content was ready. Just like before, Zhao Yuan first connected to a VPN proxy and only then opened the Cultivator Forum and logged into his "Small Witch Meets Big Witch" account.
The instant he logged in, Zhao Yuan saw countless message notifications.
After posting the new thread with the Ant Thieves' addresses, he clicked on the messages and browsed through them. He found that these private messages were either asking how he knew the Ant Thieves' locations or if he had any new ones. There were also a few that wanted to arrange a meeting with him to discuss important matters.
'Arrange a meeting? Don't tell me it's the Ant Thieves, trying to use this to find out my address and then send people to kill me?' Zhao Yuan sneered. He immediately logged out, closed the web page, then logged off the computer and left.
After leaving the internet cafe, he found a restroom in a nearby shopping mall, took off the Human Skin Cloak, changed back into his original clothes, and then left with a swagger.
Meanwhile, back on the Cultivator Forum, the new address thread Zhao Yuan had posted was causing an uproar.
With the previous incident as a precedent, this time, no one doubted the authenticity of the addresses. They all excitedly replied to the thread.
"HOLY SHIT, the Filth God is too fucking awesome! He actually found the new address where the Ant Thieves moved!"
"I don't bow to anyone but the Filth God!"
"My greatsword is thirsting for blood! LFG to farm the respawned Ant Thieves instance!"
"Why do you guys call 'Small Witch Meets Big Witch' the Filth God? There's nothing 'filthy' about the threads he posts!"
"The user above me doesn't get it, huh? 'Witch God' doesn't sound nearly as badass as 'Filth God,' right?"
In just a few minutes, the thread Zhao Yuan had posted already had hundreds of replies and was bumped to the top as a hot topic!
