Divine Beast Creator
Chapter 2712 - 2713: Unorthodox Ideas
The auxiliary form testing requires Nagna’s assistance. Feng Yuan doesn’t exactly have a bad relationship with Nagna, and actually, Xiao Ji is good friends with Nagna. However, given the current situation, Feng Yuan has no means to call her over.
Long Boduo could help bring her over, but Nagna’s mind is still immature. Even though the chances of a major battle erupting in the vicinity is low right now, Feng Yuan still needs to prepare for the possibility of the Imperial people going crazy.
To call Nagna over now, and for something so trivial, even Feng Yuan feels it’s inappropriate.
As for the other offensive attribute forms? Although Long Boduo can provide authorization for Ghost Series attacks, considering it’s like a youthful version of the Divine Beast Technique, Feng Yuan feels it’s more appropriate to use a different Ghost Series Divine Beast.
After all, apart from Death Series and a few other special attributes, there aren’t few Divine Beasts with other attributes.
Additionally, although Tamur is the Divine Beast of the era, it doesn’t have any specific attribute and is not a Time Attribute Divine Beast, whereas Veronia, although belonging to the Mystic Series, leans more towards Space. This makes it unable to authorize an attack attribute for Xiao Ji.
Tamur’s main attribute is none; should authorization be given, Feng Yuan doesn’t know what changes might occur, and besides, it has already been authorized for defense form. As for Veronia?
Its inherent attribute belongs to the Mystic Series, but its offensive ultimate move is in the Space Series. Feng Yuan doesn’t understand what it would authorize, and after considering it, he is reluctant to try.
After all, Xiao Ji doesn’t lack those attack methods; at most, another complete youthful version of Life Blessing would be sufficient.
"That’s about it for now. Shall we go get something to eat?"
Thinking this, Feng Yuan realized there’s nothing much to do with that Special Spirit Beast Decoration right now. Looking at Long Boduo, Feng Yuan invited the latter, hesitatingly Long Boduo said
"Alright, anyway, there’s nothing much for us to do, though here..."
Long Boduo wasn’t unaware of the place Li Mountain Village, and in its view, there’s indeed nothing fun here. After all, Li Mountain Village itself is just a kind of local archive; having fun is hardly easy.
"Hehe, weren’t we supposed to gather information earlier? So I came here. Now that that’s done, I was planning to move to other places, but with Agunas’s decisive battle, I thought it might be better to wait here for a couple more days."
"You think Agunas will finish the decisive battle in a few days?"
Long Boduo looked at Feng Yuan in surprise—it didn’t expect Feng Yuan to have such confidence in Agunas.
"Maybe, after all, haven’t the Imperial people fallen into Agunas’s rhythm? Extending the battle time isn’t beneficial for the United Army."
Feng Yuan stared blankly, not quite understanding Long Boduo’s meaning. Veronia, however, knew what Long Boduo was wondering about and chuckled, saying
"It seems it doesn’t quite grasp what Agunas has done, but I believe Little Crocodile and the others shouldn’t finish the fight that quickly, given they also have to restrain the Imperial people, preventing them from retaliating against the Main World during this period."
Even though Agunas overpowers The Imperial Timeline, they also have to consider the possibility of the Imperial people giving up defending just to focus on revenge. So, Veronia’s viewpoint is different from Feng Yuan’s, suggesting that Agunas might not finish the battle that soon.
"Seems that makes sense, but anyway, moving at this time doesn’t seem quite right now."
Thinking it over, Feng Yuan shook his head, indicating that his matters at Li Mountain Village were more or less completed. Originally, Feng Yuan planned to move to a more comfortable place to stay, but clearly, now isn’t the right time for that.
All the forces that could be mobilized around Cha Mu Town have already been used; even the City Defence Army that was posted at Li Mountain Village has been redeployed. At this time, if Feng Yuan moves elsewhere, he might only have wild survival as an option.
Unless he went to the safety zone set up in Cha Mu Town, but that place is merely for temporary living, and there’s likely nothing fun there.
"Are you worried about the Imperial people launching a surprise attack?"
Long Boduo didn’t know what Feng Yuan was thinking—it assumed Feng Yuan stayed here out of fear of an Imperial attack, therefore staying to guard.
After all, Long Boduo knew Feng Yuan’s strength; typically, the Imperial people’s attack would hardly break through Feng Yuan’s defense.
"Not really. With the temple here, it’s not easy for the Imperial people to launch a large-scale attack. Even if something unexpected happens, I believe they will have a way to handle it."
"It’s just that most places in Cha Mu Town are uninhabited now. Even if you want to have fun, for now it’s not possible."
With a helpless smile, Feng Yuan said—Cha Mu Town, which is mainly for tourism, and of course not to mention the other townships under Maomu City.
If it had been before Agunas launched the decisive battle, Feng Yuan might not have chosen to wait at Li Mountain Village. Now that the United Army is preparing for the decisive battle, Feng Yuan is naturally patiently waiting for the news of victory to come back.
Then, Feng Yuan believes there will be various celebrations around Maomu City, lively festivities which might alleviate the sorrowful mood of this period.
"How about taking a trip to the Netherworld? Over on our side, we’re working on some new stuff, although the idea is a bit..."
Long Boduo thought of something and asked. They were planning to create a tourist city in the Netherworld, and it wasn’t sure what those guys were thinking about. Although it was unique, entering and leaving was not that easy to solve.
Due to the uniqueness of the Netherworld, although many Spirit Beasts can master ultimate moves to enter and exit, they cannot pinpoint specific locations in the Netherworld for teleportation.
Meaning every time they enter the Netherworld, the appearing location isn’t fixed—only Netherworld Divine Beasts like Long Boduo can accurately open portals to specific areas.
Surely they can’t have Netherworld Divine Beasts standing at the gates to welcome guests? That would be hardly fitting, but if they don’t do so, there arises the issue that because of the randomness in location, reaching their tour cities in the Netherworld isn’t that easy.
After all, given the vastness of the Netherworld, they certainly can’t place signposts everywhere—when Feng Yuan would enter, he might not even be able to find the direction of the city for some time.
"Could it be you guys in the Netherworld Divine Beasts have set up a gold sink in the Netherworld?"
Seeing Long Boduo hesitate to speak, Feng Yuan couldn’t help but speculate, rolling his eyes, Long Boduo, not very pleased, said
"How could that be? We have no use for human currency. However, they indeed built a tourist city in the Netherworld, just that..."
"A tourist city? Did you solve the transportation issue? To avoid Netherworld souls running amok, there should be no way to set up a permanent passage?"
Upon hearing Long Boduo’s words, Feng Yuan looked at it strangely—he wasn’t clueless about the Netherworld’s situation. Without permanent passages, how could anyone ordinarily find a city there? Bringing along a wandering spirit as a guide might suffice.
While there are Spirit Beasts that can accurately calibrate coordinates in the Netherworld, those creatures typically serve in roles similar to Long Boduo’s, guiding wandering spirits lingering in the Main World into the Netherworld.
As a result, there aren’t a lot of said Spirit Beasts in the hands of Beastmasters. It’s indispensable as they’re important both for the Netherworld and the Main World. Not to mention it’s unlikely for them to accompany Beastmasters en masse, and others wouldn’t dare meddle; otherwise, the Netherworld Divine Beasts would teach them a lesson.
"Exactly, which is why, currently, that place isn’t much different from other cities."
With a helpless chuckle, Long Boduo didn’t know how to describe its companions—seeing the tourism in the Main World being fun, they wanted to bring it to the Netherworld without even considering its appropriateness.
"If it were a gold sink, at least there’d be motivation to visit; if it’s a tourist city...service starting off with downgrades."
Feng Yuan shook his head in amusement, unable to evaluate what those Netherworld Divine Beasts were doing—he does feel their thinking is somewhat...naive?
Creating tourist cities in the unique Netherworld is no easy feat, even if successful, the effect would be remarkable due to the region’s distinctiveness.
However, just entering and exiting poses a major challenge, not even accounting for the myriad trivial issues needing handling.
If it were humans, they might persist for profit or specific objectives; with Divine Beasts, on the other hand...
Feng Yuan truly doesn’t believe they’d have that persistence. At least among the Divine Beasts he knows, none are fit for such a job.
