Not much different from the originally disdainful investigator, the rest of the people having come to Bright Stone City with the sole purpose of looking into the Star Shattering Sect and trying to gather as much information as possible about this newly emerged power in the Northern Central Region, also ended up with the same information. Making all of them realize that becoming a disciple of a hidden ancient sect like the Star Shattering Sect was indeed something good, far better than the fate they had ended up with as quiet investigators and at the same time also envoys if needed.

By the time they grouped up again to share what they had learnt about the Star Shattering Sect from the different younger disciples they had ended up chatting with while secretly gathering as much information as possible about the Star Shattering Sect, the group of investigators were already filled with a sense of awe and dread faced with the mountain range Bright Stone City was located next to. Fully aware that on the other side of the mist that shrouded said mountain range, the Star Shattering Sect existed.

But when they shared the different things, they shared the different things they had learnt and began constructing a full picture of the Star Shattering Sect- or at least the parts of the sect that was available to the younger disciples at the Core Formation Realm or below, the sense of awe and fear they felt towards the Star Shattering Sect reached a new peak.

The internal teleportation network that existed within the sect was hardly surprising, as pretty much every major power within the Southern Central Region had something like that within their territory to ensure that they would be able to rapidly respond to any potential attacks taking place on their borders even if it was expensive to maintain such teleportation networks.

The heavenly river that a disciple from one of the senior figures at the top of the sect had apparently created for no apparent reason that served as a dao field capable of aiding someone’s comprehension of the Dao of Water on the other hand, was of a completely different thing.

Although this group of investigators were only around the Soul Ascension Realm in terms of strength with just one person at the Earth Immortal Realm, also known as the Dao Seed Realm, in charge, they knew far more than their peers when it came to matters like this because of the fact that their main job was to investigate just this kind of thing.

For this reason, every one of them understood just how difficult it was to artificially create a dao field that could enhance someone’s comprehension of a specific dao.

And to do that for no apparent reason? They didn’t believe it in the slightest bit and chucked it up to these younger disciples just not knowing about the grander vision of their seniors.

But even with this, the fact that the one that created this artificial dao field wasn’t a senior figure of the Star Shattering Sect, but instead the disciple of one, was concerning to say the least to this group of investigators.

It made it clear to them that the strength of the Star Shattering Sect was unfathomable. Far beyond their initial expectations of it just being a hidden ancient sect that had just recently ended up resurfacing due to them running low on certain resources or needing to take in a batch of new disciples to fill in the ranks.

Not to mention, the information that these younger disciples had about the different cultivation realms also made it clear that the inheritance of this ancient hidden sect was very much still complete, with some of them even mentioning some information about the Profound Immortal Realm that even they hadn’t known about beforehand.

From originally having not really felt that enthusiastic about being sent all the way to the Northern Central Region, they found themselves becoming far more excited about the entire situation after they realized they might have stumbled upon an ancient hidden sect that had not just managed to preserve its inheritance but might even have managed to preserve some of its true strength from before it had been forced into hiding.

This true strength didn’t refer to the different defensive measures and artifacts an ancient hidden sect would have, but instead referred to the potential existence of a surviving senior from the past somewhere deep within this ancient sect.

Even if this senior figure was in a near death state, such an existence, able to survive to this day, was undoubtedly someone who had surpassed the Profound Immortal Realm and stepped into the Venerable Realm.

And for such existence, even in a near death state, they would be more than capable of flipping the entire continent upside down before burning out.

More importantly, they weren’t here to fight with the Star Shattering Sect, they were here to lay the groundwork for those behind them to trade with the Star Shattering Sect and to those seniors, the best-case scenario was that the Star Shattering Sect was powerful, as it would mean they had far more to trade when it came to dao runes. Especially if they truly did have a senior surpassing the Profound Immortal Realm still around and kicking, it meant that they wouldn’t just have a vast quantity of dao rune blueprint, but also that they had one for every minor stage within the Star Creation Realm. In other words, they had at least nine unique dao rune blueprints.

Of course, dao rune blueprints all came with different values depending on their complexity and completeness, but to most, the value of a dao rune generally went up if it was carved into the dao lotus later.

The main reason for this being rather obvious, as the first dao rune might only take ten or so thousand years to carve without any dao rune blueprint to follow, while the final ninth dao rune could take hundreds of thousands of years to carve without a blueprint and still not be completed. Not to mention the obvious time a dao rune blueprint would save in case one ended up failing a tribulation.

Not that any of these investigators knew much about this, as their cultivation was simply to low to understand much of what they had learnt about these higher cultivation realms while learning what to look for when out investigating the power of different forces across the world.

Still, they recognized the value of the Star Shattering Sect and immediately shifted away from their covert investigation and instead began planning on how to approach the Star Shattering Sect as envoys. Having essentially gained what they needed to move onto this step from the younger disciples of the Star Shattering Sect who were more than willing to share some of the things about their sect that they didn’t consider important with anyone who was curious. Happy to share the magical environment of the Shattered Star Peaks with them.

Of course, even though they did end up sharing a few things, these younger, inexperienced disciples didn’t entirely lack worldly experience and did hide some of the unique things about the sect, like the ascension realm tower and ascension secret realm.

But even then, they still shared far more than what someone like Feng Chen would have wanted to leak out.

Luckily, the information about the sect these younger sects had access to wasn’t anything that could pose an existential threat to the sect and would at most awe those outside. The fact that the Star Shattering Sect wasn’t an ancient hidden sect was only known to the first-generation elders and disciples of the Star Shattering Sect... And by now, these people had all grown up and weren’t foolish enough to freely share this kind of information. Not to mention how unbelievable it sounded in the first place given the strength of Flying Sword Sect and Spring Flower Sect.

Compared to believing the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect joining together to form the Star Shattering Sect, it was far more believable to just see these two smaller sects that had at most had Nascent Soul Realm cultivators in the past as having been absorbed into the Star Shattering Sect as subordinate powers.

In fact, a few who had investigated the origin of the Star Shattering Sect had found this link in the past but ultimately found it too unbelievable that two sects with Nascent Soul level power had grown into a behemoth the size of the Star Shattering Sect in such a short time.

The group of investigators who were now planning their upcoming job as envoys visiting the Star Shattering Sect were among those who had ended up finding this connection but chucked it up to being nothing more than a coincidence.

If anything, it had only convinced them that these two sects might have acted as the outside eyes of the ancient hidden sect in the past before it had revealed itself. Especially so because the establishment of the Flying Sword Sect and its founder was a complete mystery to them. Having clearly noticed during their short investigation of the Flying Sword Sect before they got to Bright Stone City, that the founder of the Flying Sword Sect was far from ordinary and undoubtedly a powerful cultivator who shouldn’t have appeared in this kind of backwards place beyond the central regions of the continent in the first place.

The simple fact that they had even been able to sus out the strangeness of the founder of the Flying Sword Sect and how far beyond the local cultivators his strength had been, was a clear testament to their investigative strength.

Unfortunately, they still ended up mistaking the connection between the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower as nothing. Instead, just becoming more convinced about them being the outside eyes and ears of the Star Shattering Sect before it revealed itself thanks to the mysterious founder of the Star Shattering Sect~
