Cash blew past Red Sun and Voldemort like a comet, leaving behind a trail of blue-turquoise flames.
Then, hundreds of miles away, she arrested her momentum with a jerk.
Her eyes were still wide.
Her heart was still thumping.
Her face still carried the shock.
Her body was still shaking, covered in goosebumps.
He... Mang Jian... was alive. He was alive. Mang Jian was ALIVE!
Cash, hanging listlessly in space, kept hearing Ekrizdis’ words echoing in her ears over and over.
It was the Lord of Azkaban who had spoken those words, but they belonged to Red — Captain of the White Serpent Pirates — the Five-Crowned Prince.
Could she believe the words of her enemy?
No.
If there was one thing she had learned, it was never to take anything at face value.
Everyone, from her closest allies to her mortal enemies, was a survivor.
There was no innocent Contestant in the Primordial Tower, Cash remembered — an adage that had stood the test of time, era after era.
But she could trust in calculating benefits and risks.
Cash held the entire Mirror timeline by its throat at this moment.
She was powerful enough to turn the tables for either side in this War.
Cash could feel the entire planet in her Dragoon Mode, even the monstrous, murderous intention that the Mirror Timeline held against her.
Then why had She thrown her out into space?
Why didn’t She let her inadvertently cause the deaths of a few Storyline Characters?
Because then, with her being in the timeline without a Mission, the Timeline would have been well within Her rights to obliterate her.
With that, the Timeline could have balanced the scales... a touch more on the Yellow Warlock’s side.
The three Major Mirror Characters — Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Ekrizdis — were all incapable of making any difference.
Voldemort, with the strange bloody protrusion on his chest, might recover sooner, but still not nearly in time.
Moreover, Cash knew Dumbledore was backed by a Half-Deep One and could recover faster than both Voldemort and Ekrizdis.
Then why hadn’t he?
Merely draining him of his blood wasn’t enough to render him incapable of receiving help from a Half-Deep One.
Then why did Black Phoenix still lie listless among the ruins of Nurmengard Castle, sharing it with his archenemy, Lord Voldemort?
Was there something wrong with... the Half-Deep One Himself?
Still, there was no denying that Red stood alone as a champion on the Mirror timeline’s side.
Cash didn’t count Shirou Emiya’s shocking presence on Earth because without his own Fate timeline’s laws backing him up, he would find regaining his Mana reserves an almost impossible task.
On the Pillars’ side, though, things were taking a darker turn.
Even now, the greatest threat among the Pillars was the Witch, who seemed injured, but not injured enough to let Red walk all over her.
Not to mention, Cash had just taken a first-hand measure of Pillar Voldemort.
Even if the Pillar Timeline, which had waged war upon its younger sister, was the weakest among the seven Pillars, it was still a timeline with an Overall Grade of A. Which meant the Major Storyline Pillar Characters possessed the potential to step into the realm of 15th Floor Contestants.
Cash, though feeling mighty, hadn’t lost her mind.
She was no match for either the injured Witch or the Dark Wizard staring at her from behind.
Even if Cash ignored all the Pillars other than these two, she couldn’t ignore Darth Kars, who was secretly regenerating himself, thinking she wasn’t strong enough to sense him.
So, it all came down to her choice.
Which side would she choose to support in this War, which had reached its first, unwanted ceasefire?
Perhaps Red had made Ekrizdis say those words to bring her over to his side?
No.
Cash would never take anything at face value.
But she also knew that a man who possessed enough strength to defeat Mang Jian could not be such an ignorant fool.
Which meant Ekrizdis hadn’t lied.
Which, in turn, meant that Red had a way to contact Ekrizdis, bypassing the Bounded Field’s restrictions, and must have shared those words... true words... to save Morning Mist’s life.
Mang Jian was alive.
Red knew where he was.
And that was all Cash needed to know to decide.
She couldn’t hurt Pillar Voldemort, even if she wanted to.
She couldn’t go to Earth and do some damage to the Pillars and the injured Madam Villanelle without using her full power, either.
Then how could she turn the tables in Red’s favor in a single move?
Because that was all she would have before this forced ceasefire came fully into effect.
Only a few moments had passed since she had stopped motionlessly in space, attracting Pillar Voldemort’s attention.
Once she made that move, the blatant interest he showed in her would cease as well.
It was truly foolish to change sides so late in this War, Cash knew.
But... the urge to see Mang Jian once again was so... so strong in her heart...
Suddenly, Cash smiled.
Why think so much when she had already made up her mind?
So, even as Pillar Voldemort observed her, and even as Darth Kars secretly monitored her, thinking himself too smart, Cash... moved.
It happened in the blink of an eye.
Dragoon Mode —
There was a BOOOOOOOOOM, even in Space, followed by a ROARRRRRR, as the blue flames surrounding Cash surged, taking the shape of Dragoon, the Bit-Beast.
All those flames condensed, becoming a fiery Beyblade launcher in her hands.
— Tailed Beast Bomb —
Cash grabbed the launcher with her left hand and the string with her right, black-red motes of light appearing in the position of a Beyblade.
"3..."
"YOU WOULDN’T..." Darth Kars roared, appearing in front of her like a raging, bloodless wraith in the next moment.
Voldemort appeared next, his Wand raised high.
"2..."
Darth Kars punched with Void Fist while Voldemort fired a heart-palpitating Killing Curse.
Cash smirked.
"Fools..." she said, as a Wall appeared in front of her, blocking the attacks. "... You cannot stop a Beyblade’s launch... 1... Let it rip!"
— Galaxy Storm!
Against the blackness of space, a blacker line appeared.
In the very next moment, the Death Star exploded into smithereens...
