Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 706: The Countless Gods Who Died Here
But there was almost no chance to catch a breath.
The moment his vision returned, Lynn witnessed the most terrifying sight he had ever seen in his entire life.
Within the thick black mist, an enormous humanoid body sat cross-legged, countless stars swirling around it like fireflies in a frantic orbit. Before it, even the Colossus seemed as insignificant as a speck of dust. It was like a sleeping giant god, submerged in the darkness.
But what was bizarre—
Half of its colossal face had been completely torn away, the rotting black flesh and bones clearly visible within. Its brain looked hollowed out, oozing ominous black blood, silent like a corpse adrift in the starry void.
“An Ancient God… who evolved flesh to its extreme…”
Those Silver Pupils murmured as they stared at the massive corpse.
And through the Hyper-Dimensional Link, even Lynn could feel the chill creeping through the entity's consciousness as it beheld that sight.
“Go! Don’t get close!”
With just one glance, it ignored the scene further, its gaze dark and fierce as it surged with all its might toward the higher sky.But the ominous scene still unfolded. The enormous corpse's eyes, frozen in the starry void, slowly opened. In an instant, it was like the ignition of a star, exploding with immeasurable death beams of ill omen. The sky-covering giant hand, dragging countless dead stars, reached slowly toward the Colossus.
Boom—
Like a Cataclysm, the mere aura swept up by that rotting giant hand made Lynn feel as though his soul was about to shatter.
And it wasn’t just him. Within the Mental Space, countless Colossus consciousnesses flickered and vanished as well. Just at the critical moment, all those consciousnesses seemed to heed a call, merging fully into the Colossus's Brain, and the entire Mental Space suddenly plunged into pitch-black darkness.
No one knew how long passed.
When Lynn opened his eyes again, the link between this Mental Space and the outside world had been reestablished.
As Lynn looked out once more, the corpse seated in the starry void was gone. But he could clearly see that the Colossus's armor was repairing itself, and the arm gripping the spear was faintly dripping with crimson blood.
The surrounding Colossus consciousnesses had clearly diminished by a significant amount.
The missing ones were either shattered or still in a fused state with the Colossus's Brain. Having traveled this far, Lynn could also sense that the Colossus could no longer handle things as easily as before.
“Are you injured?”
Lynn asked gravely, stepping forward.
The Colossus's Brain controlled the Colossus coldly, gripping its spear, and said:
“That was a very high-ranking god, one from my own system. But it’s dead—not killed by the Calamity, but perished in a more ancient era. Unlike those lingering thoughts we saw before, it was likely an ancient escapee, just like me!”
Lynn’s heart sank.
Because he understood the implication of the Colossus's Brain’s words.
If a higher-ranking god from the same system couldn’t escape this hell, then what about it?
And this hell was far deeper than he had imagined. Even now, he hadn’t yet seen that wild, chaotic brilliance—only the twisted imprints of ancient gods triggered along the way.
This path wasn’t just hard to tread; it was nearly impossible to walk at all!
“It’s not too late to turn back now.”
Lynn stared intently at the faint light above the Mental Space, holding Zuo Zuo as he said:
“Since you said that was a god higher than you, you should understand there’s no way you can escape this hell. Do you really want to die here completely before you’re satisfied?”
Those Silver Pupils were icy and fierce, gripping the spear tightly as it said:
“I’ve waited in the Darkness for three thousand years. I won’t give up this chance.”
“I would rather die in that chaos in battle than scrape by in this hell. I will find that Raven. He told us at the dawn of our civilization that he would wait for me at the highest point and descend when the Darkness appears. So how could I sink into this hell?!”
Its gaze sharpened, its entire body surging with a bloody halo as it leaped again into the black mist above, whose end could not be seen.
The link between Lynn and it still existed.
That meant they were still trapped in hell, far from reaching its border.
But the determination in its heart had already told Lynn—
It would not retreat!
It would press forward to the very last moment, cutting through thorns and brambles to carve out a bloody path!
Boom—
The blood-soaked spear once again shattered the barrier of black mist.
And this time, they encountered an even more bizarre and terrifying mutation. The cries of infants echoed through the black mist. They saw a twisted, writhing mass of countless flesh chunks and tentacles, entwining a hollowed female god. Her belly bulged and pulsed, sending out waves of weeping.
Higher up came a cacophony of grating, chaotic music, like a three-dimensional mural. Twisted, nameless abominations cruelly writhed, turning flesh and bones into instruments, blaring out chaotic notes.
Some abomination was eating, stuffing weeping flesh chunks into its mouth with its tentacles, only for them to spill out again through a shattered belly.
Every single one of their eyes glared venomously at the Colossus.
But none stopped their actions.
Pregnancy, music, feasting—things representing beauty—were all presented in an indescribably bizarre and disgusting manner upon these twisted abominations.
Without exception, they attacked the Colossus.
And this time—
The Colossus struggled even more fiercely.
Because their attacks carried an unbearable, terrible curse. Just a single touch would crawl along your flesh and soul like maggots clinging to bone.
Boom—
The blood-drenched spear sliced open the belly of the gluttonous, feasting abomination. Leaping up from inside its twisted organs, it brutally carved its way out of the distorted black mist. The shattered, twisted scene instantly turned back into rolling black vapor.
Without a doubt—
These were all imprints left by gods who had been fully assimilated by hell’s curse in ages past.
None belonged to the current era. Even in the Colossus’s ancient civilization’s progression, it had never seen such terrifying and bizarre Ancient Gods.
And merely the imprints of those assimilated by hell had posed such immense obstacles—one could only imagine how high-ranking they were in life.
But they were dead.
And this made Lynn feel even more deeply the profound horror this hell contained.
Keep pushing forward!
The Colossus’s body was already covered in extensive Cracking. Its armor’s repairs had never ceased since entering that region. Even the spear in its hand now bore countless cracks.
And still, even now, they had not yet set foot on the border of hell.
