Chapter 201: Chapter 140: Humanoid Scanner, Exaggerated Exploration Efficiency

"Wanyin, if we’re just activating the resource points, we don’t need to bring so many people. Let’s try a high-mobility approach," Shen Xing suggested.

"Huh? A high-mobility approach?" Xia Wanyin asked, confused.

"That’s right."

"We can ride the Horned Eagle together," Shen Xing explained. "It’s very fast, and you can just point the way from the air. We’ll save a ton of time."

It was the fastest way.

Fried Chicken’s high mobility, paired with Xia Wanyin’s ability as a Humanoid Scanner, was a match made in heaven.

All they had to do was fly a loop in the sky to find the nearby resource points, then go straight down and activate them.

"That sounds pretty good," Xia Wanyin said after a moment’s thought. "Does this mean I’ll get to experience what it’s like to fly?"

"Yes."

"Yay!"

The girl in the white dress pumped a small fist, saying happily, "I’ve never flown in the Land of Mist before."

She was clearly excited and said eagerly, "Shen Xing, let’s go with that plan. Let’s start now!"

"Alright."

Shen Xing smiled and then called out, "Fried Chicken, come here."

WHOOSH...

A massive shadow shot up from a corner of the city wall and then zipped toward them with lightning speed.

In the blink of an eye, a magnificent, enormous Horned Eagle with a wingspan of over six meters landed steadily beside the wheelchair.

Shen Xing took a light leap, landing first on the Horned Eagle’s back.

Then, he looked over at the blind girl, extending his right hand and making a gentle grasping motion in the air.

Xia Wanyin suddenly felt a large, invisible hand wrap around her waist and begin to gently lift.

"Relax, I’m bringing you up."

Shen Xing’s voice sounded in her ear, and she gradually relaxed.

The next moment, the girl in the white dress’s feet left the ground as she slowly rose into the air.

He then guided her down, placing her on Fried Chicken’s broad back.

"Wow, Shen Xing, you’re so incredible now! You can just lift someone up like that," Xia Wanyin said with a look of amazement as she sat down.

"It’s nothing special. I just broke through to Tier Two yesterday and learned a little trick for Energy Manipulation," Shen Xing replied.

"Energy Manipulation..." Xia Wanyin murmured thoughtfully. "I’ve also broken through to Tier Two, but I can’t do that yet."

"You can’t?"

"That’s right," Xia Wanyin said. "A friend of mine told me that breaking through to Tier Two just gives you a huge boost in physical strength and Power."

"But to control this Power, you need a lot of practice before you can project Energy externally like you just did."

Shen Xing was surprised to hear that. He honestly had no idea.

After all, he could already move objects from a distance back when he was only Tier One, like picking up a water glass.

Now at Tier Two, he had naturally awakened the Skill [Spiritual Energy Control], allowing him to lift heavier objects.

Shen Xing had originally assumed this was an ability that every Extraordinary Level expert possessed.

But now it seemed that wasn’t the case at all.

’Am I really a genius?’

"Lord, may I join you?"

Reina, who was still on the ground, suddenly spoke up, interrupting his thoughts.

Shen Xing thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, you can come along."

Besides, with Fried Chicken’s size, carrying three or four people was no problem at all.

He had initially planned to bring one or two elite soldiers along anyway.

"Yes. Thank you, Lord."

Reina nodded and then leaped lightly into the air.

Her red Magic Robe flared out like a flower of flame, and her long hair billowed behind her as she landed steadily on Fried Chicken’s back.

"Wanyin, where to next?" Shen Xing asked. He sat in the middle, flanked by two girls with vastly different styles, yet both equally beautiful.

Xia Wanyin thought for a moment. "Let’s head southwest for about two kilometers. On my way here earlier, I sensed a Black Crystal Sacrificial Tower over there."

"Alright."

Shen Xing nodded and patted the Horned Eagle’s back. "Let’s fly."

SCREE!

Fried Chicken let out a long cry, and with a single powerful flap of its wings, it shot straight into the sky, carrying them with it.

The creature shot straight up in a vertical ascent again, causing the three riders to lose their balance instantly.

Reina, on his left, had experienced this before and immediately grabbed onto Shen Xing’s left arm without hesitation.

Caught by surprise, Xia Wanyin lurched backward and almost fell off.

Shen Xing grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. "Hold on tight."

"O-Okay..."

Her face pale with fright, Xia Wanyin gripped Shen Xing’s right hand tightly.

After ascending several hundred meters, Fried Chicken finally leveled out and entered a stable flight pattern.

Shen Xing was about to take a Horse Lantern from his pack but found that both of his arms were occupied.

"Can one of you let go, or maybe light the Horse Lantern for me?"

Hearing this, both girls took out a Horse Lantern of their own, showing no intention of letting go.

In the end, after some friendly negotiation, they decided that Xia Wanyin would light her Horse Lantern first.

FWOOM...

An orange-yellow light flared to life, illuminating a 150-meter area around them.

Carrying the three of them, Fried Chicken looked like a single firefly high in the sky as it plunged directly into the depths of the Fog.

WHOOSH— WHOOSH—

The cold, damp wind howled, stinging their faces.

Fried Chicken’s top speed could reach four or five hundred kilometers per hour. At that velocity, the roar of the wind nearly drowned out everything else.

After her initial panic, Xia Wanyin had now adapted.

"So this is what flying feels like? It’s so thrilling!" she said excitedly. "I’m going to raise a Flying Species of my own in the future. This is so much fun!"

With her eyes closed, she stretched out one hand to feel the rushing air, while her other hand still gripped Shen Xing’s arm tightly.

Shen Xing smiled and asked, "Wanyin, is Fried Chicken heading in the right direction?"

"Yes, we’ll be there in another two kilometers."

"Good."

At Fried Chicken’s terrifying speed, two kilometers was a distance it could cover in just a few breaths.

Soon, they spotted the Black Crystal Tower Xia Wanyin had mentioned.

The towering structure stood silently in the dense Fog, its surface emitting a dark, eerie glow.

However, a group of Lost Ones were gathered next to the Crystal Tower, all dressed in black rags with charred bodies.

"Fried Chicken, go."

At Shen Xing’s command, Fried Chicken transformed into a bolt of dark lightning and dove.

It was like a scimitar flying at high speed. Wherever it passed, the Lost Ones’ bodies went rigid before crumbling into heaps of remains.

After two consecutive dives, all the monsters around the Sacrificial Tower were cleared out.

Shen Xing didn’t even dismount. He simply had the Horned Eagle hover beside the Sacrificial Tower, then lit it with his Horse Lantern.

HMMMM...

Light gradually bloomed across the surface of the once-dim tower.

And on the mini-map, another sparkling green dot appeared.

"Wanyin, next," Shen Xing said, clapping his hands together once.

Xia Wanyin focused for a moment, then continued, "Next, head west. There’s a Green Crystal Tower about 1.5 kilometers away."

Without waiting for a command, Fried Chicken flapped its wings again and tore through the sky.

They continued on at this pace, cutting through the Fog.

With the combination of the ultra-fast Fried Chicken and Xia Wanyin, the Humanoid Scanner, the thick Fog posed no obstacle at all.

One by one, the resource points were reactivated, and more and more green dots appeared on the mini-map.

In less than two hours, they had reactivated over twenty resource points. Their efficiency was simply astounding.

In what felt like the blink of an eye, they had reactivated all the resource points that had respawned within a ten-kilometer radius of their territory.

Fried Chicken continued to soar high in the sky.

As they passed over a forest, Xia Wanyin suddenly spoke up. "Hm? I think I sense a new resource point."

"A new one?" Shen Xing asked, surprised.

"Yes, it’s a type we’ve never encountered before," Xia Wanyin said. "It’s to our left, about three kilometers away."

Hearing this, Shen Xing immediately had Fried Chicken change direction.

After a short flight, they quickly reached their destination.

Below them on the dark ground was a raised earthen mound, about three or four meters in Height.

On the side of the mound was a pitch-black cave entrance, its edges littered with chunks of dark stone.

When he focused his gaze on it, the resource point’s information appeared before his eyes.
