" Do you think the demons will heed your warning my lord?" Suzie asked,

" They’re demons, if anything they’re more likely to cause problems for us now just to spite me." Adrian answered.

" Then why did you give them that warning if I may ask." Suzie asked.

" Why my lord does anything shouldn’t be yours to question lady Suzie, with all die respect." Said Naija coming from behind.

" You’ve decided to crawl out of your dungeon Naija and the first thing you do is question my loyalty, do you seek to die?" Suzie threatened.

" Forgive me lady Suzie but hearing you question my God agitated me, I meant no disrespect."

She passed by Suzie and knelt in front of Adrian in a praying position with her rosary clasped in her hands.

" My lord, forgive me for abandoning the duty you’ve assigned an unworthy one such as myself.

But hearing there were fools who dare to go against you I could sit back no longer, I’ve been holding back my level.

I believe it’s time I break through but that will take a long time my lord, forgive me for my incompetence."

’ I’ve forgotten how talented she was, so she needs somebody else to look after the library but in all honesty that is not necessary.

I’ve only assigned her that task because..she’s too much.’ Adrian couldn’t handle the constant praises from her.

" Do what you must." He dismissed her, Naija did not linger and left to isolate herself and prepare to break through to level 8.

" What of you Suzie, how long before you can break through?" Adrian asked.

" Anytime my lord but if I do, who will take care of you? How can I abandon my duty?" She responded.

" Do you think I need a babysitter? That I cannot take care if myself? Do you think so little of me Suzie?"

Suzie immediately went on one knee hitting the hard castle floor with a thud so hard the entire castle shook.

" I wouldn’t dare my lord but looking after you is my purpose, without it..." She didn’t finish her sentence.

John sighed and knelt besides her, normally he wouldn’t do this because Adrian was a chill guy.

However he could feel it, as a werewolf he could tell that something has changed inside Adrian.

He was more volatile to the point even he feared him now. " Boss, forgive Suzie, she meant well."

Annie touched Adrian’s shoulder, " Calm down, don’t let him get inside your head." She whispered in his ear.

Adrian took a deep breath, " Forgive me, it seems I’m not in control of my own emotions as much as I thought I was.

You’re free to seclude yourself, I can take care of myself, a war is on the way, I can’t have you be weak.

Before that, send my command to the rest of the pack, those not in shift should go hunting as much as they can.

The pack has been stagnant for too long, reach new levels soon or else."

Suzie nodded, Adrian could’ve sent that through pack call but his self appointed advisers claimed it was not authoritative enough.

That a king should pass his command through his subordinates and not interact with every subordinate himself.

Adrian personally thought it was a stupid waste of time but even Annie agreed with them so he went along.

Now, unless it’s very urgent he wouldn’t bother using pack call to contact the entire pack at once.

" What will do in the meantime?" Annie asked him when they were finally alone in their room.

" Hunt, I need to reach level 9 soon, my strength is too low right now, I need the hearts of Demigods."

" Only you would call yourself weak while planning to hunt down Demigods but if that’s you plan, I better play my part as well."

Adrian didn’t argue, he would prefer to keep her out of battle but he knew better than anybody that was impossible.

" Should we hunt together?" He asked.

" No, you would just kill everything for me, I want to hunt my own prey this time, not be pampered by you."

He nodded, " I leave tomorrow, I’m not certain when I’ll see you again."

She nodded, " As long as you come back, that will be all I could ask of you." She rested her head on his chest.

The night went by, the following morning before the rise of the sun, Adrian left the pack unseen by most.

Finding Demigod Gadra was not easy, he would have to search the far ends of all of Alguard.

Days went by, Adrian landed on a small deserted island close to one of the two human continents.

’ I felt an aura around here, it must be hidden deep in the sea.’ He was about to jump inside when a small boat appeared in the distance.

The boat came with thick fog that envoloped the entire island, " It’s been a while lady Chang’e I hope you’ve been well."

" Bold of you to come here child, do you think I won’t kill you just because I knew your grandmother?" Chang’e asked.

" Perhaps if your real body was here that might’ve been possible but that mere clone has no chance." Adrian responded.

" This mere clone you speak of is also a Demigod you know." Said Chang’e, the fog cleared and she appeared next to him.

" Still wouldn’t be enough, besides, even if you did manage to kill me which is very doubtful.

As much I hate to rely on her, would you be willing to handle the wrath of my mother?" Adrian asked threateningly.

Chang’e giggled, " You’ve really grown bolder and more arrogant than the last time we met.

I don’t know why you’re here child but I can assure you, the Organisation will not take kindly to your presence."

" I know, thank you for the warning but fear not, I’m merely here to hunt a little beast that wondered to these shores.

As for the Organisation, I doubt they’d want to kill me right now, their foolish ambitions are yet to accomplished after all."

" You seem to know a lot, too much knowledge isn’t always a good thing, be careful."

Adrian said nothing, the truth was he didn’t really know much at all but the talks of destiny and his cousin made him suspicious.

He believed the the Organisation and the high council might have somethings to benefit from his continued existence, at least for now.

" I wonder if the thing you’re hunting is the one that’s been bothering my sleep lately, if it is, make sure to kill it."

She jumped into her boat and fog engulfed her once more, when it cleared she was already gone.

Adrian sniffed the air and his head turned south, " There."
