Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 50: Noble House of Ashcrest
She was annoyed because Max was as slippery as an eel, and with the range of his blood bullets, she couldn’t get close to him, which wasn’t good for her.
She, as Max expected, was a spiritual Awakener who hadn’t reached the next realm, making her power limited. She may be stronger than most bloodline awakeners but still cannot handle the transformation realm in direct battle.
Although most of the transformation realm experts were fighting outside, it would still be troublesome if many bloodline awakeners gathered here. But unfortunately, Max was quite good at running away, and she could not think of anything to stop him quickly.
And what she didn’t want finally happened.
Max, who was running faster than a hundred miles an hour, finally heard battle noises.
He couldn’t let the chance go and quickly changed his direction towards that. He didn’t care who was fighting or what was happening; the more chaos, the better his chances.
She naturally also felt that, and a troubled expression appeared as she really didn’t expect Max to do this well and run, and even he was quite decisive to run without a second thought. Which is rare for most noble warriors, as they usually are quite prideful, but Max wasn’t from a noble clan, so he didn’t care a shit about pride.
Max seemed to be a bit faster as he approached the place where the noise came from, and she couldn’t do anything else but chase him.
She also wasn’t going to let the perfect material right in front of her leave, even if she had to face other bloodline awakeners.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
The loud noise of battle became clear as Max approached them. The group that was fighting a small group of beasts also noticed that.
Max, seeing the group consisted of four bloodline awakeners, quickly shouted to attract their attention, "Quick! She is a spiritual awakener and has something to do with the Beast Tide."
He didn’t care about her identity and directly put the blame on her. No matter what, the beast tide has spiritual awakeners’ hand in it, and she was a suspicious spiritual awakener hiding within the city. Nobody would feel his accusation was wrong.
So, even if she didn’t have anything to do with it, nobody would believe her.
A figure soon appeared in the sky behind Max.
The woman’s expression twitched when she heard his accusation.
He had really thrown an enormous pot onto her head.
She was indeed a Spiritual Awakener, but being accused of participating in the Beast Tide was an entirely different matter.
If this spread throughout the city, she could become a wanted criminal throughout the entire southern region.
Then she would have nowhere left to hide.
The four Bloodline Awakeners immediately became wary. Their gazes locked onto the woman.
She couldn’t help but feel her killing intent increase towards Max.
This bastard had actually dared to create such a huge mess and drag her into it. If the matter became bigger than that, she would be completely destroyed. But she also knew her situation; no matter what, her situation would become worse if Max’s words spread.
The four bloodline awakeners were the ones Max didn’t remember seeing, as they were greyish armours he didn’t see before. They should be from other battlefields, maybe from the northern or southern gate, as he really did run away quite far.
The four bloodline awakeners were also observing both Max and the flying woman. Only a few bloodline awakeners can fly, so she might really be a spiritual awakener. They believed it a bit, but they still needed to be careful.
The four Bloodline Awakeners belonged to the Ashcrest Family, one of the top noble families in Flameheart City.
They had originally been fighting at the northern gate.
However, after the beasts breached the city, they were ordered to enter the city and hunt down the beasts that had escaped inside.
They had been moving toward the eastern side of the city when they encountered Max.
"Brother, be careful. This witch is a terrifying spiritual awakener and controls things with her mind; she even attacked and killed one of my friends when we were fighting beasts." He came closer and again started to push the guys.
Anyways, he wasn’t lying in most parts, as she did kill Jules, although Jules wanted to kill him.
Hearing this, although the four hesitated, they still attacked to check his words. The aura of the four changed a bit, and something like smoke seemed to start to appear around them.
She heard every one of Max’s words, and her anger continued to rise as this kid gave her pot one after another. But she didn’t have much time to think as the attack from the four Ashcrest family came.
"Ash Veil!"
Four seemed to make their move together, and instantly they covered hundreds of meters of land in a veil of ash-like smoke. Whether it was Max or the spiritual awakener, both seemed to be enveloped in it and lost their sense of direction or anything.
Even as a spiritual awakener, she had a special spiritual sense, like a sixth sense that let her see beyond the level of ordinary eyes, and yet she was still unable to pierce through this Ash veil.
She cursed that among the numerous noble families she had to meet with the Ashcrest family.
The Ashcrest Family wasn’t the strongest noble clan in Flameheart City, but it was extremely famous.
According to rumours, their bloodline possessed a natural ability to suppress Spiritual Awakeners.
There were even rumours that one of their ancestors had once killed a Spiritual Awakener.
Previously, she had assumed those stories were nothing more than the exaggerated boasting of nobles.
But now... Her spiritual sense was actually being suppressed. Those rumours might really have some truth behind them.
She couldn’t believe she had encountered the Ashcrest Family among the hundreds of Bloodline Awakeners in the city. It’s like even fate itself was also helping Max.
