Chapter 358: Chapter 219: Lu Fan: Yixia, last night you hugged me and kissed me hard

Soon.

Morning sunlight streamed in through the gap in the curtains.

Jiang Yixia groggily opened her eyes, her mind hazy.

She stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before realizing she was in her own room.

Birds were chirping outside the window, and someone was talking in the courtyard. It was Pan Lanfang’s voice, but she couldn’t quite make out what was being said.

She slowly sat up and glanced down at herself.

Her clothes were still on.

The blanket was tucked snugly around her, covering her from shoulders to feet.

She let out a sigh of relief, but then tensed up again.

As for last night, she only remembered drinking on the rooftop. After that... what happened after that?

She racked her brain, but it was a complete blank.

She only remembered that Lu Fan’s shoulder was warm, the beer was a little bitter, and the moon was very round.

Then, it seemed she had leaned against him, and after that, she couldn’t remember anything at all.

Jiang Yixia’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned to look at the side of the bed.

The bed was empty. No one was there.

Just as she breathed another sigh of relief, she looked down at the floor and froze completely.

Lu Fan was lying on a pallet on the floor, on his side, with the blanket pulled up to his waist.

He was wearing a white tank top, revealing his firm shoulders and arms.

He was sleeping soundly, his breathing even. The corners of his mouth were turned up slightly, as if he were having a pleasant dream.

Yixia’s face instantly turned red.

She took a deep breath and tried to get out of bed as quietly as possible. But as soon as she moved, the floor let out a soft CREAK.

Lu Fan stirred, rolled over, and then slowly opened his eyes.

Their eyes met.

Yixia froze in place, her face as red as a ripe tomato.

Lu Fan looked at her, blinked, then stretched and yawned before saying lazily, "Morning."

His voice, husky from sleep, was low and exceptionally clear in the quiet room.

Yixia glared at him, her voice trembling. "You... Why are you sleeping in my room?"

"You were drunk last night. You were hugging me and wouldn’t let go, and you kept kissing me. I had no choice but to stay here and watch over you," Lu Fan said slowly, lying on the floor and looking at her with a grin.

Yixia’s face grew even redder, and her voice cracked. "You’re lying! How could I possibly..."

"It’s true. You don’t believe me?" Lu Fan put on an innocent expression and spread his hands. "You wrapped your arms around my neck, said, ’Don’t go,’ and then started kissing me. I couldn’t even get away. You also said..."

He paused deliberately, leaving her in suspense.

Yixia was so anxious her voice changed pitch. "What did I say?"

Lu Fan held back a laugh and said with a perfectly straight face, "You said, ’Lu Fan, you’re so handsome,’ several times. You also said I was even more handsome than when I was eighteen."

Yixia was so angry she was speechless. Her chest heaved, and her face was so red it looked like it could bleed.

She glanced down at herself. Her clothes were fine, and the blanket was tucked in properly.

But Lu Fan sounded so convincing that she wasn’t so sure anymore.

She really couldn’t remember a thing from last night’s drinking.

She bit her lip and asked in a small voice, "Then... then what happened?"

Lu Fan chuckled. "Later? Later, I carried you back to your room, but you wouldn’t let go of my hand and insisted that I stay. I said no, but you said, ’If you don’t stay, I’ll ignore you forever.’ I had no choice, so I had to make a bed on the floor here."

As he spoke, he rubbed his shoulder, feigning exhaustion. "This floor is really hard. My back is killing me."

Yixia stared at him, trying to find a flaw in his story.

But Lu Fan’s expression couldn’t have been more sincere, and it even held a hint of grievance.

Her confidence wavered.

’What if... what if I really did...?’

Yixia’s face felt like it was on fire.

But she still felt that Lu Fan was lying to her.

After all, this guy had lied to her plenty of times before.

’But what if it’s true?’

Besides, if he were just trying to trick her, he would have just gone all the way and slept in the bed next to her instead of on the floor.

After thinking it over, she blushed and said, "Then... then I’m sorry..."

Lu Fan laughed, sat up from his pallet, and stretched his neck.

The collar of his tank top was a bit loose, revealing his collarbone and a small patch of his chest, with the faint outline of his muscles.

"It’s fine. I forgive you. It’s not like I lost out on much, anyway. Just got a kiss from you."

Hearing this, Yixia was both embarrassed and annoyed, and she grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.

Lu Fan caught the pillow and laughed even louder. "But you’re a pretty good shot. Landed it right on the lips."

"You’re still talking!" Yixia grabbed another pillow and threw it at him.

He caught it again, his eyes crinkling with laughter. "Alright, alright, I’ll stop, I’ll stop. Anyway, what happened last night is just between you, me, and the heavens."

Yixia glared at him, wishing her gaze could burn two holes right through him.

But what’s done is done. She couldn’t say anything more, so she had no choice but to forcefully suppress the matter and pretend nothing had happened.

She turned her face away and said coldly, "Get out. I need to change."

Lu Fan smiled, stood up, and walked out with his blanket.

When he reached the door, he glanced back at her and said with a grin, "Actually, last night, you also said one more thing..."

"Get out!" Yixia grabbed the alarm clock on her nightstand, pretending she was about to throw it.

Lu Fan laughed heartily, slipped out the door, and pulled it shut behind him.

Yixia sat on the bed, her heart pounding and her face burning hot.

She touched her lips, her mind a complete mess.

’Did I really kiss him?’

She tried her best to remember, but still couldn’t recall anything.

She sighed, threw back the covers, and got out of bed.

As her feet touched the floor, she saw the indentation on the floor pallet and the crease on the pillow.
