Building Interstellar Empire With Universal Synthesis
Chapter 275: What Is Beyond Grand Reality?
Chapter 275: Chapter 275: What Is Beyond Grand Reality?
The celestial pavilion floated at the absolute zenith of the Ninth Heaven. It was a place where time ceased its meaningless crawl, a sanctuary built from the woven threads of conquered galaxies and crystallized starlight.
Within this immaculate domain, three figures waited. They were the undisputed queens of the cosmos, bound to the only man who had conquered the heavens.
Noir lounged gracefully on a throne of polished obsidian. Her six midnight wings draped over the wide armrests, absorbing the ambient light of the room.
She wore a dress woven from the fabric of the abyss, clinging to her curves and radiating a seductive danger. A cynical smirk played on her pale lips.
Next, she tossed a sphere of trapped dark matter between her slender fingers, completely bored by the endless peace they had achieved.
Moon sat a short distance away, hovering in a perfect lotus position upon a spinning mandala of pure silver light.
Her pristine white robes flowed around her like liquid serenity. Her eyes were closed, her breathing synchronized with the pulse of a billion distant stars.
She was the enlightened one, the absolute pinnacle of spiritual cultivation. Her presence alone calmed the raging cosmic storms outside their window. She sought no conflict, only the ultimate truth of the Dao.
Zestia could not remain still. The war goddess paced the marble floor with heavy, purposeful steps. Her crimson armor hummed with the residual intent of countless battlefields, forged from the cores of dying suns.
She carried an aura of untamed violence, a fiery passion that demanded action. Her golden eyes scanned the horizon, always searching for a new challenge, a new enemy to crush beneath her greaves.
The fabric of space rippled silently. Neo did not use a portal or a teleportation spell. He simply willed his physical form to exist within the room, bypassing all known laws of universal synthesis.
He stood before his wives, draped in a regal cloak that mirrored the night sky. His eyes, deep and unfathomable, carried the weight of a man who had reached level 9999 and found the summit lacking.
Noir immediately ceased playing with her sphere of dark matter. She leaned forward, her smirk softening into genuine affection.
"You have returned to us, my beloved. But your eyes are heavy. Are you finally bored of ruling the heavens?"
Zestia stopped pacing and marched right up to him. She placed a gauntleted hand on his chest, feeling the steady drumbeat of his immortal heart.
"Who do I need to kill? Give me a name, Neo. If someone has displeased you, I will wipe their timeline from existence."
Moon slowly opened her eyes. The silver galaxies swirling within her irises focused entirely on her husband.
"He is not angry, Zestia. He is burdened by knowledge. He has looked past the veil of our genesis. Tell us, husband. What did you see at the edge of everything?"
Neo offered them a weary but loving smile. He gestured to a crystalline table in the center of the pavilion. The four of them gathered around it, taking their respective seats.
Neo took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before addressing the three most important beings in his existence.
"I traveled to the absolute conceptual edge of our reality. I needed to understand the shape of our existence. For millions of years, we have climbed the ladder of power. We started in the mortal realms, cultivating our energy, fighting for scraps of resources. We broke through the heavens, ascended to the divine domains, and eventually claimed dominion over the Omniverse itself."
He waved his hand over the table. A three dimensional projection of their reality bloomed to life. It showed the infinite multiverse, a dazzling web of timelines, dimensions, and parallel worlds.
"Look at it: The Omniverse. We thought it was the grand totality of creation. We believed that the cycle of universal synthesis was the highest law. Endless universes expanding, collapsing, and rebirthing in a perfect, closed loop. Every possible variation of magic, technology, and divine power is contained within this sphere. We conquered it. We sit at the absolute pinnacle, holding the reins of the heavenly Dao."
Noir tilted her head, her dark wings rustling against the obsidian throne.
"It is a beautiful cage. But it is still our cage. We own every lock and every key. Is that not enough for you, Neo?"
"It is not a cage. It is a pond. And we are the largest fish swimming in its shallow waters. During my meditation at the cosmic barrier, I pierced the veil. I extended my divine sense beyond the Omniverse."
Moon leaned in closer, her ethereal calmness breaking into raw curiosity.
"The ancient texts say there is nothing beyond the Omniverse. Only the infinite void, a true emptiness devoid of concepts, time, or space."
"The ancient texts were written by beings who never reached our level. They were blind men guessing at the colors of the sunrise. Beyond our Omniverse, there is no empty void. There is a higher plane of existence. I call it The Grand Reality."
Zestia slammed her fist onto the table, making the cosmic projection flicker.
"A higher plane? Are you saying there are realms above us? Entities stronger than us? Gods who look down upon our Omniverse as if it were a mere trinket?"
"I am saying it is entirely possible," Neo stated firmly. "The Omniverse is merely a single cell within a much larger organism. The Grand Reality is an expanse so vast and incomprehensible that our entire infinite multiverse is but a speck of dust floating within its winds. We have mastered the laws of this pond, but the rules of the ocean outside remain a complete mystery."
Noir licked her lips, a dangerous thrill sparking in her eyes. "You have proof of this Grand Reality? You are not just theorizing based on the echoes of the void?"
"I have proof. I found clues. Anomalies that cannot exist under the laws of our Omniverse. Things that bled through the barrier from the outside."
He raised his palm. A single, jagged fragment of dark stone materialized above his hand. It emitted no energy, no light, and no magical aura. Yet, looking at it made the three wives feel a profound sense of vertigo.
"I found this embedded in the outer shell of the Omniverse. I tried to analyze its composition using the ultimate synthesis techniques. The results were impossible. This material does not belong to the periodic table of any universe. It defies the fundamental building blocks of our reality. It has no atomic structure, no spiritual signature, and no conceptual weight. It is foreign matter from The Grand Reality."
Moon stared at the stone, her silver eyes widening. "It is completely alien to the Dao. It is like looking at a color that has never existed."
"That is just the first clue. The second clue was a rune. A massive, towering symbol carved directly into the conceptual boundary of our multiverse. It was not created by nature. It was carved by a sentient hand. The rune is larger than a hundred galaxies combined. I could not read the language, but the sheer intent left behind in the carving nearly shattered my consciousness. It was a warning label."
Zestia grinned, baring her pearly teeth in a feral display of excitement. "A warning label? What did it warn against?"
"I do not know," Neo admitted. "But the intent was clear. It felt like a sign placed on a glass terrarium, instructing someone not to tap on the glass. We are an exhibit, Zestia. Or an experiment. Someone, or some group of entities, placed that warning there to keep others away from our Omniverse."
Noir shivered, a rare display of vulnerability. "That is a terrifying thought, my love. To think that all our struggles, our ascensions, and our wars were nothing but microscopic events in a divine petri dish."
"It is terrifying," Neo agreed. "But it is also the most exhilarating thing I have felt in a million years. And there is a third clue. The most important one of all."
He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "When I touched the rune, I felt a resonance. A lingering memory trapped within the carve marks. I saw a brief, fragmented vision of the beings who made it. They were monolithic. Their very existence radiated a power that makes my supreme cultivation feel like the flailing of a newborn infant. But they were not infallible. In the vision, they were rushing. They were afraid."
"Afraid of what?" Moon asked softly, her voice barely a breath.
"I do not know. But if the beings of The Grand Reality can feel fear, then they can bleed. And if they can bleed, they can be conquered. They are not untouchable gods. They are just the next step on the path of ascension."
Silence descended upon the celestial pavilion. The weight of Neo’s revelation settled over the three women. He had just shattered their understanding of existence. He had taken their infinite kingdom and reduced it to a grain of sand. Yet, looking at their faces, Neo did not see despair.
