Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game
Chapter 982 - 511: Can Modesty Put Food on the Table? (2)
The sound of high heels clacking came from the doorway, and Julian Carter’s face grew even darker. No need to guess, he already knew who had arrived. Seriously, was she so desperate for a man that she’d come looking for him? Just hearing the report from the secretariat below almost made his face turn green, yet he couldn’t refuse. After all, he owed her a night.
The door was pushed open, and the little vixen stood brightly there, wearing twelve-centimeter high heels, swaying her slender waist as she walked over. Her long legs were wrapped in black stockings that looked smooth and sheer, creating an urge to tear them open. Damn, he composed himself and stood up. "Miss Bell, please have a seat. Tea or coffee?"
:"I want to drink alcohol," the little vixen bat her eyes, looking sad.
:"It’s daytime now. This is the Hughes Clan’s office building." Julian Carter’s poker face finally twitched a little. She really came up with the idea to drink at this time. What does she take Hughes Clan for, a pub or a nightclub?
:"I want to drown my sorrows with alcohol?" Her voice was sweet and pitiful, and it seemed as though tears were about to spill from her eyes.
:"If I couldn’t keep our appointment yesterday, I apologize. I really had a lot on my plate." He wasn’t lying about that at all; tons of documents and data kept him thoroughly occupied.
:"I know. That’s why I came up to see you myself, to care about your health." The little vixen even blushed a little, damn it, what a joke. A woman making such a bold request of a man she only met minutes ago still manages to blush. It’s a disgrace to all the blushing girls.
This man, what’s his deal? Last time he didn’t seem interested in her chest, so this time she wore a miniskirt so short it barely covered anything while walking, and yet he didn’t even blink at her black stockings. Was he frigid or did he have issues with sexual orientation?
:"Julian, I have a question for you, and you have to answer honestly." If that’s truly the case, fine, even if he’s bent, she’ll find a way to straighten him out.
:"Do you like men?" Her question was blunt, asked as casually as one would ask the price of cabbage or discuss today’s weather.
:"I’m perfectly normal." Julian Carter’s icy demeanor finally cracked a bit; there was nothing wrong with him, not even a little. Eliza thought for a moment, breathed a long sigh of relief—thank goodness.
Her expression immediately turned sultry; her slender hand moved to the neckline of her jacket, slowly pulling down the zipper. The tight black jacket slid off, revealing a matching black undershirt—thin and snug. Julian Carter stood frozen, as if struck by lightning.
Indeed, he was like a wooden man.......
Julian Carter awkwardly averted his gaze, but this woman certainly had a couple of alluring attributes, like a good figure. Since she was so insistent on coming to him, he wouldn’t have to be polite anymore. Relieving stress when facing work pressure was perfectly normal.
:"Tonight......." He hadn’t finished speaking when Eliza already stood up, walked over to him, and gently touched his chest with her finger: "Come to my place tonight." Her voice was enchanting and mesmerizing; she had adored this man for a long time and was finally daring enough to boldly pursue him.
If she had to uphold that vow in her lifetime, couldn’t she allow herself occasional indulgence? Mother, don’t blame me; I just like him.
Once again, he was thunderstruck. This woman’s boldness exceeded his imagination. She was the daughter of a prestigious family, with excellent family background and presumably wealthy. With her looks, she wouldn’t lack for men. Yet everything about her suggested to him that she was very hungry.
:"Doesn’t Miss Bell understand the meaning of decorum?" Julian Carter gritted his teeth and spoke coldly, his words sounding like iron pellets dropping from his mouth, difficult to swallow.
:"Can decorum feed me? Can it make you sleep with me?" Eliza cast him a seductive glance, words spilling from her full, crimson lips making anyone restless, as though a caterpillar crawled up one’s spine.
Julian Carter’s face remained stern, showing no sign of relaxation, yet her mesmerizing gaze, like ripples in water, made his heart race a little; his dense eyelashes quivered slightly.
Seeing she had no intention of leaving, he struggled to suppress the nerves jumping in his head. However, having her here was unbearable; his thin lips pressed tightly. Before he could react, the charming woman stood up.
Eliza could clearly sense his stiffness as she raised her bright face to look at him, wearing a faint smile.
Julian Carter coolly curled his lips: "Miss Bell, what are you doing?"
The woman’s smile was more brazen; if this man wasn’t doing it deliberately, then he was a fool. Couldn’t he see she was desperately trying to seduce him?
:"Shut up." She became a little angry, as she was a woman, moreover one with decent qualities. Why couldn’t she interest him? Why didn’t he devote more attention to her?
Her face slowly approached his chest, listening to his heartbeat—strong and powerful, like him, only his heartbeat was fervent, much warmer than his icy poker face.......
This woman’s expression was multifaceted; yet each one seemed to make his heart tremble slightly. His hand dropped to his side, slowly clenching into a fist, concealing all the cold, sharp aura from himself.
She quietly leaned against him, slowly raised her eyes to look at Julian Carter, the docile and quiet demeanor from before was gone, her face lively with allure, bewitching and tempting, her cheeks flushed with heat; it was her first time being so proactive, but with such an ice block, if she didn’t take the initiative, she feared she couldn’t warm him.
:"Once you’re done with your work, let’s leave together." Her face turned slightly red; she spoke somewhat shyly and awkwardly.
Her long lashes fluttered open; she saw his expression unchanged, brows furrowing: "Can we or not?"
Julian Carter’s thin lips pressed tightly; he didn’t speak, he just walked over to the desk and continued looking at the unfinished files.
Eliza didn’t say anything more, sat on the sofa, supporting her chin with her small hand, watching him handle the files, silently praising: "So cool......"
By the time he finished with the files, neon lights were already starting to shine outside. Was this how he played with his life, working so hard? He stood up, the light from outside illuminating his face, expressionless, as she walked towards him, long lashes trembling slightly, her clear eyes tempting enough to drip water, nibbling on her lower lip, trying hard to resist his innate charm.
:"Do you really lack for men?" Julian Carter’s words were as flat as his expression without any rise or fall.
