Building an Eternal Dynasty: The Eternal Legacy System
Chapter 187: The Black Dragon and the Primordial Sword
The Black Dragon and the Primordial Sword
A profound, unfathomable aura pulsed quietly.
It had not yet been unleashed.
But even restrained, that presence caused the surrounding laws to tremble.
"Among all the realms and all living beings facing tribulation—besides the Four Divine Kingdoms, a new nation’s guardian spirit beast has appeared!"
The monk’s brows slowly furrowed.
"Though it is still weak—it unsettles me. I fear it may attract..."
"Bald one!"
Warren interrupted him.
The cultivator flicked his sleeve.
A gentle breeze swept across the chessboard.
The countless visions instantly vanished.
The stars disappeared.
The ancient lands disappeared.
Even the four divine beasts faded into nothingness.
Only the ordinary chessboard remained.
Warren looked down at it.
His expression was almost mournful.
"You’ve ruined a perfectly good game." Warren said lazily.
The young monk’s mouth twitched.
Warren leaned back slightly.
His eyes held a faint, strange amusement.
"In times of chaos, monsters are born. Perhaps this black dragon will bring us a pleasant surprise."
His fingers idly moved one of the chess pieces.
"The Four Divine Kingdoms are too old. They have decayed. Their four nations’ fortunes can only suppress Them..."
The smile slowly disappeared from his face.
For the first time, his expression became serious.
Yin and Yang turned within his eyes.
The two opposing forces rotated slowly, as though containing the mysteries of creation itself.
He stared directly into the monk’s eyes.
"Warren" was no longer joking.
"Daniel, the Four Kingdoms’ fortunes can only suppress. But if a guardian spirit beast that could devour the nine heavens and ten earths were to rise—could it completely..."
He deliberately paused.
The silence became heavy.
Then he finished quietly:
"Annihilate Them?"
Hearing this, even the ever-calm Daniel shifted.
His fingers stopped above the chessboard.
For a moment, he said nothing.
"You intend..."
Daniel hesitated.
There were some things that could not be spoken carelessly.
Some words, once spoken aloud, might attract the attention of things that should never hear them.
Warren’s eyes remained calm.
"In the coming days, I will wander the realms."
His voice carried an unusual seriousness.
"The Buddhist monastery’s holy son should also descend to the mortal world to face tribulation. What say you?"
Daniel lowered his gaze.
His eyes rested upon the chessboard.
The pieces were still.
Neither side had moved.
Yet beneath that silence, countless possibilities seemed to collide.
After a long moment, the young monk finally spoke.
"Agreed."
--------------------
Victor had drawn the Primordial Sword Seed for only an instant before sheathing it.
The moment the black sword disappeared back into its sheath, the terrifying pressure that had begun spreading through the heavens also vanished.
Victor stood quietly within Sovereign Blessed Land.
His long, shoulder-length black hair moved gently behind him.
His golden eyes remained fixed upon the sword.
His black robe, embroidered with a magnificent golden dragon, fluttered softly around his body.
Even Victor’s normally calm expression carried a trace of seriousness.
He could sense it clearly.
If he had held the Primordial Sword Seed for even a single breath longer, even the powerful beings spoken of in ancient legends would have found him.
The weapon was simply too terrifying.
The Primordial Sword Seed was now one of Victor’s greatest trump cards.
A single trace of its Sword Intent would be enough to annihilate an opponent.
There was no need for elaborate techniques.
No need for prolonged battles.
Against an enemy unable to withstand it, one thought was enough.
But that was not its only terrifying aspect.
The Primordial Sword Seed was constantly nourishing Victor’s Sword Principle Seeds.
Every moment it remained within his possession, his understanding of the Laws deepened.
His perception became sharper.
The mysteries of the Great Laws of World seemed to reveal themselves little by little.
It was not merely a supreme weapon of slaughter.
It was also a heaven-defying instrument of enlightenment.
Victor’s lips curved upward.
He was satisfied.
Very satisfied.
The Primordial Sword Seed was still only an seed.
As his cultivation continued to rise, he would eventually temper and forge it further.
What would happen when this black sword finally became a complete Emperor Weapon?
Even Victor could not imagine it.
What kind of shock would it bring to the heavens?
What kind of existence would dare stand before it?
Just as Victor was reflecting—
CRACK—!
Something seemed to shatter deep within his dantian.
Victor’s eyes narrowed.
A tremendous surge of power erupted through his body.
His cultivation suddenly leaped forward.
The Three Thousand Great Laws thundered around him.
Brilliant light manifested throughout the void.
One Law after another emerged.
Some were still faint and hazy.
Others had already condensed into recognizable forms.
Among them, several Law phantoms were rapidly transforming toward the shape of a luminous moon.
Victor’s golden eyes flickered.
"Hm! I am to enter Lunar Sovereign!"
He immediately understood.
This was the enhancement brought about by the growth of his clansmen.
Their progress had returned power to him through the Eternal Legacy System.
And this time, the boost was immense.
It was enough to push him directly into the Lunar Sovereign Realm.
Victor slowly closed his eyes.
He could feel the vast energy flowing through every part of his body.
But he was not satisfied with merely breaking through.
If he was going to enter Lunar Sovereign—
Then he would reshape the realm itself.
He wanted his foundation to be stronger than anything ordinary cultivators could imagine.
With a single thought—
Victor’s figure vanished.
When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to Sovereign Peak.
This time, he would not merely enter the Lunar Sovereign Realm.
He would forge his own path within it.
Victor sat down in meditation inside his chamber.
The surrounding space immediately became silent.
His long black hair fell over his shoulders.
His black robe spread naturally around him.
Outside, the entire Sovereign Blessed Land seemed to grow quiet.
Yet within the chamber, countless Laws thundered around him.
Star-like Laws revolved around his body.
His distant gaze seemed capable of piercing the heavens themselves.
