Chapter 731: We'll Study It Once You Grow Up

In an instant.

The malice in her eyes exploded outward.

The dense black runes etched into the void fell onto the mechanical dragon plushie as if they were free, cascading down in a rapid spray.

[Ping! Godweaver Head launched a voodoo curse at the God of All Machines: Corrosion, curse failed!]

[Ping! Godweaver Head launched a voodoo curse at the God of All Machines: Weakness, curse succeeded!]

[Ping! Godweaver Head launched a voodoo curse at the God of All Machines: Rusting, curse succeeded!]

A constant dinging sounded in his ears, announcing all kinds of voodoo curse prompts, including but not limited to rotten luck, short-circuit, malaria, mania, and x-function disorder — a horrifying array of negative debuffs.

Lynn gripped his hands tightly, trembling all over as he watched that terrifying scene of continuous curses. As someone born and raised in the Huaxia cultural sphere, he truly had an instinctive fear of this straw-doll style of cursing.

But actually, that wasn’t Lynn’s main fear.

He widened his eyes tentatively and asked, “Auntie, may I ask you a dramatic question? I mean hypothetically, suppose — just suppose — if Father-in-law accidentally held another girl’s hand, you wouldn’t curse him like this, right?”

The tentacle that was inscribing the voodoo runes froze.

Then those terrifying, vicious eyes looked over and said, “He held another female being’s hand?”

Lynn opened his mouth but hadn’t gotten a word out.

Pfft.

Lynn instantly went full hair-raising panic.

A blade stabbed straight into the crown of that head plushie from the divine-sensation spot!

It pierced right through!

Lynn, shocked, stuck out a hand and stammered, “No! No! I mean hypothetically, it’s a hypothetical — it didn’t actually happen!!”

Godweaver Head pulled the knife out of the toy’s crown with an exasperated expression, wiping it clean with slicing sounds, and said, “You should’ve said so. Suddenly asking me questions about your mother-in-law made me stab him for nothing. But he didn’t have the guts anyway. Still, even if he had, it’s fine. I’m not some unreasonable deity.”

Lynn asked in surprise, “Really?”

Godweaver Head wiped the blade and said, “Of course. Back then he peeked at my angel eldest sister once, so I stabbed him a few hundred times that night. If it had been my mother, my father wouldn’t have come out alive.”

Lynn: (wide-eyed shock).

“This… this is really hereditary…?”

Godweaver Head immediately covered her cheeks shyly, wearing the gentle expression of a homemaker. She hugged the knife, smiling happily and sweetly, closing her eyes in a look of domestic virtue.

“Of course. My grandma was a very powerful Wushen, my mother was also extremely strong. Auntie may be a bit weaker, but I believe my lovely daughter will surpass us. When my daughter grows up, I will teach her our family’s inherited blade technique, oh ho ho ho—”

She let out an embarrassed, modest laugh, the knife coiled on her tentacle slicing through the air with a whoosh.

Lynn felt struck by lightning.

Little One’s face showed longing and admiration, palms pressed together in a devotional gesture, saying, “So cool!”

Godweaver Head snapped back to reality, then looked at Lynn curiously, lifting the knife and saying, “By the way, son-in-law, why did you ask me that? Could it be…”

“Ah hahahahaha—!”

Lynn laughed heartily, waved a big hand, and adjusted his monocle.

“Auntie’s blade technique truly is unparalleled. Your son-in-law has long admired it and asked that foolish question out of ignorance. It’s getting late. Auntie, you keep cursing here. Little One and I will be right back; we’ll have a proper chat later!”

Without another word and without hesitation, Lynn turned and bolted off toward the battlefield as if fleeing.

Godweaver Head and Little One watched the figure sprint away in astonished puzzlement.

It looked like an escape.

But not even several dozen meters after he ran.

Snap—

The invisible string around his neck suddenly tightened.

Silently his legs kicked forward and he toppled.

“……”

Little One stared blankly at the plushie dolls of herself and Lynn she was holding. With a jolt she quickly bit through the connecting thread with a fierce snap, quietly tossed the doll backward, and looked up at her mother with a dazed expression.

“Mommy—Little One is following Doctor Brother—be sure to come along soon, okay!”

Godweaver Head affectionately nudged her beloved daughter forward and said, “Go on, go on, my silly child.”

Watching Little One hop along toward Lynn, then dump the unconscious Lynn onto her own head like a doll, and then bound off toward the distant battlefield, Godweaver Head hesitated and turned her tentacle to peek again at the silver-haired girl plushie, the classical noble youth doll beside her. She looked it over and murmured, “Could it be…”

As for the plushie of the big tree not far away, she didn’t even consider it.

Because that would definitely be impossible.

After all, no matter how awesome her son-in-law might be, there was no way he would have any strange relationship with a tree.

That would be ridiculous.

Soon.

Lynn regained consciousness on top of Little One’s head.

Feeling the breakneck speed, Lynn leaned down from Little One’s head, looked below, and shouted, “Little One! Listen to Doctor Brother, you absolutely must not tell Auntie about me slapping the tree! It was completely an accident!”

Little One, sprinting, looked up curiously and asked, “Doctor Brother—what is ‘slap’—huh?”

Lynn, embarrassed, gave a messy explanation: “It’s an evil process that can produce offspring, but Little One, you’re still young and don’t need to know. Once you grow up, we can study it properly!”

“Mm!”

Little One nodded blankly, but her curiosity persisted. She raised her eyes and asked loudly,

“So Daddy—did you slap Mommy?”

“Of course, that’s how Little One was born!”

Lynn rubbed his forehead, not even sure what he was answering.

Little One nodded absentmindedly; clearly she couldn’t yet connect the two concepts.

To her, it was just a word she couldn’t fully understand. The specific details were entirely absent from her head.

She looked up, innocent and curious, and asked Lynn a new question.

“Then Brother, did you slap Little One?” (wide-eyed)
