Chaos and Order - A Multiverse Fanfic
Chapter 1191: Red Sun's Greatest Disaster - Love...
Just a few moments before the destruction of the Immortal Lotus Sealing Array…
In stark contrast to the gravity of the situation caused by Kira turning all the men into savage, lustful dogs, a ridiculous event was playing out in outer space, beyond the timeline.
From Earth, it looked like a green speck of light, twinkling like a star, vanishing and reappearing all over the sky.
It was hard to grasp the scale of this absurd phenomenon from Earth, though.
For that, one needed to look not from below, but from way up, at least from the location of the Death Star.
From there, one could see the blinking green speck of light circling the entire planet so fast that it was almost impossible to predict its exact location at any given time.
There was one more oddity, too.
Strangely, it was not related to the green light.
Looking from the planet didn’t reveal this oddity, as it was just too minute to notice were it not for the clarity of space’s emptiness.
The green speck of light wasn’t blinking in and out randomly.
It was… chasing something.
…
Red Sun, with absolute terror on his sweat-drenched face, spammed Instant Teleportation repeatedly as Pillar Voldemort continued to chase him.
The terror wasn’t because of Voldemort, though.
It was because he knew he had fucked up.
The Captain must know by now that he had failed to keep Darth Kars in a stalemate — the only thing he had been tasked to do.
For the last few minutes, instead of doing something meaningful, all Red Sun had been thinking about was how to convince Red that it wasn’t his fault.
Well… not truly!
Voldemort had used Polyjuice Potion to replicate Darth Kars’s magical signature, fooling his Perception.
Red Sun knew this because the Character had boasted it himself.
Voldemort had been trying to kill him ever since, constantly Apparating and Disapparating so fast that he was somehow keeping up with his teleportation.
Not once did Red Sun believe that he was Pillar Voldemort’s match.
The moment the Dark Lord caught him, he would die in a single exchange of moves.
Running around the planet in circles was the only thing keeping him alive… for now, at least.
Instant Teleportation didn’t consume any energy and was purely related to Red Sun’s white, angelic wings, which were a part of his Plant Inheritance.
Maintaining Vash the Stampede’s transformation — which represented the active phase of his Inheritance — did consume energy… a lot!
Red Sun had never been a Contestant with massive reserves.
His prime method of battle was to jump on someone with his Digimon.
Ever since the battle against Agent Zero — Zeus — of Quasi Cipher Pol in the Pokemon Bubble, though, things had taken a sadder turn.
Beelzemon, one of the two Mega-level Digimon in his arsenal, had suffered grievous injuries and was still recovering in the Beast Ball.
But what happened with the Demon Lord Digimon was nothing compared to Red Sun’s lifelong companion — ShineGreymon.
To save Red Sun, ShineGreymon had willingly walked into the darkness, assuming its Ruin Mode.
Ruin Mode had drastically pushed its strength beyond a Mega-level Digimon’s realm without undergoing Digivolution.
That had come at a price, though.
Near the end, ShineGreymon had lost all its Digivolutions, becoming a mere Digi-Egg.
Now, that egg was in Red Sun’s Inventory and would still need considerable time to hatch.
Even then, once the Digi-Egg hatched, his mighty Digimon would have to begin its journey from the very start as a Fresh-level Creature — Botamon, the Slime Digimon!
Red Sun knew the progression of such a Mega Digimon, which had reverted to its Fresh-level, would be much faster.
Still, it wouldn’t happen in the blink of an eye.
Fortunately, none of his enemies knew of this disaster, nor did they know that he couldn’t use either of his two Digimon.
Unfortunately, it created a massive gap in Red Sun’s fighting strategy.
He wasn’t built to enter into prolonged battles without his Digimon.
Red Sun’s MO had always been clearer than Voldemort’s bald head, he believed: Chip away at the enemy’s strength using Digimon, then finish them off with Angel Arm…
That he would experience the only weaknesses in his MO simultaneously had never even crossed his mind!
Neither did he have his Digimon, nor was his Angel Arm enough to take down Pillar Voldemort.
Even the Blood Demon Art — the Double-Barrel Angel Arm — wouldn’t be able to hurt the bastard, Red Sun thought.
It wasn’t about how much damage it could deal.
It was about the attack even landing on the target.
For now, Red Sun was barely surviving the hill-sized, green flashes of Voldemort’s Killing Curses using his Instant Teleportation.
If it hadn’t been for the fear of dying at the hands of a noseless bastard, then he would have already succumbed to exhaustion, instead of merely losing his spiked, blond hair’s spikiness.
The moment he decided to give up merely surviving and focused on attacking instead…
Red Sun believed he would have one chance.
In that one chance, he would have to teleport right next to that dickless bastard and explode his Angel Arm right up his magical ass.
It was that or fear making Voldemort lose interest in chasing him and return to the planet.
If Captain Red hadn’t already made up his mind to throw him to that ridiculous Bleach timeline, then a loose Pillar Voldemort in the Mirror timeline would surely seal his fate.
But just as Red Sun turned around and decided to end this cat-and-mouse game, a blue-turquoise figure appeared between him and the distant Pillar Voldemort, the Power it carried flooding the very fabric of space, turning it into mud.
Coincidentally, the three of them were moving so incredibly fast that, relatively, it gave the impression of time slowing down, letting both men see the newly arrived figure for what it was — a woman.
Red Sun saw the woman covered in bluish spiritual flames flying past him as if someone had thrown her from afar.
Slowly, her draconic, slitted pupils met his blue-green ones behind the amber sunglasses.
Red Sun’s heart thumped.
It was love at first sight!
