He strolled and looked through the old, dusty weapons. He picked up a spear as he lost the previous one.

"Hm." The moment he held the spear, he felt something. Although he wasn’t an expert in weapons, he felt the spear was perfect. Its body, weight, and the perfect balance – it was many times better than the one he used.

He was surprised. Could it be that the spear he had previously was of very bad quality, or were this old shop’s weapons in a different league?

Seeing this, he quickly looked around all the different weapons displayed on the wall. Whether it was an axe, sword or shield, he clearly felt the difference in quality. This was quite unexpected; he had just chosen a corner shop which didn’t attract attention, but ultimately he seemed to have entered an unusual shop.

Max became careful and started to look through every item in the shop carefully. He found different weapons; all were of good quality, but he didn’t find anything extraordinary.

He started to think maybe the owner of the shop was just a good blacksmith and nothing else. He might just not like to show and opened his shop in this corner to focus on his craft.

Just as Max was about to let the matter go, Stella, who was sitting on a chair nearby, suddenly spoke.

"Master, that shelf is strange. Why is there room behind it?" Her spiritual sense saw through it and couldn’t help mention it.

Max’s eyes glowed; he quickly came to the old self and then immediately thought of the secret doors in those movies and had some sort of buttons or mechanism.

He searched through the shelves to see if there was any such mechanism, but he didn’t find anything and could help but resort to violence. He was practically robbing someone’s place, but to survive, he had to do these things. Maybe he would repay this debt in the future.

Max didn’t hesitate any longer. He punched through the shelf.

Bang!

His arm pierced straight through the wooden structure, revealing the space behind it. He continued tearing apart the wooden shelf until the hidden room was completely exposed.

But when he entered it, he saw something surprising and didn’t expect at all.

The entire room was filled with crates. And inside those crates were silver coins.

Max’s eyes widened. He quickly approached one of the crates and checked its contents.

Silver coins.

They were all silver coins.

Looking at the number of crates, he estimated there were at least five to six thousand silver coins stashed here.

This was an astonishing number even a bloodline awakener might not earn in his entire lifetime. Such a massive wealth hidden in here and those qualities of weapons, he couldn’t help but think, "Could this shop be some noble or some group’s hidden hideout?"

His expression twitched as he seemed to have a weird talent for attracting trouble. He, after sighing, looked around the room since he had already come to this; he naturally needed to see through all of it.

There were some other things within this room besides the silver coins. He first found quite some maps of different areas of the Southern region and more.

There were also more weapons in this hidden room. He found an icy bow, like it was entirely made of ice. Feeling curious, he touched it and immediately felt chill in his hand. It was extremely cold, about -30 or -40 degrees Celsius.

It seemed to release such cold energy upon contact, and ordinary people might lose their hand in a minute or two if they held it in their hands.

He quickly put it down and then looked at something different. It was a black and silver boot and looked quite extraordinary. He couldn’t help it and put it on.

But nothing seemed to happen, and then he remembered the armour gifted by Mr Corvus, which had spiritual marking that could only be activated by a specific incantation. Perhaps these boots worked in a similar manner.

But he had no idea what incantation they required. His expression became slightly gloomy.

Having treasures right in front of him yet being unable to use them was incredibly frustrating.

Max sighed and looked towards the final item.

It was a red spear with some deep crimson marks on it. His eyes immediately lit up. It was clearly a magical treasure, and more importantly, it was a spear.

He picked it up and examined it carefully.

But just like the other treasures, he had no idea how to activate or properly use it.

For now, despite possessing treasures of unknown value right in front of him, they were no different from ordinary weapons in his hands.

As he was feeling frustrated, Stella seemed to slowly walk towards this room. She was still weak, but it seemed her condition was improving as the Soul Steal’s ability quietly healed her.

"Master, aren’t these Spiritual Treasures?" Her voice quickly awakened Max from his frustrating thoughts, and he couldn’t help but ask her.

"Do you know how to use these spiritual treasures, Stella?" he asked with hope, as she was a spiritual awakener and might know about how to activate them.

"Ah! Master, didn’t these spiritual treasures need to bind to their users by the simple blood ritual or spirit pact?" She said with confusion.

"Ah, blood ritual. How do you do that?" He quickly asked.

But Stella suddenly became silent.

"Ah... I don’t know, Master." She frowned.

"Those words just suddenly came to my mind. I don’t know what a blood ritual or spirit pact is."

Max fell silent.

His expression became complicated.

It seems her memories really are gone... Yet somehow, fragments of knowledge still remained within her mind.

"Let’s give it a try." Since she didn’t remember it, he was going to try it simply. Since it was a blood ritual, it might be like those cultivation novels he read in his previous life just needed to drop some blood on it.

He was still a bit afraid of hurting himself. He picked a knife from the shop and, after taking a deep breath, cut his palm.
