Anoteros played with his pregnant wife for a little while in an open field of Natucor. She confirmed to him that Natucor retained its own gateway, meaning that Eltysia currently had an official entrance now, as the gateways the various sects used to get in were self-made entries.
Otherwise, Eltysia had no proper entrance, only a spot where it was closer to the main world… But this has changed today. Though one would have to somehow leave the floating island that was Natucor to explore the rest of the realm if they were to get in. Natucor had retained all of its characteristics. It included the fact that falling into the blue void around it would just teleport one high into the sky and allow them to float until they reached the ground, but that wasn’t something most people would be able to deduce.
Anyway, according to his wife, she had let Yen’mila keep her authority over Natucor to some extent, so he would have his maid bring the gateway to Natucor into his residence, where it would be safe.
It was to be said that Natucor’s absorption had drastically increased the overall size of Eltysia. Getting from the Lodestone Edrick had set up to Natucor could take perhaps a week of travel, and that was as the crow flies, ignoring terrain and other obstacles.
Eltysia had expanded further beyond where Naturcar had appeared, though. For now, it was only plains and forests, which was a bit disappointing to Edrick as he had been hoping for new biomes, but it was nonetheless very good as it meant that there was now much more space for the intelligent species to settle in.
Forests could become homes to Underwoods, and the plains could have villages, temples, and settlements upon them. It was especially good since all of the intelligent species were at peace because their beloved deities had demanded it of them.
In the past, when Underblood Elves and Baumsaftgars had cohabited, they had been in conflict whenever they ran into each other. Back then, Eltysia hadn’t intervened as she was trying to let them act according to their nature, but Anoteros was running the show now, and he needed his precious workforce to get along and not get in the way of each other.
The absorption of Natucor had only made the realm larger. It hadn’t brought any influx of creatures and beings. It seemed like that was unique to when Eltysia would ‘give birth’.
He eventually let Eltysia familiarise herself with the sub-realm she now housed, and Edrick instead went to find Crimonia…
Originally, he had planned to keep Crimonia in reserve as a warrior, all the while waiting for Eltysia to produce more Blutgars, but it seems like the nature of a Blutgar isn’t as simple as he had first imagined.
The recently created Blutgar was more akin to a beefed-up Underwood Elf than anything, which told Edrick that the true nature of a Blutgar was the melding of Eltysia’s original creations, and that any Blutgar that was manifested, instead of being the same combination as Crimonia, would be entirely random.
Crimonia had been created with intent, but the way Eltysia manifested new life was entirely based on chance, and thus, all future Blutgars would be entirely unique. They would be made from random mixtures, so even if a similar one to Crimonia was created, it would certainly be unique nonetheless and would surely have different skills and talents than her.
As such, the scion decided that he would need to take matters into his own hands.
Eltysia was doing a great job, but the lottery of Blutgars was simply not convenient. So Crimonia would have to bear offspring as well.
In essence, his ‘True Champion Of Eltysia’ bloodline and technique allowed him to replicate the bodily make-up of any Blutgar. If he wanted to be just like the new one, he would simply need to control the dosage of Underwood Elf and Baumsaftgar when he transformed.
He was familiar with how to be exactly like Crimonia since he had originally assumed that she was what a Blutgar should be.
Thus, if he transformed and focused properly at the moment of impregnation, he could guarantee that the offspring they would have together would be cut from the same cloth as their mother, with a healthy dose of their father’s superior bloodline.
“Crimonia, I’ll be needing many soldiers in the future, and it turns out that I’ll be needing your assistance to ensure that my future elite is composed of the kind of warriors I envision”
Other kinds of Blutgar would definitely have their place, but unless a Blutgar could somehow be made from several Baumsaftgar at once to create an utter meathead, he doubted there was any other combination that could be as strong as Crimonia, especially since she was special.
She wasn’t just a mixture. Eltysia had directly intervened in the process of her creation, which was probably why Crimonia’s control over ambient energy was so strong, or why she could transform into a monstrous version of herself.
She had set a precedent that the future Blutgars would have to abide by, but unless they were born special or exceptional, they stood no chance of ever reaching her level…
If Edrick had to put his thoughts on the matter simply… Then, in his eyes, Crimonia was akin to Adam and Eve, the first, most perfect humans directly handcrafted by God.
Meanwhile, the future Blutgars would be the humans countless centuries after Adam and Eve were long gone. They were humans just like the first two, but undoubtedly different. They weren’t hand-built by God.
It was a bit of an over-the-top way of explaining it, but Edrick felt that it would get the point across–To anyone who actually knew this story, that is. He doubted anyone from this world would understand the reference.
In any case, Crimonia was the key for Anoteros to gain access to a small army of Blutgars. This army would also technically be his descendants, but it wasn’t like he was opposed to using his own offspring as footsoldiers.
The only difference between Allins he had with his wives and Allins he had with his maids was that the maids wouldn’t object to anything he would want from the result of their union.
His wives… They had every right to have a say, and considering how doting Fanqia was, it was clear that this was a subject his wives wouldn’t hesitate to put their foot down about. Which was good.
Well, if the maids begged, he might agree not to be too harsh. Edrick might not feel much paternal drive, but he was smart enough to understand that Allins were of the utmost importance on an instinctual level for a lot of people.
Besides, as many people would state, Anoteros was ‘oddly’ benevolent at times.
Regardless… It was time to get to baby-making with Crimonia.
“With some luck, you’ll bless me with some Simis… Tri-Simis, or perhaps even more? I bet you can welcome a lot in here…”
“I’ll do my best, Master!”
