Chapter 242: Chapter 153: Sweeping the Camp, a Great Haul

That was the most terrifying part.

"Damn it!"

The gray-robed man cursed. He raised his right hand, a gray ball of light condensing in his palm before he slammed it downward.

BOOM!

A terrifying pressure, almost tangible, slammed down, pinning every Skinner in the camp to the ground and rendering them immobile.

But even so, they continued to struggle, writhing and glaring with pure hatred, as if they could kill with their eyes alone.

After about half a minute, the madness in the Skinners’ eyes finally began to fade, but they were still seething with indignation.

"Bastard... Timothy attacked me first! He’s the one who started this whole mess!"

"You’re full of shit! Nash bit my neck first!"

"Damn it, you pack of mad dogs!"

They argued incessantly, pointing fingers at one another, looking as if they would erupt into another brawl at any moment.

The gray-robed man watched the scene, a flicker of barely concealed disgust in his eyes.

’In the end, they’re just a bunch of hybrid bastards. Without a single bloodline purification, they can’t even control their own emotions.’

This kind of behavior wasn’t exactly rare among the Skinners. If it were, they wouldn’t have been driven out of the city.

However, a collective loss of control on this scale was a much rarer occurrence.

The gray-robed man felt something was off, but after carefully sensing his surroundings, he found nothing out of the ordinary.

He shook his head, deciding he was just being paranoid.

Meanwhile, several kilometers away, Blood Roar held a pair of binoculars, observing every move within the camp.

"Hellish Roar, my [Declaration of Strife] took effect," Blood Roar said, turning his head. "But only a few died, and the rest only have minor injuries."

"Did they notice?" Hellish Roar asked in a low voice.

"No." Blood Roar shook his head. "That pack of Skinners sat back down."

Hearing this, the Bald Beastman mused, ’They really didn’t notice anything was wrong. It seems these Skinners aren’t very bright. They’re much dumber than us Beastmen.’

"In that case, let’s continue to weaken them and inflict more damage."

"Once they finally catch on, we’ll annihilate them in one fell swoop. That will keep our own losses to a minimum."

Hearing Hellish Roar’s strategy, Reina, who was standing to the side, frowned slightly, a flash of anxiety in her eyes.

In the end, however, she didn’t say a word.

"No problem! Leave it to me!"

Blood Roar agreed, then raised his right hand and unleashed another wave of [Declaration of Strife]!

The same scene played out once more in the camp.

Dark red runes spread like ripples on water, silently flowing past the Campfire and into the body of every Skinner.

Soon, their eyes turned red as they began to brawl with each other again.

This time, the chaos erupted faster and more violently than before!

The Skinners were already simmering with resentment after the gray-robed man had forcibly suppressed their last outburst.

Now, that spark of anger was reignited, instantly exploding into an inferno.

SQUELCH! RIP!

The sound of sharp teeth tearing into flesh filled the air as bits of blood and meat flew everywhere.

Several Skinners had their throats torn open on the spot, and they fell, staggering and clutching their necks.

"Damn it! You bastards, what are you doing now?!"

The gray-robed man roared, but the words had barely left his mouth before he clapped a hand over it. He quickly dropped to his knees and began to pray frantically.

He felt something was wrong. He seemed far more irritable and short-tempered than usual tonight.

’What’s going on?’

’I’m a Gray Blood Deacon who’s undergone two bloodline purifications. I should be able to control my emotions perfectly by now, so why am I so agitated tonight?’

He took a deep breath and released another gray Energy Ball, forcibly suppressing the rioting Skinners!

Then he shot into the air, trying to find the source of the disturbance.

...

...

Meanwhile, several system notifications flashed before the eyes of Shen Xing, who was overseeing his territory.

[Your Soldier Type, Blood Roar, has incited a small-scale conflict. Talent ’Authority of War’ activated. Your Four-dimensional Attributes have been randomly increased by 5.]

[Your Soldier Type, Blood Roar, has incited a small-scale conflict. Your Four-dimensional Attributes have been randomly increased by 4.]

’Instigating a fight among a hundred people only increases my Attributes by 4 or 5 points? That seems a little low...’

Shen Xing pondered for a moment before reasoning, ’But besides the number of people involved, the amount of the increase must also be related to the subsequent impact.’

’After all, Blood Roar used his Skills twice in a row, but the chaos was stamped out as soon as it began.’

’If the chaos had been allowed to fester, leading to heavy casualties from infighting or even the camp’s complete annihilation, the Attribute increase would have been much greater.’

’And this was just a small-scale conflict involving a hundred people. If I can incite wars involving thousands or even tens of thousands, the Attribute increase each time would be substantial.’

All in all, this [Authority of War] Talent was incredible.

’And it’s a free boost to my Attributes that doesn’t require me to risk my own neck. It’d be foolish not to take it.’

Shen Xing closed the notification panel and turned his attention back to the situation with Blood Roar.

...

...

Meanwhile, near the bushes.

"Oh! Hellish Roar, the Effect was better this time! More than a dozen of them died!"

Blood Roar said excitedly, "But it looks like that Tier Three expert has caught on. He’s searching the area around the camp for us."

At these words, everyone tightened their grip on their weapons, ready for a fight.

"Huh? Looks like he didn’t find us. He’s heading back," Blood Roar said, laughing as he looked through the binoculars. "What a bunch of idiots! So stupid!"

Everyone lowered their weapons again. This kind of situation was fairly normal.
