Chapter 247: The Omega I’ll grovel for

Junho’s POV

He’s like a bright explosion of fireworks.

Minjae is laughing manically at Taesan and Seoha as he walks back to our own car.

I catch a glimpse of myself in the side mirror and shake my head. I really do look like a lost dog in love.

This omega is taking a huge part of my heart, and it feels strange. This feeling is not new but it’s strange.

I’ve accepted that I really like him, but it still stuns me every time I think about it.

I fall in love easily, I get hurt even faster, but with Minjae...I don’t know what it is, but I want it to last.

Maybe I should ask Taesan for advice. He’s my only option since he hasn’t lost Seoha yet. It’s either he’s doing a really good job, or Seoha is pitying him.

The door opens and the fiery omega puts his hand on his waist.

"Move" Minjae says and I automatically move, holding Sooin carefully as I scoot away.

"Give me" he opens his arms, and I pass Sooin to him.

The omega’s expression softens as he holds her to his chest. Minjae looks like he’s ready to become a mother, like it’s a role made for him.

"Daddy?" Sooin mutters in her sleep and he chuckles.

"It’s me, Uncle Minnie" he responds and the little girl snuggles into him, resting comfortably in his arms.

"Cute" he coos without looking at me.

Minjae is very mad at me.

He caught me wiping blood off my body. I heard about Taesan’s massacre and went to complete the job.

I killed the three people Taesan and the men missed.

I went to their homes and shot them one by one. Finally, I returned to my own home with their blood stains on me and when Minjae asked, I lied and said it was nothing.

He didn’t argue, he didn’t ask questions, he just returned to the room and stopped talking to me.

Through the jet ride, he didn’t look at me. He treated me as if I wasn’t there, but when I woke him up, he leaned into me immediately.

He’s mad at me, but he still wants me around.

I don’t know what to do.

"Stop looking at me" he snaps and I blink, returning to the present, to the car.

"What?" I ask as if I didn’t hear him...just to have him talk to me again.

"You keep looking at me like I kicked your stomach and left you for dead" he says and I feel my cheeks grow hot.

Strange things are happening to me because of this omega. "I am scared I would lose you" I say and he turns his full attention to me.

"Why?"

"You are not talking to me or looking at me, I don’t know what to do" I explain myself and he rolls his eyes, muttering something unintelligible under his breath.

"I’m mad doesn’t mean I want to leave. I won’t leave unless you give valid reasons to" he says and I release the breath I didn’t know I was holding.

"I don’t want to give you reasons to leave"

"People who hide things scare me, Junho" he says in a small voice, and I nod. I know it’s because of his ex.

The alpha who is the father of his pup.

"Because of him" I say and he nods.

"Yes, it’s because of him, but I know you’re not him. Junho, I care about making this work, yet I’m struggling"

"Then tell me what to do, I want to make this work too" I would be on my knees if we were in our room. I would be groveling for him.

"Don’t lie to me" he starts.

"Don’t hide things from me" he adds.

"I won’t do that anymore" I say in agreement to his demands.

"I know what I said yes to after seeing Taesan murder someone...so please, don’t hide"

"You too" I mutter.

"Huh?" he asks.

"Don’t hide from me too" I tell the omega and his eyes widen a fraction.

"I don’t..."

"I’ve seen you wake in the middle of the night, I’ve seen you struggling with pains and you never want to wake me or tell me" I tell him everything and he blushes, wearing a shy smile.

Shy Minjae is a part I’ve never seen before.

"Well...the baby isn’t yours; it would be unfair to make you suffer with me" he rolls his eyes, obviously trying to turn this into a joke.

Turning everything into a joke is his method of hiding.

"I want the baby to be mine...if you permit me, I would be so happy" I say. I know I sound mechanical like I’m delivering a practiced speech, but I mean it.

"Can I adopt your pup?" I ask and he laughs, dropping his head on my shoulder. The angle is awkward and I’m scared of hurting him, so I lower my shoulder.

"I’m not letting some random hot hunk-like man adopt my son" he says.

"I don’t want to be some man"

"Then work hard and marry me" he says softly, I don’t know if he means it, but I nod solemnly.

I’ll work hard, court him, win his attention and marry him.

"Are we almost at the hotel?" I ask the driver.

"No sir, the boss sent a reroute message. Miss Kang Taerin asked us to come to her place" he says and I check my phone.

The message is on my screen. I had been so lost in this beautiful omega that I didn’t realize.

"How long before we get there?" Minjae asks with a yawn.

"It is only twenty minutes away" my driver replies.

"I’m so sleepy" Minjae murmurs.

"You can sleep some more; I’ll wake you up"

After twenty minutes of watching his sleeping face, we finally arrive at the building.

"We’re here" I say quietly, and Minjae opens his eyes. He yawns once before pointing at the window.

"Uh...why is Taesan choking someone on the floor?" he asks and my head snaps in that direction.

Truly, my captain is pinning someone to the ground with his hand around their neck. Seoha is yelling at him to stop, and he isn’t listening.

"Goddess" I say tiredly before opening the door and getting out.

"Hey!" I call loudly as I go closer and see the person clearly.

What is Yuki doing here?
