Chapter 702: The King’s Call! The Colossus’s Return

  • Next Chapter

He knew that the Colossus was different from him—It was an ascender who would never admit defeat. It never thought about how to live peacefully in the future, nor would It ever choose to play it safe. It was as if Its very existence was for greater conquest and struggle!

In an instant.

He turned his head sharply, urgently looking toward the cracked, crimson-glowing silver tower.

That meant It was going to go all out?!

And almost at the same time, the entire earth rumbled and quaked. The ground cracked open, and the sky above churned with surging winds and clouds. Endless black mist swirled wildly around that tower, like a scene of doomsday.

The massive trunk of the Desire Mother Tree was forced back inch by inch, while the cracks on the silver tower continued to climb higher and higher.

Crack—

Accompanied by the sound of shattering.

The blinding red light caused all living creatures within thousands of miles to shut their eyes.

And it was within that terrifying red radiance that a colossal, fleshy brain slowly rose high into the sky. Sharp whispers echoed in the minds of every living being, as if driving the very flesh and blood within their bodies to seethe and roar.

All creatures were forced back by the shockwave.

Like a divine miracle.

Countless blood-red outlines spread out across the entire sky from that massive fleshy brain, gradually forming the invincible phantom of the Colossus.

It towered above the firmament, making everything in the world seem as insignificant as ants before It.

“So this… is the Colossus?”

In the distant rift, the massive eyeball of the Flesh and Blood Dominator reflected the sky-shrouding shadow, a flicker of incomprehensible death light flashing in its gaze.

Then came a powerful heartbeat.

Boom—

Like war drums, making every living creature clearly feel the terrifying force contained within.

Under their watchful eyes.

Within the phantom of the Colossus, a blood-drenched heart began to swell and expand. With each beat, it seemed to grow dozens of times larger. The powerful heartbeat was like the pulse of the world itself, causing the entire earth to tremble under its crushing pressure.

But if one looked closely, they could still clearly see that as the heart expanded, on the outer wall of the heart chamber, a pair of scissors-hand gestures—carved by some unknown hand—were faintly visible, standing out particularly sharply.

But no one cared about that.

Because at this moment, every being present was already overwhelmed by that violent, crushing aura.

And in that moment, Sir Aiwen finally understood what It intended to do.

He murmured, gazing at the phantom of the Colossus:

“It wants to… rebuild… the Colossus… right here…”

Hum—

A blood-red aura spread out from the heights where It stood, and the Colossus’s hyper-dimensional link was almost simultaneously activated under the drive of that brain.

“Return—!”

The hoarse voice roared like sky-shrouding thunder, echoing across the entire firmament.

And in front of the gate of that mental space, Lynn, holding Zuo Zuo, raised his head, gazing at the surging blood mist. He immediately felt the tremor in his blood and the powerful summons.

It was the hyper-dimensional link between Colossus’s Flesh and Blood!

And even though he was no longer the Colossus’s Heart, the authority flowing through his blood still allowed him to temporarily step into this system.

Countless specks of light.

Spread across the entire sky as far as his eyes could see.

Just like the first hyper-dimensional link that connected the consciousness of countless Colossi into a hyper-dimensional network. And he finally understood what that mysterious realm of consciousness he had experienced back then really was.

It was here!

This was the world that once belonged to all the Colossi’s consciousness before they were dismembered and separated!

And in the next moment, as the specks of light lit up in the blood mist-churning sky, he also sensed the call and mobilization spreading across the entire Dark World. It was using the Colossus’s authority, in the name of King and Queen, to sound the horn of return for all the fleshy consciousness of the Colossi!

Hum—

Under Lynn’s stunned gaze.

The first phantom descended from the sky in a blood-red pillar of light, landing before the staircase at his feet. It was Big Tongue—his Little Treasure.

And at this moment, it had completely changed from its usual demeanor. In the halo of its consciousness, it surged with hollow yet stirring ripples.

Because it was, after all, part of the Colossus.

And now.

It had finally… come home.

Lynn closed his eyes, holding Zuo Zuo, as countless pillars of light descended one after another from the blood-red sky. One by one, they were summoned back to this kingdom that was rightfully theirs.

One, two, ten, a hundred, a thousand…

All of these were consciousnesses born from the flesh and blood that had been dismembered and separated before the Colossus’s fall. And now, they had answered the call of their King and Queen.

They were going to…

Return home.

And in the outside world, everyone was witnessing a terrifying spectacle.

Space kept splitting open. Countless fleshy tissues, under that divine-like mobilization and summons, continuously broke through the air, surging toward the phantom of the Colossus, allowing the dismembered Colossus to regain its physical form.

Three thousand years of splitting. Three thousand years of dormancy.

And with each piece of flesh and blood that returned, the aura of that massive Colossus phantom grew more terrifying by one degree.

It was fighting tooth and nail. It was using these millennia of dormancy to forcibly return to Its divine throne at this very moment, shattering the shackles of this hell, and pointing straight to the Upper World!

Boom—

It raised Its head. As Its eyes activated, Its gaze pierced directly through the black mist that shrouded the sky, looking toward the even higher reaches of this hell.

But as Its power continued to climb.

The black mist above the sky spun even more wildly. At some point, a gale swept up an endless tide of darkness. On the ground beneath It, countless shrieking, ghost-like hands reached out, scratching and tearing at Its massive body with rattling sounds.

From within the black mist came the cold clatter of chains. Rain began to fall from the sky.

But it wasn’t rain.

It was countless burning, blood-red ashes drifting down.

The entire hell, because of Its ever-increasing might, manifested countless bizarre omens, trying to suppress It.

But Its gaze did not waver in the slightest.

It gazed.

It pierced straight through, gazing at the high sky, at what lay beyond the black mist.

And all the Roots present could feel the chilling suppression and terror from hell itself—far greater than what was pressing down on them. Their gazes turned pale, because at this moment, only Sir Aiwen and the God of All Machines understood that It had, within this hell, raised Its own rank to a level far beyond all the other Roots.
