Chapter 408: Battle Against King of the Ice Elves

  • Next Chapter

Inside the Ice King’s shack.

"CHOMP! MUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!"

At the big throne, the King of the Ice Elves grabbed a handful of jelly beans and stuffed them all into his mouth.

He was a huge man.

King of the Ice Elves had the usual blue skin of the Ice Elves with the pointy ears, but that’s where the similarities ended.

Unlike other Ice Elves, who were all graceful and elegant, King was an overweight and gluttonous creature.

"EREK!"

King of the Ice Elves, Vaelthar, shouted.

"Erek," meant "more,"

Ice Elves, who were bowing before the large throne, took off in a hurried frenzy to fetch more food for their king.

’...That’s one big guy.’

Fang Raon found a sneaky place at the roof of the building, where there was just barely a big enough hole to see inside.

This wasn’t what he expected.

’If only I could use I Challenge You. I could take King of the Ice Elves with me to the Fight Dimension, where there is nobody that can intervene with our fight.

’I don’t think I can kill him quickly... His neck is big and thick. Blackest Blade can cut through anything, but I doubt I can behead him with one swing.’

Fang Raon was in a dilemma.

He was thinking about what to do, as he really didn’t want to fight the entire village, as that was just suicide.

’...What if I lure everyone out of the village? This king does not look like it likes moving much. But how will I do that?’

Fang Raon looked around and pondered his options.

In that moment, at the corner of the village, he saw a little farm place where they were holding animals.

’It must not be easy to find food here. These animals must be their food for the winter. If they escape... they’re forced to go get them back.

’Gate is always open, so that could work...’

Fang Raon came to a decision.

...

"..."

Ice Elf stood at the watchtower, keeping an eye on the forest outside—she was a female Ice Elf—which was actually the more dangerous gender among Ice Elves.

Female Ice Elves were faster. More ruthless. Lacking even the tiniest bit of compassion and mercy that the male Ice Elves might have.

They were beautiful. Far more beautiful than human women. That’s also what made them extremely dangerous.

It was hard to resist their beauty.

"..."

In that moment, she heard something—frantic screaming—and as she turned around, her eyes widened in a shock.

The farm animals were all running out of the gate—hundreds and hundreds of them—they were their winter food source!

Their King was especially a gluttonous soul, and they needed extra food for him—if the animals escaped, the King would be furious!

And whenever he was in one of his "childish fits," he didn’t care who he was hurting, as he just would kill everybody in his sights.

"Hwllb, lu earol, rwoy!"

The female Ice Elf screamed, and the entire village of Ice Elves rushed out of the gate frantically—children, the elderly, literally everyone.

Even the guards left.

It became quiet.

Fang Raon peeked from behind the corner, and then he removed his hood and looked towards the King’s building.

’That worked.’

He walked to the gate, then closed it and locked it tightly—the walls were so tall that it wouldn’t be easy for anyone to get back now.

Even if they heard fighting.

Fang Raon walked to the building, and then, he pushed open the doors.

Vaelthar looked over from the throne—he just saw a tiny figure by the doorway—with biting cold wind breezing inside.

"...?"

He wasn’t all alone in the building—there were also his chefs and servants—they all looked towards the door.

They noticed that the person that arrived wasn’t an Ice Elf—it was one of the filthy humans that they disliked!

"ARRRRRR!"

Vaelthar screamed and pointed his massive finger towards the human—like he was shouting to them to attack him.

Chefs and the servants were still Ice Elves—but they weren’t fighters—they became chefs and servants because of the lack of fighting still.

Yet.

Despite all that, they rushed straight at Fang Raon—as they believed that he was easy to kill, like every human was.

"Forge."

Fang Raon forged several small knives and then hurled them through the air—they stabbed into the Ice Elves.

It wasn’t enough. It definitely hurt them. But the Ice Elves were really durable, and they just screamed, and attacked him.

"Aurel’s Blade Massacre!"

Fang Raon slashed through them.

"Ugh... agh... agh..."

The Ice Elves dropped to the ground—dead, bleeding from their waists—where there was an ugly sword wound.

Vaelthar narrowed his eyes, and then he grabbed a bell and started ringing it loudly—the sound echoed throughout the village.

He thought that every Ice Elf would come running, but a moment passed, and there was no movement in the door.

"You are alone, king."

Fang Raon said.

Vaelthar did not understand, but he realized that something was wrong, and he pulled out a massive axe from behind the throne.

The massive axe had a snowflake pattern etched into the blade. It was made of freezing steel. Whatever it touched would instantly turn into ice.

Vaelthar stood up.

It was lucky that the ground under him didn’t just cave in because of his weight.

"Oraka!"

Vaelthar lifted the axe over his massive head and swung it down. Fang Raon jumped towards the massive axe!

"Aurel’s Midnight Sever!"

The black blade smashed against the freezing steel blade, and the two forces clashed with an ear-splitting screech that echoed throughout the village.

"Black Prince!"

In that moment, Fang Raon transformed into the Black Prince, and he pushed the axe back!

Vaelthar stumbled back, but then he grabbed the freezing steel axe with both hands and swung it back.

"Duplication!"

A second Blackest Blade sword appeared on Fang Raon’s left hand—then he crossed the two swords in front of him—then he blocked the massive axe.

The massive axe threatened to crush him, but it couldn’t get through the black blades, no matter how hard he tried!

"Hahahahaha!"

Fang Raon laughed like a mad man while grinning.

It took all of his strength to stop Vaelthar. His arms were trembling with exhaustion, but he refused to give up.

Vaelthar’s eyes narrowed.

He had never encountered such a crazy human before, as he had gotten used to easily crushing any human he came across.

The local tribe that they had been hunting was extremely, extremely weak.

"Aurel’s Dark Petal Rush!"

Black petals shot out of the two black blades, and they flew straight for the massive King of the Ice Elves.

In that moment.

Vaelthar clenched his left hand into a fist, and it started glowing light blue—a massive ice wall formed in front of him.

The black petals couldn’t penetrate the ice wall.

’A mage as well?’

Fang Raon frowned.

He thought that Vaelthar was either Tank or Warrior, but it looked like he didn’t share the same similarities with players.

Unlike them, who were stuck with one class, Vaelthar could be whatever he wanted to be—and that was both Warrior and Mage.

The ice wall shattered.

Then.

Vaelthar pointed his left fist towards Fang Raon, and a freezing snowstorm shot out of his fist like a cannon.

"FORGE!"

Fang Raon made his left-handed black blade disappear and then forged a tall shield—then he hid right behind it.

The snowstorm hit him directly, and it turned dangerously cold—any normal human would freeze to die in seconds in this temperature!

"Aaaaaarggggh!"

Fang Raon gritted his teeth with his hair and eyebrows turning frosty—he had never experienced this kind of cold before.

"MAXIMA!"

Fang Raon sliced through the snow storm, and it worked—the snow storm slowly dissipated until even the cold temperature was gone!

Maxima could literally cut anything!

"Throwing Sword!"

Fang Raon threw the blade through the air, and it stabbed into Vaelthar’s chest—but it didn’t go very deep.

"Get lodged!"

Fang Raon ordered, and the blade got stuck in a way that it wasn’t possible to remove it no matter how hard one pulled.

"Return Weapon Ring!"

Fang Raon shouted.

However, since the black blade was stuck inside Vaelthar’s body, the sword pulled him instead—he flew through the air.

He flew straight towards the blade, then he grabbed it and slashed through Vaelthar’s flesh like he was cutting through beef jerky.

The blood spilled!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGH!"

Vaelthar screamed in pain.

"Eat this, you big bastard!"

Fang Raon threw the black blade into Vaelthar’s left eye—it popped his eyeball—the king screamed even louder.

"Return!"

The blackest blade flew back to his hand, but then a shadow fell over him, and he looked up—Vaelthar’s foot came crashing down.

"?!"

Fang Raon put his arms above his head. The foot came down. It crashed straight onto his hands, and he screamed in discomfort as the bones shattered.

Yet.

He was still holding the foot up. Otherwise he would be crushed like an ant!

"Hehe..."

Fang Raon grinned with bloody teeth and stared above—towards the massive foot—then he pulled out his blackest blade and stabbed it into the giant creature’s bottom of foot!

"ARGH!"

Vaelthar stumbled back—hopping one foot—like he had stepped on a nail, and he looked at Fang Raon with anger that could kill a person.

He had never been this angry before!
