Chapter 719: SFDI: Chapter 719

Gen and Kō’s attacks were as weak as Drake had expected.

Both using iron as their ability, Kō’s attacks were different from Gajeel’s. At the very least, Drake wouldn’t have withstood Gajeel’s Iron Dragon Sword by relying solely on his body without using magic.

Alchemy was like this; its upper limit was locked by laws. While convenient, it was only to this extent.

Gen and Kō also understood that their material alchemy would have little effect on Drake. However, alchemy was not that simple.

Then Drake saw the alchemist Sai extend his hand towards him.

Sai’s alchemy was very special, based on "bonds." In simple terms, it swapped the bodies of the target and the person or object with which they had a corresponding relationship.

It could be said that compared to Gen and Kō, created by Duke through human alchemy, Sai, a normal alchemist, had more interesting alchemy.

"Alchemy – Bond of Love!"

Sai shouting the move name was not just for show. His alchemy accurately swapped the bodies of the opponent and the person the opponent was thinking of.

The move name was uttered to evoke thoughts in the opponent’s mind.

In fact, Sai was the true trump card prepared by the Golden Owl to deal with Drake.

Sai was waiting for a fleeting thought in Drake’s mind, believing he could seize any opportunity.

But the reality was that he had no chance!

Drake wasn’t afraid of Sai’s alchemy. Honestly, even if he swapped bodies with Stella, he could still flatten the Golden Owl.

After all, Stella’s strength was undeniable, and Drake’s understanding of Stella’s body was second only to his understanding of his own.

Sai’s vision blurred, and then his surroundings began to spin. Immediately after, he lost consciousness, and his ability naturally failed to activate.

Drake released his hand, which had been pressing Sai’s head into the ground, and unleashed flames to repel the encroaching smoke and iron blades.

Before Drake could launch a counterattack, the scenery before him suddenly changed.

It was as if a pile of paint had been mixed together, creating a bizarre and kaleidoscopic effect.

When the scene stabilized, Drake felt like he had fallen into a fairytale toy house, with toys of all sizes filling his vision.

"Alchemy – World of Madness!"

Drake looked up at the Signor sisters standing on a high platform, naturally realizing he had been pulled into the world created by Rousseau’s alchemy.

In this world, everything was controlled by Rousseau. In the original story, both Erza and Jellal had suffered greatly here.

Rousseau smiled maliciously and said, "The guests have arrived. What should we do with them!"

Drake was unwilling to waste time here and said, "I’m not here as a guest, and I detest this twisted world."

Rousseau was displeased with Drake’s assessment of his created world, but before he could express it, he saw Drake already making a move.

Drake’s fingers closed together, and a ball of flame erupted from his fist. Drake made a punching motion towards the air.

Although Drake was punching the air, the Signor sisters’ faces changed drastically at the same time.

Ene conjured armor and blocked the greatsword in front of her. Rousseau, meanwhile, controlled everything in this world to block the attack.

"Fire Dragon Emperor’s Collapsing Fist!"

Drake punched out, and the flames spread wildly. Accompanied by a series of crisp glass-shattering sounds, large cracks spread throughout this world.

Two seconds later, the flames surged through and shattered the world.

The Signor sisters retreated rapidly, their eyes fixed seriously on Drake, who emerged step by step from the flames.

Drake glanced around. The emotions of the Signor sisters, Gen, Kō, and the others were evident, but Duke seemed somewhat abnormal; his emotions had become inexplicably fervent!

"Sublime! That’s it! Only dragon power of such excellent purity and intensity as a material can complete the finest Athena!

Give me your power!"

While muttering incoherently, Duke beckoned Drake towards him.

Duke unleashed the White Annihilation power, obtained from Athena, on Drake. This was the power to manipulate magic.

Duke was actually trying to extract the power from Drake’s body. He had been preparing for this from the beginning; the other individuals’ entanglement with Drake was merely to buy him time and create an opportunity.

And Drake did indeed feel a force attempting to disturb the magic within his body.

However, even if White Annihilation was a high-capacity water pump, it couldn’t pump ice!

There was no such thing as absolute ability. White Annihilation could indeed forcibly manipulate others’ magic, but when the magic’s magnitude reached a qualitative change, its resistance to external forces was enough to disregard White Annihilation.

And coincidentally, Drake was a mage who had reached that level. Thus, after trying for a long time, Duke found he couldn’t extract any magic power. The fervent look and smile on his face slowly turned stiff.

Drake clenched his fist and said, "This is as far as you go. Make your exit honestly."

...

By the time Natsu and the others arrived at the Golden Owl, they saw Drake sitting alone amidst the ruins, looking like he had been waiting for a long time.

It had to be said that destruction was indeed Fairy Tail’s specialty. The Golden Owl headquarters, originally a magnificent castle befitting nobility, now had not a single intact wall.

Natsu couldn’t help but admire Drake, amazed at how thoroughly he could destroy in such a short time!

Drake jumped down from the ruins and looked at the mechanical girl standing among the crowd... Athena, the dragon-slaying weapon and magical puppet created by the True Duke.

And in her hand, she held an hourglass-shaped object—the Philosopher’s Stone refined by the True Duke.

After a moment of silence, Drake spoke, "So, have you made up your mind?"

To revert the conceptualized Gold Dragon God to his true form required a vessel. And the only suitable vessel was Athena, who had completed the final piece, the Philosopher’s Stone.

Athena nodded and said, "I have already obtained the human emotions I desired. When I received the Philosopher’s Stone, I already knew my mission. This is my own choice after gaining emotions, and I have no regrets!"

Lucy’s mouth opened slightly behind them, but Erza pulled her back. Seeing Erza shake her head, Lucy ultimately said nothing.

Drake nodded and casually took out a black-bodied alchemical puppet from his ring, which bore an eighty percent resemblance to Athena.

"This is the new model Athena, created by Fake Duke. Once the Gold Dragon God is defeated, this can serve as your backup body for revival."

The reason Drake had demolished the Golden Owl so thoroughly was to find the Athena II model.

It only required dragon power as an energy source to activate, but for Drake, it was merely a tool to revive Athena.

Seeing Lucy and the others relax and smile again, Drake then said to Wendy, "Then let’s begin!"

Wendy nodded and extended her hands towards the ruins of the Golden Owl.

"Attachment – Separation!"

Wendy was a genius in supplementary magic. Through her own diligent study, she had mastered advanced supplementary magic. Even Drake marveled at such an accomplished master of supplementary magic at her age.

And Wendy lived up to expectations, successfully separating a golden dragon-shaped energy from the sky above the ruins.

That energy was then guided and converged into the body of Athena, who held the Philosopher’s Stone.

In an instant, a uniquely styled creature, resembling a desert statue, appeared before Drake.

Viernes, the Gold Dragon God... had appeared!
