Chapter 2691: Chapter 2695: Evidence

Just as he was speaking, Gu Qi’s call came through.

He connected the phone and pressed the speaker button.

"Young Master," Gu Qi reported respectfully, "I’ve obtained Huo Qihang and Huo Zhonglin’s hair and arranged for paternity tests to be conducted between Huo Qihang, Huo Zhongqi, and Huo Zhonglin. The paternity tests have been expedited; we’ll know the results by tomorrow morning."

"Moreover, I discovered something: Before Huo Qihang married Zang Jiayi, he had a lover. The woman was named Lo Yanwan, an orphan who grew up in an orphanage."

"Lo Yanwan was very intelligent and beautiful, a top student from a young age, received school scholarships, skipped grades, and was admitted into the nation’s best university, where she became classmates with Huo Qihang."

"Shortly after their enrollment, Huo Qihang fell for Lo Yanwan at first sight and began a passionate pursuit of Lo Yanwan."

"For a long time, Lo Yanwan ignored Huo Qihang’s advances. He persistently pursued her for over two years before winning her over to become her boyfriend."

"At the time, both Huo Qihang and Lo Yanwan were renowned figures in their school, and their romantic story was famous; many people knew about their relationship."

"We’ve found an informant who says that in school, Huo Qihang and Lo Yanwan were always inseparable and very much in love."

"However, after graduating from university, Huo Qihang accepted his family’s arrangement for a marriage alliance with the Zang Family, marrying Zang Jiayi. Consequently, he broke up with Lo Yanwan."

"After Huo Qihang and Lo Yanwan parted ways, Lo Yanwan disappeared as if from the face of the earth; no one saw her again."

"Currently, I have people searching for more information about Huo Qihang and Lo Yanwan. This is all the information I have at the moment, Young Master."

Gu Junzhu asked, "Did Huo Qihang have only Lo Yanwan as a girlfriend before marrying Zang Jiayi?"

"Correct," Gu Qi replied, "According to the informant, Lo Yanwan was exceptionally beautiful and the school’s belle. Huo Qihang was particularly obsessed with her and was ardently devoted. Aside from Lo Yanwan, he had no close female friends."

"The informant said that when they learned Huo Qihang was breaking up with Lo Yanwan to marry another woman, they were very surprised."

"Because ordinarily, Huo Qihang projected an image that he would only marry Lo Yanwan, showing strong infatuation. They said they couldn’t imagine anyone turning away from love, let alone Huo Qihang."

"After breaking up with Lo Yanwan, Huo Qihang quickly got engaged and married Zang Jiayi."

"After marrying Zang Jiayi, Huo Qihang had a very good relationship with her."

"Huo Qihang wasn’t lustful and never flirted outside. He particularly valued his reputation, kept himself clean, and feared any blemishes on his record."

"According to the current information and evidence I have, the women Huo Qihang was involved with were only Lo Yanwan and his current wife Zang Jiayi."

"Alright, I understand," Gu Junzhu said, "Send people to trace Lo Yanwan’s whereabouts, focusing on whether she was ever pregnant or had a child."

"As long as someone is normal, they will have relatives or friends. Even if she was an orphan, she should have someone she interacted closely with; find a way to locate that person."

After instructing Gu Qi for a few more minutes, Gu Junzhu hung up the phone.

The entire conversation between Gu Junzhu and Gu Qi was on speaker, and Ye Xingbei heard it all clearly.
