Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 780: Another Creation of the Authority
His blood and qi erupted all at once.
The Colossus's Brain's formidable physical constitution played a crucial role at this moment.
She leaped up and immediately engaged the Fallen Angel in close-quarters combat. Every punch used her immense physical strength to scatter the Fallen Angel's dark magic, preventing her from interfering with Sir Aiwen and the others' decoding efforts.
"Restrict her movements! Give me two more minutes! We'll have this entire magic circle disabled soon!"
Sir Aiwen shouted.
The silver-haired girl's gaze grew even colder as she immediately intensified her assault, unleashing a storm of blows upon her opponent.
Meanwhile, the dark wings on the Fallen Angel's body became covered in countless golden mottled spots of light. This indicated that the other consciousness within her body was also continuously siphoning away her power as it fought for control, severely limiting her in every aspect.
"Damn it!"
Her gaze grew increasingly ferocious as she was forced to focus entirely on dealing with the Colossus's Brain's attacks.
Crack!Another resounding snap echoed out.
With Sir Aiwen's successful decoding, the massive magic circle collapsed and caved in by nearly a quarter of its scope once more. The madness afflicting everyone throughout the entire city was further alleviated.
"Almost there! Just the last half remains! Hold on!"
Sir Aiwen's urgent voice rang out throughout the grand hall.
Outside in the plaza, one Night Doctor after another howled in anguish while clutching their heads, collapsing in disarray on the ground. Being closest to the grand hall, they were practically the first to be hit the moment the magic circle activated. Even the most elite Night Doctors were utterly unable to withstand that maddening whisper.
But it was precisely at this moment.
Within the sacred High Tower on the plaza, as the maddening whisper continued to recede, White Night clutched his head, gritting his teeth so hard his eyes nearly bled. Yet he still climbed step by unsteady step toward the very summit of the tower.
One could say that being almost directly above the dark magic circle, the effects he suffered were a hundred, even a thousand times worse than those outside.
But he was also the most devout believer in all of Nightfall City.
Relying almost purely on sheer willpower, he climbed the tower that symbolized holiness and redemption, step by step.
"May the Matriarch... protect..."
Finally.
At that very moment, as he climbed, he tightly gripped the crack-covered cross in his hand, and with the last shred of his remaining strength, he smashed the cross heavily against the great bell at the tower's highest point.
Boom!
A resounding chime echoed throughout the entire city.
A surge of holy power erupted instantaneously from the shattered cross in his hand.
And across the city's several other towers, one could also see figures climbing with tremendous difficulty. At the same moment the bell tolled, they too struck the great bells representing protection. Clearly, it wasn't just White Night. Throughout Nightfall City, other Night Doctors who had not been subdued by the madness were doing the same thing.
With the thunderous ringing of the bells.
The protective barrier that the Twelve-Winged Self-Binding Angel had left within Nightfall City finally unfolded completely at this moment.
Several towers shot out brilliant beams of holy light, refracting across a dozen or more towers, weaving a web like a galaxy of stars above Nightfall City.
This was a decision that could only be made by the various Veterans when Nightfall City was invaded by external forces and the Matriarch was unable to take control of the city at a moment's notice. This was the supreme sacred barrier that had stood within Nightfall City, protecting them for thousands of years!
Hmm!
With the combined efforts of dozens of devout Night Doctors, the moment the barrier unfolded, the madness brought by the dark magic was further suppressed to its absolute limit.
"Damn it!"
In the underground grand hall.
Sensing the situation outside, the Fallen Angel's gaze turned savage. Her wings abruptly spread wide, forcing back the Colossus's Brain, and she herself retreated in flight.
She knew that the tide had turned.
Given her current state, completing this city-wide cataclysm with her own power alone had become nearly impossible.
But she refused to accept it!
This wasn't her fault, nor was it because of how powerful the Roots she faced were. It was entirely due to the interference that quill had secretly made. If not for that quill rousing the main consciousness within her body, her magic circle would never have developed any flaws.
Crack!
Another deafening sound.
With the collapse of the contracted magic circle in the sky above, the influence of the madness was suppressed to its lowest point.
And with the magic circle shattering, even she herself suffered wave after wave of backlash. Her entire body shuddered violently, pain twisting her face, and the golden spots on her body grew increasingly pronounced.
And it was precisely at this opportunity.
The silver-haired girl's gaze was ice-cold as the chains around her surged. Moving at explosive speed, she drove a punch straight into the Fallen Angel, sending her body crashing heavily into the massive angel statue behind her, sliding down it drenched in blood.
"You've failed. Surrender now."
The Colossus's Brain stared at her, landing slowly, her long hair whipping wildly behind her.
The Fallen Angel panted heavily, furiously wiping away the black blood mixed with gold at the corner of her mouth, and raised her head from the shattered statue with venomous, insane eyes.
"Do you think I've failed?"
Her hand slowly clenched into a fist.
"No."
"This is only the beginning."
She struggled to her feet, her massive twelve wings drooping low.
"I was planning to save this for the critical moment, but since you refuse to follow my plan, then I no longer care."
In an instant.
She suddenly lifted her head, her eyes erupting with pitch-black hatred and madness.
And at that very moment, with a wisp of black mist surging, her five fingers snapped open. A small music box slowly materialized in her palm within a halo of light.
Click.
The music box opened by itself, the winding key slowly turning, revealing a clay-like clown figurine grinning eerily within.

Hmm!
The moment the music box appeared, the entire grand hall's aura underwent a massive shift.
The Godweaver Head jolted violently, her gaze snapping over immediately.
And when her eyes landed on that music box, it was as if she had suddenly remembered something. Her pupils dilated sharply.
"That's..."
At the same time, in the room at the center of the anomaly.
The quill that had been writing also paused, then involuntarily began writing across the parchment once more. Blood-red characters appeared, each one a chilling sight.
[An unexpected change has occurred in the perfect ending. It seems the Jailers' visit granted that evil consciousness an authority the quill failed to foresee. Based on observation, it appears to be a derivative of some kind of divine authority, and according to the narratives in the quill's storybook, all the Roots here were recently subjected to the negative influence of this very authority.]
[A new change seems to have appeared in the ending once more.]
