Chapter 243 - 154: Epic Level Longbow, Harvesting Massive Resources

Chapter 243: Chapter 154: Epic Level Longbow, Harvesting Massive Resources

Shen Xing instantly perked up.

After all, the whole reason he had accepted this mission was for the promised reward.

As for what to choose, there was no need to hesitate.

The most valuable item among the goods was that Epic Weapon.

But just as Shen Xing was about to make his choice, he hesitated.

He had, after all, just established a good relationship with this merchant, who had also promised to bring his caravans to the territory to trade often in the future.

’If I take the most valuable Epic Weapon, will this guy hold a grudge and not come back?’

West seemed to notice his hesitation.

He took a step forward and said with a smile, "Since Lord Shen Xing is having trouble deciding, allow me to make the decision for you."

As he spoke, he retrieved two treasures with powerful auras from the silk pouch at his waist.

In his left hand was a Great Bow over 1.2 meters long. Its string was taut, and its entire body seemed to be carved from ice crystals.

Intricate snowflake patterns were carved into the bow’s body, and it occasionally emitted puffs of cold air, giving it a magnificent appearance.

In his right hand was a fiery red ring, inlaid with a crimson Gemstone that radiated a scorching heat.

These two treasures, one of ice and one of fire, were the two most valuable items the merchant possessed: the Ice Burial bow and the Red Flame Heart Ring.

"Lord Shen Xing, please accept both of these treasures." West smiled as he pushed the items toward him.

Shen Xing’s eyebrow twitched slightly, but he quickly composed himself.

"According to our agreement, I was only to choose one item as a reward. Sir, what is the meaning of this?"

"It’s true that we initially agreed on only one reward. Consider the other one a small personal gift from me."

West smiled faintly and explained, "During the few days I’ve imposed on your territory, I’ve seen how it differs from other domains."

"Your Warriors here are all full of fighting spirit. The workers serve the territory with all their hearts. Even the slaves have hopeful smiles on their faces."

"This is something I have never seen in any other territory."

"Therefore, I believe that one day in the future, you, Lord Shen Xing, will surely develop this place into a territory of unprecedented prosperity. You will also become a renowned Grand Lord."

He paused, then said with a smile, "As for these little things of mine, just consider it an early investment."

Looking at the sincere smile on the plump merchant’s face, Shen Xing couldn’t help but smile back. "Alright, then I’ll accept your gift, Sir West."

[Hidden Quest: The Caravan and the Revenge has been completed!]

[Quest Reward Acquired: Ice Burial (Orange), Red Flame Heart Ring (Gold), West’s Favorability +30 (55/100 Trust)]

[Ouroboros Trading Company Reputation +500 (500/3000)]

...

Shen Xing placed the two pieces of equipment into his bag and continued to ask, "Sir West, now that the goods have been recovered, what are your plans?"

"Do you need me to dispatch a troop to escort you to Black Eagle City?"

"Thank you for your kind offer, Lord Shen Xing, but that won’t be necessary for now," West said. "I’ve already used a Communication Crystal to contact the Ouroboros Trading Company’s intelligence station and reported the situation here."

"After hearing the news, our vice-president is personally leading a group here. They are on their way now."

He paused, then said a little sheepishly, "It’s just... I might have to trouble you in your territory for a few more days."

Shen Xing smiled and nodded readily. "No problem. Sir West, you can stay for as long as you like."

"Then I must thank you, Lord Shen Xing!"

West bowed slightly in a gesture of courtesy.

He then returned to the pile of crates and began to take inventory of the goods.

After he left, Hellish Roar approached with a Beastman Squad, each member carrying a large crate.

"Lord, this is the other loot we confiscated from the cellar. Please take a look."

As he spoke, he had the Beastmen set down the crates, then violently pried open the lids.

KLANG! KLANG!

As the lids were opened one after another, they revealed all sorts of supplies packed to the brim.

Shen Xing saw case after case of liquor, Food, ore, and more.

With a wave of his hand and a heart full of excitement, he swept all these resources into his silk pouch.

[Acquired: Bockway White Wine (Green) x100 bottles]

[Acquired: East of the East Red Wine (Green) x100 bottles]

[Acquired: Medina Rose Red Wine (Green) x100 bottles]

[Acquired: Salt x100 kg]

[Acquired: Honey x20 jars (2.5 kg per jar)]

[Acquired: Pepper, White Sugar, and Spices, 50 bottles in total]

[Acquired: Dark Steel x1000]

[Acquired: Mithril x500]

[Acquired: Black Crystal x5000]

[Acquired: Soul Stone x3000]

...

Gazing at the flood of loot notifications scrolling before his eyes, Shen Xing couldn’t help but feel a surge of intense joy.

These supplies were all things the territory currently lacked but desperately needed.

The seasonings and honey, needless to say, were invaluable.

With these ingredients and Nimue’s Master Level cooking expertise, the Food she could make would be absolutely delicious.

The crates of ore and metal were also very valuable, especially High Level materials like Dark Steel and Mithril, which were extremely Rare and expensive.

Converted, they were worth nearly 90,000 contribution points, which was the equivalent of ninety million!

As for the different types of liquor, Shen Xing also glanced at their Attributes.

Similar to the Dwarven Strong Alcohol he had obtained before, these liquors could not only be sold at the tavern or given to the Soldier Types for recreation, but they could also temporarily increase Attributes by 10 to 20 points.

’Excellent. This is a huge haul.’

Shen Xing patted his bag in satisfaction.

Just then, Blood Roar stepped forward and said, "Boss, I still have some loot for you!"
