Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Very Unfriendly

The chatroom viewers stared wide-eyed, their minds stuck on a single thought: It’s over, it’s over, Taylor the Boxing King is doomed!

Tons of Taylor fans overseas were already bawling their eyes out, hands clasped in prayer, mourning their idol.

The audience had already pronounced Taylor dead in their hearts, but before they could spread the word, they blinked—and in that instant saw a flash of silver glint in the air, heard a crisp "splurt" sound, blood spraying like crimson rain, as if witnessing the most heart-stopping assassination ever. That big tiger, with a gust of bloody red droplets, crashed down with a loud bang.

The camera froze on Taylor’s bulging, bell-like eyes—his gaze was vacant, his soul floating right to Renee Morgan.

She was still gripping the military-grade knife, dripping blood, her beautiful, delicate face way too calm.

Viewers didn’t even have time to check the comments—immediately switched to Renee’s side camera, rewinding the livestream.

The main camera had been on Taylor, so everything they saw was from his angle.

Switching to Renee’s feed, they replayed that breathtaking moment: as the tiger dodged Taylor’s attack and leapt at him, baring its fangs to sever his head, Renee—on a nearby branch—sprang up, one hand steady on the tree, single-handedly gripping the military knife, stabbed it into the tiger’s neck with everything she had, and yanked it out fast, spraying a rain of blood.

Holy shit! Never seen such a badass woman!

Bowing down to her!!!

Chat comments going absolutely ballistic.

[Beekeeper hero, rescue queen star, and now Tiger-Slayer Renee, undisputed boldest female celeb in domestic entertainment.]

[Professional forensic here: from Renee’s grip to her precision, you can tell she’s been training for years—stronger than most grown men. And she didn’t even go all out, left some strength in reserve.]

The fallen tiger was barely breathing, not quite dead yet.

[Tiger: Thanks for not finishing me off, Renee.]

[Professional lawyer: Renee and Taylor’s lives were in danger, so according to emergency self-defense laws, Renee could’ve killed the tiger outright. Plus, you guys haven’t eaten for ages—practically starving. If necessary, you could roast the tiger for food, totally legal and reasonable!!]

[Tiger: Listen, thank you...]

International viewers kept exclaiming.

[Blockbusters make Z-country kung fu look wild, but the real thing? You can’t even film it. Renee’s moves just now were insanely brave.]

[Renee, oh Renee, how many secrets do you have left?]

[Anyone the Boxing King can KO, Renee definitely can too. But the people Renee can KO, Boxing King might not dare.]

[In front of Renee, Boxing King is just a little brother.]

For the first time, local Chinese viewers didn’t interrupt the foreigners’ hype—he’s from Z-country, only ever saw kung fu in movies (which are mostly fake anyway), but Renee Morgan’s one fatal stab to the tiger was utterly shocking, proof that art comes from real life.

Renee Morgan really is an exceptional artist.

Taylor had just escaped death, shaking all over, even his two-meter-tall frame couldn’t stop trembling.

Sean was holding a long stick-spear—when Renee acted, another tiger below tried to leap up, but Sean’s spear drove it back.

Four tigers: one blinded and weak, one stabbed through the neck and barely alive, and the other two circling but not attacking—for now.

Renee and the others leaned against the tree, not daring to relax, knives gripped tight to their chests.

No idea how much time passed, but eventually the four tigers below started whining and slowly left.

The wounded tiger was dragged off by the other three, biting onto it.

Renee slumped against the branch, exhaling long and slow, only then realizing her back was soaked in sweat.

Taylor wasn’t much better—sweat clouded his eyes and it took ages to clear them, finally relieving his aching vision.

Sean was the calmest one: "Shall we go?"

The tree was still the safest spot for now, but they couldn’t stay up there forever.

Taylor was first to jump down, followed by Sean, then Renee.

Crisis averted—this was the point where they’d normally split up.

But Taylor shook his head, all serious: "I think the three of us should team up."

Sean: "..."

Renee: "..."

Wasn’t he just complaining they were dead weight?

Taylor saw their silence and hurried to explain: "I admit you two are strong—not dead weight. No, I mean, those other guys are dead weight, not you."

Sean: "..."

Renee: "..."

Renee was at least used to foreigners’ way of talking, exhaled, "Fine, so what do we do now?"

Sean also looked to Taylor.

The two of them were basically clueless about the base forest, but Taylor seemed more experienced than they were.

Taylor was pumped, rubbing his fists: "Are you guys hungry?"

Renee and Sean didn’t answer—just swallowed a mouthful of water together.

Not just hungry—about to starve to death.

Taylor: "I know where to find wild mountain chickens—roast chicken, anyone?"

Renee: "Is it that spot where you went hunting just now, and got stalked by the tiger?"

Taylor nodded like a pecking chick, hulking body looking a bit goofy: "Now those tigers are injured."

Renee and Sean hesitated—they were starving, but this was risking their lives for food.

Taylor, seeing them hesitate, got anxious: "Or we could just steal someone else’s food?"

Renee and Sean shot him matching bitter looks—the guy sure knows how to say the wrong thing. If they hadn’t been robbed by him, they wouldn’t be starving now.

Taylor clearly realized it too, scratching his head awkwardly: "Ah, so what do you guys suggest?"

Renee actually had an idea.

Half an hour later, they finally found a whole bunch of bamboo.

Renee got her hopes up for bamboo shoots, maybe something to dig up, but—no luck. The bamboo was nice, but no shoots.

Each of the three cut down a long bamboo stalk, stripped off the leaves, and left with their new gear.

Renee led the way, and soon the three made it to a cluster of wild apple trees.

Taylor, spotting the apple trees, wanted to charge ahead, but Renee stopped him with her bamboo pole.

"Just ahead’s a mud pit. With your build, if you sink in, it’s bye-bye, straight to heaven." Renee said, cool as ever.

Taylor: "..." Feeling like Chinese chat isn’t very friendly to him.
