Chapter 202: Chapter 141: Seizing the Soul Stone Mine, Discovering the Rain God Statue, The Third Option
"A Soul Stone Mine! And a medium-sized one at that!"
Shen Xing’s eyes narrowed instantly.
This medium-sized mine was incredibly rich, holding over thirty thousand Soul Stones.
After all, his first-place reward from the leaderboards had only been 50 Large Soul Stones, equivalent to 25,000 Soul Stones.
And after the past two days of construction, he had already used most of them.
If he could capture this resource point, his territory’s Soul Stone reserves would be massively replenished.
"There are so many Soul Stones here!" Xia Wanyin exclaimed, equally surprised. Then, eager to fight, she asked, "Are we going to attack?"
Shen Xing didn’t answer, instead narrowing his eyes to look below.
Next to the Soul Stone Mine, a group of humanoid creatures in black robes and with crimson eyes was gathered.
Some of them held magic staves, muttering incantations.
Others were prostrated on the ground, praying continuously toward the distant Fog.
[Mist Followers]

...
[Mist Followers]
[Level: 15 (Tier Two)]
[Potential: Elite ★★★]
(Note: Creatures who worship the Fog. Having absorbed too much of its aura, they gradually lose their sanity and can be found throughout the Land of Mist.)
...
"This won’t be easy," Shen Xing muttered, looking away. "There are over a hundred Mist Followers here, and I can sense several Extraordinary-Level auras among them."
"Plus, with the Bonds they get from being in a group this large, a frontal assault would likely result in casualties."
"Indeed," Xia Wanyin said with a nod.
Shen Xing pondered for a moment, then made a decision. "Let’s go. We’ll get reinforcements."
’Just because the few of us can’t handle it doesn’t mean my territory can’t.’
’I’m confident that if I just had Hellish Roar or Hei lead a legion over, they could level this place.’
And so, Shen Xing prepared to have Fried Chicken turn around and head back.
Just then, a Tier Two Mist Follower below seemed to have discovered their presence.
It snapped its head up, a hoarse, piercing voice coming from its mouth.
"The scent of the living!"
The other Mist Followers instantly straightened, their crimson eyes locking onto the direction Shen Xing and his group were fleeing.
"It’s the living! Stay and become a sacrifice to the Fog!"
"Ghuh huh... Fresh flesh and blood!"
These monsters all grew excited, and a few even raised their weapons, preparing to attack.
Shen Xing couldn’t be bothered with them. After all, there was no way the monsters could catch him.
Just then, one of the Elite Three-Star Mist Followers raised its magic staff, condensing a fist-sized black Energy Ball at the tip.
With a powerful swing, it sent the Energy Ball whistling toward them, trailing a black flame.
Noticing the commotion behind him, Shen Xing didn’t even turn his head, simply making a gesture with his right hand.
A head-sized Hellfire Ball descended from the sky and collided thunderously with the black Energy Ball.
BOOM!
A violent explosion rang out in mid-air, and shattered shards of energy flew everywhere.
One of the shards grazed Shen Xing’s cheek, leaving behind a shallow, bloody scratch.
’They’ve got some skills,’ Shen Xing thought, his eyes narrowing. ’Good thing we didn’t attack recklessly. A direct hit from that Energy Ball would have left me dead or gravely wounded.’
He was just about to have Fried Chicken fly higher into the sky.
Just then, Reina, who was beside him, suddenly turned her head, her gaze fixed on Shen Xing’s face.
When she saw the wound, her expression changed instantly.
"You... you’re hurt?" Reina asked, her voice trembling.
Shen Xing raised a hand to touch his face, and a trace of blood came away on his fingers. "Looks like I got grazed. It’s just a scratch, nothing serious."
However, Reina looked as if she had been struck a heavy blow. Her body went rigid, and her face turned deathly pale.
"But I promised I would protect you..."
"Why... why did I let you get hurt again!"
A fire ignited in her eyes, and her red hair danced wildly in the wind like roaring flames.
She was like a volcano on the verge of eruption, and even the surrounding temperature began to skyrocket.
A dangerous, terrifying aura emanated from her.
"How dare you... How dare you harm my Lord!"
Reina’s low voice rang out in the cold wind, filled with absolute hatred. "You wretched things... I’ll burn you to cinders and scatter your ashes!!"
The next second, she shot out like a Fireball and hovered in the air above the group of Mist Followers.
At that moment, her body was wreathed in dark red flames. With her magic staff held high, she looked like a goddess of vengeance emerging from Purgatory.
WHOOSH—
A dark red Fireball instantly condensed at the tip of her staff, and a wave of destruction spread out in an instant.
Not only that, but the Fireball was also expanding at an incredible speed.
Fifty centimeters...
One meter...
Two meters...
In the blink of an eye, a massive Fireball over three meters in diameter illuminated hundreds of meters of the surrounding Fog.
"Die!"
Reina swung her magic staff down forcefully.
The gigantic Fireball descended like a Meteorite, smashing violently into the center of the monster horde.
Then.
BOOM—!!!
It was as if a nuclear bomb had detonated; a small mushroom cloud even rose from the ground.
A violent shockwave carrying a heatwave swept in all directions, causing Fried Chicken, high in the sky, to shake violently.
But this seemed to be only the beginning.
Flames burned in Reina’s eyes as she swung her magic staff relentlessly.
Immediately after, a second, a third, a fourth!
"Die! Die! Die! All of you, die—"
BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
The woman’s enraged voice, mixed with the continuous explosions, echoed all around as the very earth trembled.
When the last wisp of smoke and dust dissipated, all that remained on the ground was a scorched, deep crater tens of meters in diameter, its edges still steaming.
