But it was fine until he said it; the moment Fisher swallowed and pronounced that name with perfect accuracy, the rolling Scarlet Mist around them froze for an instant, then suddenly turned violently feral. That hoarse, shrill voice that could be neither male nor female, like some monster, now spoke flawless Japanese,

"You lied to me! Uh... you’re not... you’re not teacher! You are Chaos! Why, why are you so cruel, why do you wear teacher’s skin, his flesh, did you kill him, eat him... yes, it must be that... you definitely did that..."

The Kasaya on Fisher’s body abruptly tightened, and that Scarlet Mist, like a Dream, kept replaying the girl’s words. Yet because of its Devil-like voice, the repetition sounded like the victim’s last words being rebroadcast at the moment of death, making Fisher’s scalp crawl.

"Tangze!! Is that you?!"

Fisher’s pupils contracted as he shouted toward the endless Scarlet fog outside that huge chasm, but in the next instant, the clothes on his body rose up like ten thousand venomous snakes, surging over him and wrapping his body and mouth completely.

"Fisher! Mmph!"

Beside him, Alagina, seeing this, quickly raised her sword fingers; behind her, the Ice Prince Sword erupted with a terrifying chill. But the next second, the aura that should have transformed into the Ice Prince Sword behind her instead spewed out countless magma, which instantly burned through her outer garment, making her grunt in pain and clutch her back.

Yet the magma that escaped from behind her suddenly turned into a huge bird shrouded in Flames. The bird clamped Alagina’s collar in its beak and actually dragged her up, heading toward another place within the Sanctuary.

"Fisher!!"

Fisher grit his teeth and struggled to his feet, but at some point his clothes had turned into countless pale, tender hands, arm segments coiling like serpents, their long fingers stacking over one another—stroking, pinching, kneading—trapping him in a cage of corpses, unable to move.

A huge hand even clamped down directly over his face, pressing against his features, twisting the skin across his face as though trying to rip his face off.

"You liar! Liar! Liar! Take his face off!!"

"Enough!!"

Fisher’s features were crushed into distortion; unable to endure any longer, he directly forced the life chaos in his body to restore his form to his true body. In the next instant, his black-haired Nali Gentleman guise shattered, becoming the half-phantom, twisted appearance of a Chaos Species.

"Aaaahhh!!"

The instant Fisher’s true form appeared, all those arms and hands covering him shrieked in terror, leaping off him one after another and scattering into the Scarlet Mist, vanishing in an instant.

Fisher did not revert to his previous guise; instead he hastily grabbed the Fluid Sword at his side, which had just changed back from its Buddha Beads form, and rushed in the direction where the flame bird had carried off Alagina.

But by this moment, the Spirit Realm’s Sanctuary had already been completely transformed.

Within the dock, aside from that huge whale head formed from warships, everywhere were schools of fish and shrimp floating midair without any support. Looking closely, they weren’t fish at all, but shapes folded from some pale green banknotes, on which the human faces printed on the bills could be seen writhing. They grinned down at Fisher below, speaking in unison,

"Come, come, let us buy the United States! We are about to become the richest country in the world!"

"Hahaha, come on!"

"Hahahaga!"

Those money-fish laughed and laughed, then suddenly rammed headfirst into the wall beside them, instantly bursting into heaps of foam that fell to the floor, turning from white to the Scarlet of blood.

"Tsk..."

The bizarre, phantasmagoric scene made Fisher’s heartbeat race uncontrollably, because at this moment he could no longer tell where Alagina had been taken. The place had lost all recognizable markers; up and down, left and right had been thoroughly scrambled, as if he were trapped in a Dream.

Calm down, Fisher...

Fisher clenched the Fluid Sword in his hand and once more examined the state of the Azan Ross Avatar within himself, only to discover it had grown even more feeble, as though utterly powerless to resist under the influence of the Scarlet Mist’s strength.

Even Azan Ross’s Avatar cannot withstand the erosion of this Scarlet Mist, and this isn’t even the true body of the Spirit Realm Pollution. No wonder the Spirit Realm has been ravaged by this Pollution for several thousand years, with the Mother Goddess and so many God unable to get a grip on It.

This Pollution is absolutely intertwined with Tangze Asuka.

Gripping the Fluid Sword, he advanced through the now vast and boundless space corrupted by the Scarlet Mist. This was only the general direction in which Alagina had been taken; as for where she had been brought specifically, Fisher had no idea.

"Alagina!!"

"Alagina!"

As Fisher searched in midair, out of the corner of his eye he suddenly saw, beneath a patch of coral, a neat little procession of tiny square Chinese characters marching along. These seemed to be the very things that had just crawled out of Alagina’s head.

Fisher was unwilling to let any clue slip by, so he immediately flew down. His Non-human presence approaching did not provoke the slightest reaction from this group of characters, each only about the size of a finger joint; they simply kept their orderly marching, and as they walked they made sounds like some kind of small animal,
