Seoha’s POV

I have to find Taesan.

I need to find him and bring him home to Sooin and the unborn pups.

I need to find my mate and bring him home, but he’s so far away, so I need to travel.

My brain is a separate entity, and my body is working on its own. I’m walking into the busy street, yet I’m unaware.

A car suddenly comes to a stop and someone yells. They almost ran into me. Still in shock, I bow twice in apology before stumbling to the other side of the road.

Everyone is looking at me with so much disgust and anger, but they don’t get it...have they ever lost a mate before?

Do they have any idea how fast my head is spinning and how much it hurts to not know what exactly is happening.

Taesan is somewhere hurting and I’m away from him.

"Taxi?" I ask and someone, a teenage girl, points to a taxi for me.

I run over to the car, and the driver looks at me, confused as to why a lone, collared, pregnant, and Korean man is stopping him randomly.

"Airport, please" I say and he responds to me in English.

I don’t understand what he’s saying.

Goddess...I didn’t think of the language barrier.

I pull out my phone and open the translation app Minjae showed me a few days back.

The driver sighs impatiently as my shaky hands type in my request, and he starts his engine to drive off, but I’m desperate, I don’t want him to go.

"Please wait a minute, I will show you what I’m saying" I plead but he drives off and I swallow back my sob.

My years with Daeshin have taught me that crying in public only makes me an easy prey.

I’m breaking down, I’m losing my mind, but I can’t cry.

I speak into the app instead of typing, telling it that I need to find an airport, and that I need to go find Taesan.

"Wait!" I run after a taxi, and the car stops.

The driver asks me something in English, and I play the translation of my airport request.

I don’t understand what he says next, but I get into the car. The driver continues to talk as he drives and my legs bounce with anxiety.

My phone is in Do Not Disturb mode, I know noona and Yuki would have called...I don’t want them.

My mate; I just want my mate.

The man parks the car and I get out. I’m about to run into the airport, but the man calls me loudly.

"Sorry, I’m sorry" I apologize, fishing out the cash I took from noona’s table when I was leaving.

I don’t count it, I don’t know how much it costs, I just hand the money over to him and run into the airport.

I get lost the moment I get in.

There are so many people, the scents are overwhelming, and my omega is whining with so much discomfort.

I watch what everyone is doing, so I rush to one of the counters. I don’t know what is happening, but I tap the counter to get the woman’s attention.

She smiles brightly and says one of the few words I know; ’Hello’

"Hello. Please, I need to go home, my mate needs me" I say in a rush and her smile dims slightly.

She doesn’t understand me.

"W-wait" I stutter, putting up my phone to type in the translator, but my phone won’t come on.

I press the side button again and again and again; but it’s not working.

The woman’s smile is held in place, but it’s obvious that she’s only trying to be polite.

My heart hurts, I’m getting scared and upset.

I want my mate to show up, please Goddess, don’t let me feel this way.

"My handphone has gone off, I can’t tell you what I want without it" I say and she looks behind her.

She looks confused and scared at the same time, so I pull out my mate’s black card. If she sees that I have money, she will help me, I’m sure of this.

"See? I have a black card. Can you help me please?" I say, tears are starting to flood my eyes.

"Please" I say in English and the kind woman comes out from behind the counter to take my hand.

"Please, I’m barely holding on, I can’t feel my mate and I feel like I’m going to die" I continue in my language.

She takes me to a Korean man, explaining the situation to him, and he listens to her.

"Where did you get the black card from? Who did you steal from?" the new man says in Korean and I stare in disbelief.

Steal?

"It’s not stolen, It’s mine!" I say, sobbing as the man snatches the card from me.

"The card says Kang Taesan, you thief" he says.

"It’s my mate’s" I say, baring my neck to show him the collar that has Taesan’s name on it.

"Where is your mate?" he asks, eying me suspiciously.

"He’s far away from, he’s hurt, please I want to get back to him" the tears I have been holding back are starting to stream.

"Calm down and explain to me, okay? calm down" the man says.

"We came here for vacation, but he went back home to do something, but he’s hurt now. He’s hurt and no one is there to help him" I cry as I talk and the man nods.

"I understand you just breathe. We’ll get you on the plane, but you need to pay" he says and I nod, wiping my tears off.

The man takes my card and leaves, the woman gives me an awkward smile, but she stays with me.

The man returns and hands the card back to me.

"You’ll get on the plane, you’re lucky to be here just in time. Come on" he says and helps me.

I follow all the protocols and soon, I’m in my seat.

All I have with me are the black card, collar and ring, these are one of the only things that remind me of my mate.

As the plane takes off, the anxiety of being on a plane all by myself rises and I feel my neck for my collar, getting comfort from it.

Then I look at the card just to read my mate’s name; but something is wrong.

This isn’t the black card I got my debt from.

This is a fake card that’s black in color. I look at my fingers too and realize...I’ve been robbed.

The card and my ring are gone.
