Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman
Chapter 629 35: Slaughtering Tribulation Realm Experts Like Chickens
Faintly visible within the immortal peach was its pit, which resembled a magnificent, golden Celestial Palace.
Beneath the immortal peach, four Tribulation Realm Cultivators were locked in a fierce battle.
A Female Cultivator and three old Cultivators were at the height of a blazing battle.
The woman looked to be in her late twenties, with pearly teeth, fair skin, and captivating almond-shaped eyes. Her enchanting figure was like a perfectly ripened peach.
This woman was, surprisingly, a rare Nine Tribulation Cultivator.
She channeled a Treasure Bead, which transformed into a ball of Zen Light. It was surrounded by a radiant, multicolored haze, with strange lights flashing like lightning as it attacked the three elders.
She was fighting one against three and had the old men completely on the defensive.
As for the three lavishly dressed elders, they all possessed Eight-Tribulation Cultivations. They joined forces, their three Dharma Aspects merging into a giant, crimson-purple Golem. With every move, it unleashed surging waves of Demon Flame, its crimson-purple light brightly illuminating the void.
The tyrannical aura projected by this thousand-zhang Golem was in no way inferior to Feng Yan's Demon Saint Illusion; it might even have been slightly superior.
But under the assault of the enchanting woman's sky-filling, strange lights, it could do nothing but defend. Its occasional counterattacks were easily neutralized.
Fang Cheng found information about both groups within Pan Lang's Spiritual Memory.
The three lavishly dressed elders were three great Loose Cultivators who practiced in seclusion at Beiming Heaven's Red Jade Cliff, known as the Three Elders of Longyuan.
Rumor had it they were Honored Guest Elders of the Beiming Immortal Race, specializing in handling the clan's dirty work.
Compared to the infamous Two Elders of Youxuan, these three were stronger and acted with more discretion and secrecy. They weren't widely known across the heavens, but in the circles of top-tier Cultivators, no one dared to underestimate them.
In their early years, the trio had explored the Lingkong Celestial Ruins and obtained a fragmented Spirit Immortal Celestial Book. After many years as Ascetic Cultivators at the Red Jade Cliff, they were now all experts who had passed the Eighth Celestial Tribulation.
When they joined forces, they feared no one in the world below the rank of Spirit Immortal.
It was rumored that the trio had pledged allegiance to Beiming Yan, the leader of the Beiming Immortal Race's Cangming Lineage. With the appearance of the Spirit Immortal's Abandoned Mansion, Beiming Yan had remained behind to guard the Taixu Gate and had not come himself.
Instead, he had sent these three trusted subordinates.
The enchanting woman was named Yao Shu, a peerless Great Demon from Yuelang Heaven whose true form was a Demon Fox. She had obtained a Spirit Immortal's heritage from within the Demon Race, and her talent was so extraordinary that she had once ranked in the top five of the Immortal Ascension List.
Later, for some unknown reason, she offended Yuelang Heaven's Spirit Immortal Incarnation and was forcefully suppressed and subjugated. She now served as a Guardian at the Incarnation's side.
Among the many Yuelang Heaven Cultivators who entered the Spirit Immortal's Abandoned Mansion, she and Ye Tuo were the leaders under the command of the Spirit Immortal Incarnation. Although Bao Yuan's Cultivation was profound, she wasn't cunning enough to be entrusted with great responsibility.
Fang Cheng's arrival caught the attention of both sides.
Yao Shu turned her head, her sparkling eyes sizing up Fang Cheng. Her stunning face was in no way inferior to Ascendant Feng Yan's—a peerless beauty capable of toppling nations.
The Three Elders of Longyuan showed hints of fear and vigilance but continued to focus all their efforts on defending against Yao Shu.
The might of Yao Shu's Treasure Bead was extraordinary. It contained a wisp of Immortal Spirit Qi that a typical Fifth-rank Magical Artifact lacked, reminding Fang Cheng of the Broken Ancient Bell he had obtained.
'It really is a Tier Six Fragmented Artifact. Otherwise, there's no way she could suppress those three to this extent,' Fang Cheng thought. Ignoring both parties, he drifted gracefully toward the immortal peach.
Just as he arrived above the immortal peach, a beam of sword light shot out, and the peach immediately fell.
Both groups simultaneously stopped fighting and attacked Fang Cheng in unison.
Fang Cheng roared with laughter as a battered ancient bell materialized out of thin air. It expanded rapidly, enveloping both him and the immortal peach.
The sky-filling strange lights and the thousand-zhang Golem, with its billowing Demon Flames, struck the Ancient Bell fiercely.
With a deafening CRACK, the void shuddered as if the very walls of heaven were splitting apart. The long, resonant toll of the bell echoed throughout the entire Immortal Mansion.
The inscriptions on the Ancient Bell flared brightly as the surrounding void collapsed. Lightning streaked and thunder roared while lights of every color flickered erratically. Countless specks of iridescent light scattered like dust in the wind.
Yao Shu and the Three Elders of Longyuan were struck by an irresistible, tyrannical aura and violently thrown back. Their souls trembled, and their vital energy and blood roiled within them.
The thousand-zhang Golem shattered with a BOOM under the bell's toll.
Yao Shu's Treasure Bead retracted its Zen Light and began to spin uncontrollably.
"A Sixth-rank Magical Artifact!" the four of them exclaimed in shock.
To think that another expert, aside from those from the Beiming Immortal Race and Yuelang Heaven, had entered the Immortal Mansion!
In the blink of an eye, Fang Cheng had already refined the mountain-sized immortal peach and put it away.
The Ancient Bell slowly shrank until he held it in his palm. He calmly gazed at the four of them and asked lightly, "Is there anything else?"
Yao Shu met his gaze, her cheeks flushing. Her almond-shaped eyes held a hint of grievance, as if silently blaming him for stealing her immortal peach.
She gave Fang Cheng a slight curtsy and asked in a soft voice, "May I ask for your name, fellow Daoist?"
Fang Cheng smiled. "My Daoist name is Pu Hua."
The Three Elders of Longyuan sized up Fang Cheng, then recognized him with a jolt. "So, it's you!"
The upper echelons of the Beiming Immortal Race already had complete files on both Fang Cheng and Feng Yan. After he single-handedly held off Beiming Yong, his strength was deemed so great that the clan treated him as a top-tier expert, comparable to the top five on the Immortal Ascension List.
The Three Elders of Longyuan had followed Beiming Yan, leader of the Cangming Lineage, into the Lingkong Celestial Ruins. One of their main objectives was to seize the Taixu Token from Feng Yan, so naturally, they were familiar with Fang Cheng.
Fang Cheng gave the three men a cool glance, then turned to Yao Shu and asked with a low laugh, "Daoist Yao Shu, would you be interested in joining me to eliminate these three? The number of immortal peaches in this forest is limited. Fewer rivals are always better than more."
"Of course," Yao Shu replied, giving him a captivating smile.
As if of one mind, they attacked in unison the moment the words left her mouth.
Hearing this, the Three Elders of Longyuan immediately activated their Dharma Aspects. The thousand-zhang Golem formed once more and threw a heavy punch toward each of them.
But a beam of sword light shot across the treetops of the peach forest, and the Golem, with its surging crimson-purple Demon Flames, was instantly split in two.
At the same time, Yao Shu activated her Treasure Bead. A brilliant radiance erupted, filled with thousands of layers of colorful flames. It surged forward like an overwhelming tidal wave, trapping the Three Elders of Longyuan within a boundless, strange light.
From the side, the scene looked like a vast, endless sea of light. Trapped inside was a crimson-purple sphere of light, sparks exploding from its surface as it tumbled about. The sight was so dazzling and overwhelming that it was impossible to look at directly.
By joining forces, the pair had trapped the Three Elders of Longyuan in an instant.
Yao Shu's charming eyes glanced sideways at Fang Cheng. "So, you have a grudge against the Beiming Immortal Race, fellow Daoist."
Fang Cheng remained noncommittal. He simply pointed at the crimson-purple sphere within the sea of light, and a strand of Taixu Sword Qi slashed into it. A miserable groan echoed out, and the power of the sphere diminished greatly.
A solemn look flashed in Yao Shu's eyes. 'That Sword Qi... I'm afraid even I would find it hard to block.'
Fang Cheng flicked out two more strands of Sword Qi in quick succession. After two agonized cries, the life force of the Three Elders of Longyuan was completely extinguished.
His sword light coiled out, "fishing" two storage bags from the sea of light, while the third was snatched up by Yao Shu.
Fang Cheng glanced at her, a sharp glint in his eyes. Yao Shu met his gaze with a gentle, alluring smile, her expression full of charm.
Fang Cheng wiped the restrictive seals from the two storage bags and found two immortal peaches inside one of them. He glanced at Yao Shu, only to see a look of disappointment on her face after she inspected the bag in her hand.
Clearly, all the immortal peaches picked by the Three Elders of Longyuan had ended up in Fang Cheng's hands.
"Daoist Yao Shu, I'll be taking my leave now."
Fang Cheng knew he couldn't defeat Yao Shu for the time being, so he simply drifted away to continue his search for other immortal peach trees.
There were a total of nine peach trees in this forest that glowed with radiant light, and he wondered how many immortal peaches were left.
Yao Shu watched Fang Cheng's retreating back, a similar feeling in her heart. She knew she was no match for him and had no choice but to reluctantly abandon her plan to take the immortal peaches.
'I've never performed Dual Cultivation with someone who has a Spiritual Mechanical Body... I wonder what that would feel like...'
A glimmer flickered in Yao Shu's eyes as a peculiar emotion stirred within her.
Just then, a Jade Pendant on her person flared with brilliant light. It shot out a beam that transformed mid-air into a tall, glittering golden figure.
Yao Shu gave the figure a charming smile and asked in a sweet voice, "Brother Ye, shouldn't you be at the Immortal Lake looking for lotus seeds? What brings you to me?"
The figure was none other than Ye Tuo of Yuelang Heaven. He wore a grave expression as he said, "Fellow Daoist, a Spiritual Mechanic Cultivator just entered the peach forest. If you encounter him, you must be extremely careful..."
