Chapter 248: Older sister’s gun

Yuki’s POV

Ever since I became a part of the mafia I’ve thought a lot about how I’m going to die.

Maybe I’ll die from a bullet, that’s too predictable. Or I’ll die by accidentally locking myself in a room and suffocating from fumes.

I’m reckless, I know.

I’m can be playful and goofy where and when I shouldn’t be.

Sometimes, I get trigger happy for no reason, too excited to be like my boss, the great and mighty mountain tiger.

It has gotten me into a lot of trouble.

Being here shouldn’t have been something on my to-do list, but things happen and when things happen...you pay the price.

Taesan has a choking problem. He doesn’t think twice or even once before pinning anyone to the nearest surface and choking the life out of them.

Today, I’m his choke receptor.

Yay.

"What are you doing? Get off her! Taesan!" Seoha’s voice says, he’s screaming at his mate to let me go, but his mate isn’t listening.

"What are you doing here?" Taesan roars in my face.

"Huh? What are you doing here?" he asks, shaking me violently while choking me.

I really can’t answer. How will I answer when I’m busy fighting for my life and struggling to take the next lungful of air.

"Wait..." I wheeze, pushing back against him.

"Do you have a death wish? What are you doing here?" he keeps asking me as if I’d say anything while he’s snuffing the life out of me.

Two loud bangs stills the atmosphere and Taesan’s head snaps up. Growling wildly at the source of the noise.

It’s Taerin Unnie, his older, kinder, prettier sister.

"Get. Off. Her" she orders through clenched teeth.

Her pistol is held upwards but the look on her face is dead serious. Unnie is standing with her hip cocked and her feet spread apart in a fight stance.

"Did she hurt you, Noona? Get the kids ready for a relocation" Taesan says and I get why he think I would hurt Taerin Unnie or any of the kids.

I’m a betrayer.

"I said get off her, that’s what you’ll do for me first and foremost, Sannah" his sister says and Taesan holds eye contact with her.

He’s heavy as hell, but I don’t make a single noise.

It’s better he doesn’t focus on me anymore, that way, I can focus on surviving and catching my breath. I’m starting to see black spots in the air.

"Noona" Taesan hisses.

"Don’t make me repeat myself, Taesan" she says and Taesan gets off me.

The moment he’s off me, air rushes back into my lungs and I turn to my side, gasping helplessly.

Shit! This oppa is really something.

"Are you okay?" Seoha asks, rushing over to help me sit up, and Taesan snaps at him like a snap turtle.

"Get away from her"

"What is wrong with you? Didn’t you tell me that Yuki is family? Why are you hurting her?" Taerin Unnie scolds as Seoha rubs my back.

"Thank you" I say under my breath, short dark hair covering my face.

"Seriously, I took my kids away from that place because of violence and you’re bringing it here to my own doorstep? You better have good reasons" Taerin finally puts her gun down.

She holds it like she’s still ready to shoot, but her face is calmer.

"Yuki is not safe, she’s no longer a part of the clan" Taesan says and she looks at me with questioning eyes.

"What? How is that possible, I’ve spent the past few days with her" she says and I drop my head in shame as they all turn their heads to me.

"Wow...a liar and a home stealer, your resume is impressive" the man next to Junho says.

He sounds honestly impressed but I am holding a grudge against him.

"Explain yourself to me, Yuki, why are you here in my sister’s safe space after I specifically asked you to leave my life?" Taesan asks as he takes a step forward.

"I’m warning you, San. Touch her and I will shoot you" Unnie warns, clicking off the safety of her gun.

I would like to thank the moon goddess for giving her a soft and kind heart.

I’ve been here since Junho and his new omega, the pregnant one with the nasty attitude, kicked me out of the house.

"Yuki-ya, I’m worried for you...you should talk" Seoha whispers to me and I try to talk.

"I-" I start but a fit of cough rocks my body back and forth. My throat is still burning from the violent attack.

"She has been protecting me for a while. Taesan, that’s why I haven’t asked for any bodyguards from you" Taerin says and I nod my head.

"You should have called me the moment she came here!" Taesan roars angrily.

I know he’s feeling more betrayed and he’s feeling like he blindsided his family, but it’s not like that.

"You will not raise your voice at me, I am your older sister" Taerin says in a cold tone and even Taesan backs away.

He runs his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"I’m sorry" I say before hunching over and coughing some more.

"Breathe" Seoha murmurs, still patting my back.

"Thank you" I murmur to him again. Taesan doesn’t deserve this Seoha of a person. He’s an angel in a world of vipers.

"Uh...it’s getting really cold out here. There’s a baby who hasn’t slept in a proper bed, and two pregnant omegas" Minjae says loudly.

"Two pregnant omegas?" Unnie gasps, looking at Minjae’s belly and then at Seoha who is smiling sheepishly.

"We have so much to talk about" she points the gun at Taesan as if she’s pointing her finger at him.

"Yes, we do" Taesan says, still angry.

"Come here, Seoha" he says and Seoha lets go of me, going to his mate’s side.

"We are going to do what I say" Taerin says, putting the gun down again.

"You" she points at Junho and his omega, "go to bed"

She points at Seoha and Taesan.

"You two, go to bed" she snaps the order at them before finally looking at me.

"And you" she says and I cringe. I don’t think I’ll survive if she gets mad at me enough to send me away.

"Follow me" she says and I nod.

"Now" she snaps, forcing me to my feet.
