Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 466 - 464:Protagonist Appears
Chapter 466: Chapter 464:Protagonist Appears
"Really? Again?" I didn’t even know if I should be upset or laughing.
"You just erased an entire galaxy. Successfully pulling an impossible amount of aggression towards us, all because someone said the monkey was handsome?" Saying it out loud made the entire thing feel even more unreal.
"Paku. Paku. Paku. I didn’t think you were this jealous about my looks. And here I thought we were true brothers. Oh, how you wound me." The monkey appeared on his staff, reacting dramatically, clearly trying to piss off the already angry monster before us.
"Malachi!!! You fucking bastard!! You know I’m not jealous!!" Paku’s voice rumbled through space as just the shockwaves sent some planets dying and collapsing inward.
"Oh... then why would you commit such a heinous crime as to end so many innocent lives?" Leo of all people was the one asking such a question. The bastard didn’t even try to look sad; all there was on his beak was that sickening smirk that said he was really enjoying whatever was happening.
"That bastard dared to call me ugly!"
"He didn’t. He just said you’d be attractive to beast women," I corrected.
"MOTHERFUCKER!! IT’S THE SAME FUCKING THING!! WOULD YOU FIND BEAST WOMEN SEXY?"
"Of course. Have you seen fox ladies? Cat-girls? Bunny-women? Damn! Have you seen what they look like? You don’t even know what you’re saying." I couldn’t believe someone was asking me such a stupid thing.
"Fuck!! I forgot you’re a man-whore. Of course you’ll find anything with a pretty face, big breasts, and ass pretty!"
"You make it sound like it’s a bad thing. Now, pipe down. Since you’ve gotten it out of your system, I’ll send us back once more, and this time, I expect you to behave. I don’t want to have to beat your ass just to set you straight," I threatened the furball, as he was really derailing my adventures in a cultivation world.
"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE????"
A thunderous roar shook the very fabric of space as multiple threatening auras descended upon the region we were at.
Obviously, Paku’s actions had finally alerted the ancient ancestors and whoever else was responsible for overseeing these galaxies, but—
"It’s not your turn to show up yet, so just lay low and let me get through this shit step by step. Your time is surely coming, but for now—" I raised my hand, and then,
SNAP!
The world glitched once more, and again—
"Name?" We were right back at the time this all started.
"Duan Ling Tian," the furball replied.
"Alright, you can move along now."
Malachi, this bastard, clearly aware of what had happened last time, still opened his mouth to ask the man the same questions he had asked last time. Luckily, Paku seemed to have calmed down significantly, as he didn’t dignify the monkey’s attempts with a reply.
"After all this, it’s me and you, monkey," Paku growled the moment he reached me and Malachi.
"Anytime, furball. Anytime." Of course the monkey wasn’t backing down either.
I ignored the two. They could kill each other for all I cared; so long as they didn’t fuck with my adventures, I didn’t give a fuck what they did.
"Name?" It was finally Salazar’s turn, and I was quite nervous , honestly. After all, one never knew what to expect from the freak, but luckily—
"Chu Feng." The man seemed to be in a cooperative mood today.
"Martial spirit?"
"Nope. None whatsoever."
"Alright then. You can move along." Once again, the man dismissed him with contempt on his face, Salazar merely shrugging as he made his way towards us.
Up next was the chicken-cat.
"Hmmm? A griffon? Those still exist? Fascinating." The man seemed surprised at the sight of Leo, his words not escaping our notice.
"Name?"
"Huang Xiaolong."
"Alright then, you can move along." The man waved him away, but his eyes stayed trailing after Leo’s figure, a strange light flashing past his eyes.
"Paku..."
"Don’t worry. That bastard isn’t getting away from me." Paku grinned as finally he’d gotten free rein to fuck up the bastard that had been annoying him.
Up next was our resident beauty, Nyssara.
"Your woman is up next," Salazar nudged me.
"You make it sound like we don’t already know what’s coming."
"I know, but still, at least look excited." The Chronari nudged me again.
"Fuck! Stop doing that!"
...
"Name?"
"Xue Yao?" Nyssara seemed unsure of her own alias, but a thumbs-up from me reassured the nervous beauty.
"Martial spirit?"
"Yes, I have," she replied.
"Ohh? Then shall we test its grade?" The man seemed to have finally found something exciting as he pulled out a transparent crystal from a spatial ring on his finger.
"Place your palm on this and channel your qi; the grade of your martial spirit will be reflected in colors. Black for Common-grade spirits... Crimson for anything above the Mythic grade."
Nyssara nodded as she did as instructed, placing her palm on the transparent crystal.
It wasn’t even an instant after she placed her palm on it that the crystal ball gave a resonating,
THRUUUUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
A blinding flash of crimson-gold washed over the entire supreme city as the deep growls of something ancient, prehistoric, and deep echoed throughout the city, but it wasn’t alone, as alongside it—
OOOOHHHHHH!!!
The wailing calls of an ancient beast of times forgotten echoed out.
The phantom images of two creatures manifested in the sky as a myriad of phenomena began appearing alongside them.
One was the towering image of a creature with an innumerable number of tentacles; it looked like a ginormous squid, if squids came in continental sizes and ferocious aesthetics.
The other was something more similar to a blue whale from Kyle’s life, with massive, beautiful blue scales covering its body like plated armor. Its call was one of both beauty and danger as its form dwarfed the already massive kraken, a shadow being cast over the entire city from its mere appearance.
The auras of the two manifestations washed over the city as anybody below the Law Integration stage was forced flat onto their stomach, breathing becoming difficult.
"This... this..." Even the man taking down names was sufficiently stunned as he stood rooted to the spot, eyes locked onto the two manifestations in the skies.
"Twin... Twin Celestial-grade spirits?"
....
Within the City Lord’s mansion of Spirit Crow City, a meeting was currently underway between multiple figures.
One was a man in a large blue robe. His features were a bit aged as he cradled a cup of hot tea in his hands. The others were a middle-aged man in brilliant crimson robes, a sword strapped powerfully to his back, and beside him, a woman in pristine white robes, a thin veil covering her face.
"So, City Lord Tang, as we were saying—"
OOOOHHHHH!!!!
The majestic calls of the kraken and leviathan were swiftly followed by the crushing auras of the two beasts as the faces of everyone within the room changed, their figures disappearing from the room and appearing high within the skies, eyes trained on the manifestation above them.
"This... twin spirits?" The middle-aged man called out in disbelief.
"Twin Celestial-grade spirits," the woman corrected, as everyone’s gaze followed the auras of the creatures, landing firmly on the upright and unshaken figure of the princess, who gently pulled her palm away from the crystal as the manifestations disappeared.
"City Lord Tang, who is she?" the woman asked.
"Hmmm... I don’t know. I can’t say I’ve seen her before or heard of any rising genius with twin Celestial-grade spirits," the elderly man called Tang answered, stroking his beard.
"I see... it would seem our choice of using Spirit Crow City for the outer trials was indeed a good choice." The interest of the three was fully piqued as they now watched on in anticipation to see if they could unearth another genius, as Nyssara was already firmly marked in their heads as a must-have.
....
I couldn’t help but smile at the fading manifestations in the sky.
"Seems I was right, huh?" I had deliberately told Nyssara to agree to having a martial spirit. I wanted to test out something. As for what that was? I wanted to see if the so-called Martial Spirit was truly just another way of manifesting the Calderans’ Omni-Beast Suppression bloodline.
Since their bloodline, like the Drakens’ and the Aetherians’, worked by taking in and assimilating the bloodlines of beasts felled by the wielders of those bloodlines, then these martial spirits should just be the manifestation of these assimilated beasts in some spirit form.
The only difference being that these guys were born with theirs and had to awaken it at a certain age, while others needed to actively hunt out for theirs.
And from the fact that Nyssara’s two assimilated bloodlines had been revealed as martial spirits, my conjectures were right.
What martial spirit nonsense? They were just manifesting traits assimilated by their bloodlines. As for where their bloodlines got these beastly assimilations, I could only guess the bloodline was selecting from a long line of Calderan descendants and choosing the most compatible for its hosts. Either way, that solved the bullshit martial spirit concern.
"Did I do well?" Nyssara’s small voice pulled me out of my thoughts as I turned towards the blue-skinned beauty, a soft smile on my face.
"You did perfectly. You looked stunning under those manifestations, like a true queen."
"Sto... stop. You’re just saying things." The woman seemed incapable of handling compliments.
A shameless grin surfaced on my face as I prepared to cash in fully on this weakness, but—
"Name..."
"Lin Tian."
"Hmm?" The next person after Nyssara caught my attention the moment his name was called out.
"Ohh... hahahaha.... Unbelievable. To think even such a thing would appear. Damn, my love, are you sure you aren’t doing something?" Even Shaia couldn’t help bursting out in laughter the moment her senses brushed against the young man.
"You sense something?" I asked. I had merely found the youth interesting since he shared the same name as these galaxies’ ruling family.
"Ohh.. you wouldn’t believe it even if I told you."
"Try me."
"Well, my love, for starters, that young man... he’s not alone."
"Not alone? Not alone how?"
"Not alone in the sense that his soul is not simply his own."
"Woman, speak coherently. That could mean a lot of things in a cultivation setting."
"You don’t understand? I’m saying that young man has another soul in his body; aside from his obviously tampered with and sealed bloodline, he’s got another soul tethered to him."
"You’re not possibly saying..."
"Yup. That’s exactly what I’m saying. That young man... he’s got a grandpa in his soul, tehehehehe...." Shaia burst out laughing once again, and all I could think was,
"What?"

A/N: Lol. So now we’re meeting the protagonist of this particular story? I wonder what Dante is going to do, heh! Anyways,
