Chapter 711: The Colossus! The Curse Descends

  • Next Chapter

Right under the shocked gaze of Sir Aiwen, who was stunned speechless by the revelation.

All channels across the entire Sight had been completely overrun and flooded with this announcement.

The creatures leaving messages in the channels were flickering past at a dizzying speed. Almost every dark creature in the entire Sight was drawn to this earth-shattering news.

"The Colossus... an Ancient God beyond Root-level... Even an existence like that can't escape the shackles of this world? Then what about us..."

"What utter despair! What utter despair! Hahahaha!"

"But what I'm more curious about is that guy sharing the info. What the hell is he? How did he get the Colossus's first-person perspective? Did he go along with the Colossus? Is he a Root-level existence too?"

"It's really insane. During the Root-level war between the Flesh and Blood Cult and the Mechanical Cult before, he shared a ton of footage too. Just from the Skeleton Coins he earned, that single day pushed him into the top ten!"

"But will the Colossus really fall? What do we do! I want to see it! I want to see it! But damn, the fee is way too expensive!! I'm broke!"

All kinds of frantic discussions erupted in the World Channel.

It could be said.

The chaotic battle happening in the region of the Cursed City right now was absolutely a world-shaking event in the history of the Dark World.

And being able to personally witness this history destined to be recorded was absolutely a huge deal for every dark creature, something they could brag about forever!

But...

Too expensive! The fee was way too expensive!

Sir Aiwen's gaze went hollow as he disconnected from the Sight. He turned his head with a creaking sound to look at the innocent and busy Lynn, who had just returned from the Sight.

"Lynn... you took what you saw... and sold it for money?!"

Lynn was startled and looked up blankly. "What? Big Brother Aiwen, I don't understand a thing you're saying."

With a sharp pop, an anger vein exploded on Sir Aiwen's forehead. He closed his eyes and his fingers creaked as he clenched them into fists.

Deep breath.

Hold it in!

He must hold it in!

Lynn was still kind and empathetic. Him going through that life-and-death ordeal at the edge of hell with the Colossus in that space was purely out of his own goodness and that shred of compassion for the Colossus's Brain. It had nothing to do with livestreaming for money!

And now, rushing to save the Colossus, this desperate act, was also entirely driven by that flicker of pity and sympathy in his heart. Absolutely, positively nothing to do with that damn money!

Yes!

That must be it!

MLGBD! That must be it!

"When did you start this business in the Sight? How come I didn't know about it? Did you start recording back then already?!"

Sir Aiwen creaked his fist, the anger vein on his forehead already strained tight.

Lynn looked around blankly and said, "Business? What business? Big Brother Aiwen, I don't understand."

Seeing this guy still playing innocent right in front of him.

Sir Aiwen's creaked as he locked Lynn's neck with his elbow and squeezed like hell, his face twisted in rage. "Don't you play dumb with me! I just went to the Sight too! 'Fess up! Are those two livestreams yours?! I was wondering why you'd bother going up there with the Colossus with your personality. Turns out you had some shady business going on behind the scenes!!"

Lynn choked and clawed at Sir Aiwen's arm in agony. "I'm suffocating! Suffocating! I'm gonna die!"

"Big Brother Aiwen, you've got it all wrong! The guy streaming on the Sight is called Double Wood. He has absolutely nothing to do with me, Lynn! I went up there with the Colossus purely to broaden my horizons and be a witness!"

"How much did you earn?"

"Two hundred thousand."

"..."

A brief, deathly silence.

The elbow locking Lynn's neck creaked even tighter.

Lynn's eyes bulged as he grabbed Sir Aiwen's arm, struggling. "That's really all! I swear! Advertising and posting announcements cost money! And the Sight takes a huge kickback! Plus, I didn't do it just for the money. I just happened to think I might make a little, so I earned a small sum on the side!"

Sir Aiwen, still in a chokehold, growled, "Then hand over fifty percent as a public contribution!"

Lynn immediately closed his eyes. "Then you might as well just kill me now."

"..."

An eerie silence began to spread.

And just as the two were about to argue further, a crimson beam of light plummeted straight down from the sky and slammed into the distant earth with a thunderous roar.

The entire ground trembled, and rolling clouds of dust and shockwaves swept across the land like the apocalypse itself.

The Colossus had fallen!

At that moment, Lynn and Sir Aiwen locked eyes, their gazes sharpening simultaneously.

Without a moment's hesitation, Lynn flipped over and landed on Little One's head. He adjusted his Monocle and said solemnly,

"Sir Aiwen, leave the Colossus's Brain to me. I have a way to make her side with us. Right now, the priority is to seize the other fragments of the Colossus. Once the Colossus's Brain can no longer maintain the Colossus's integrity, its body will, just like three thousand years ago, be scattered across the world. This is our only chance to gain as many advantages as possible!"

"Little One! Take my body to the Colossus's Brain's location! Hurry!"

Lynn shouted.

His eyes narrowed again in an instant. A red glimmer flashed through them. Without fully severing the link, his consciousness instantly returned to the Colossus's mental space.

He snapped his eyes open.

And immediately, he discovered that with this fall, the entire mental space of the Colossus was beginning to shatter and crumble, teetering on the edge of collapse.

The phantom he had been holding onto earlier had also vanished due to his brief departure.

But Lynn knew.

It couldn't leave this place. Having just endured the fall, it must be hiding somewhere alone now.

"Brain!"

Lynn roared, quickly stepping across the fractured ground, searching everywhere.

"Don't you dare hide now! Those three Root-level existences are eyeing you hungrily. Don't you dare give up hope of surviving!"

He searched frantically and urgently.

And just as Lynn burst through a chaotic patch of blood mist, he instantly sensed an suffocating abnormality in the surroundings.

He abruptly looked up.

And in that moment, he saw it. High above, in the shattered fragments shrouded by blood mist, countless dense black threads, like coiling vipers, were gradually invading this space.

Lynn's heart sank.

A curse!

He immediately realized what it was.

Right. With the Colossus's fall, this hell had begun weaving its net of curses, preparing to shackle the Colossus's Brain with chains that were three thousand years overdue!

And at that point, cast down to Root-level, It would inevitably become incredibly weak.

"This is trouble."
