Chapter 404: Chapter 233: Lu Fan: Whoever Bullies Jiang Silu Can Prepare to Die

Jiang Silu: [Sorry, I’m not looking to date, and I don’t want to waste your time. Let’s just leave it at that.]

After sending the message, she immediately unfriended him.

Lu Yao leaned over to look, then gave a thumbs-up. "Beautifully done!"

"You can’t give a guy like that any hope," Liu Shiting added, nodding in agreement.

Zhao Tianyu sat in his dorm room, staring at his phone screen, his expression growing darker by the second.

He never thought he’d be rejected so decisively, let alone that she wouldn’t even want to be friends.

He wasn’t bad-looking, his family was wealthy, and he was a pretty big name on campus. There was no shortage of girls chasing him.

But this Jiang Silu wouldn’t even give him the time of day.

He pulled up the candid photo again. After looking at it for a moment, the corners of his mouth slowly curled into an unsettling smile.

He picked up his phone and sent a message to a friend.

Zhao Tianyu: [I need you to do something for me. Post on the school forum and the Confession Wall. Say that Jiang Silu from the Landscape Architecture department is playing two guys at once, keeping others as backups, and using them like personal ATMs. The more detailed you make it, the better.]

Friend: [Seriously? You got beef with her?]

Zhao Tianyu: [No beef. I just want to make her understand that rejecting me comes with a price.]

Friend: [Alright, I’ll get it done.]

That night, several posts appeared almost simultaneously on the school forum and the Confession Wall.

"Exposing the True Colors of the ’Innocent’ Girl from Landscape Architecture—Two-Timing and Using Guys as ATMs."

The post was written in convincing detail, claiming Jiang Silu was leading on several guys at once, never refusing gifts, and spending their money without a shred of guilt. It even included a few screenshots of chat logs.

The screenshots were faked, but at first glance, they looked pretty convincing.

The comment section exploded.

"For real? She looks so innocent."

"Looks can be deceiving."

"I always thought there was something off about her. Winning a gold medal as a freshman? She probably pulled some strings."

"Don’t just spread rumors. There’s no proof."

Jiang Silu was busy working on her design drawings, completely oblivious to everything.

She was wearing headphones, focused on the lines on her screen.

Lu Yao returned, phone in hand, her face livid.

The moment she walked in the door, she yelled, "Silu! Quick, look at this!"

Jiang Silu took off her headphones. Seeing the look on her friend’s face, she took the phone and glanced at it.

Her finger froze on the screen. Her eyes were glued to the text, reading it word by word.

The vicious speculation, the faked screenshots, the snide remarks in the comments—each one felt like a needle piercing her heart.

Her eyes turned red, and her hands began to tremble.

Song Miaomiao leaned over to look as well. After she finished reading, her face flushed with anger. "Who wrote this? It’s outrageous!"

Liu Shiting took the phone, read the post from top to bottom, and said calmly, "These screenshots are fake. The font and the timestamps on the chat logs are all wrong. Someone is deliberately trying to smear your name."

"So what do we do? We can’t just let them spread these lies!" Lu Yao said, growing frantic.

Jiang Silu put the phone down, took a deep breath, and forced her voice to remain steady. "I’ll find the people who run the Confession Wall and the forum and ask them to take the posts down."

Liu Shiting nodded. "I’ll go with you," she suggested. "Miaomiao, you stay here in the dorm and watch to see if any other posts pop up."

The person who ran the Confession Wall was a third-year student with the surname Zhou.

Seeing Jiang Silu show up at his door, he looked a little guilty. He quickly deleted the post and put up a clarification: [After verification, the contents of the post regarding student Jiang Silu of the Landscape Architecture department have been found to be untrue. The post has been deleted. We ask everyone to refrain from spreading false information.]

Lu Yao also posted a clarification in the comments: [Jiang Silu isn’t two-timing anyone, and she certainly isn’t using anyone as an ATM. The screenshots are fake. Please don’t believe the lies.]

But even though the posts were deleted, the screenshots had already been spread everywhere.

On the forum, someone commented with a snide tone, "Deleted so fast. Must have some connections, right?"

"She got into the national competition as a freshman. There’s definitely someone backing her."

Zhao Tianyu read the comments and smiled, satisfied.

He didn’t expect things to blow up this much, but the bigger it got, the happier he was.

He would make that girl understand that crossing him was a bad idea.

Just as he was gloating, his phone rang.

It was his friend calling.

"Tianyu, did you see the clarification post? Looks like she’s got some pull, getting it deleted that fast."

Zhao Tianyu sneered. "So what if it’s deleted? The screenshots are already circulating. She’s so ’pure,’ isn’t she? Let’s see how she’s going to clear her name now."

"Isn’t this a bit much? She’s just a girl, after all..." his friend said hesitantly.

Zhao Tianyu cut him off. "A bit much? She rejected me in front of all those people and embarrassed me. What’s wrong with teaching her a little lesson?"

His friend didn’t say anything else and hung up.

The next morning, Lu Yao was scrolling through her phone in class when she suddenly saw a new post.

The title read: "Jiang Silu of Landscape Architecture, Who Are You Kidding with That Innocent Act?"

The content was even more vicious than before. It claimed she used her looks to seduce guys, that she only won the gold medal because of her connections, and even insinuated she was having an affair with a professor.

Lu Yao was so furious she nearly smashed her phone. She tapped Song Miaomiao, who was sitting next to her, and passed the phone over.

Song Miaomiao glanced at it, and her face fell.

The two exchanged a look, neither of them knowing how to break the news to Jiang Silu.

Jiang Silu was sitting in the front row listening to the lecture, her notebook filled with design sketches.

The class bell rang.

Jiang Silu turned around and saw the troubled looks on Lu Yao’s and Song Miaomiao’s faces.

She asked, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"

Lu Yao opened her mouth, but didn’t know how to begin.
